I'm so glad that English-speaking vtuber community is not as toxic as Russian-speaking one. It's so sweet that people are helping vtubers. Thank you for the video 😳🌸
The use of a simple image of a PNG for intermission is a really good point I would not have really thought about at all! Very lovely video and will definitely be of use in the future! Thank you, hope to see more content like this! (Subbed)
There's actually so much more that I hadn't even thought about. This video seriously has helped me out in answering some of my queries and questions I didn't know I even had in the first place. Thank you so much for making this video, you're honestly a massive help!
consider also googling your characters name and putting "vtuber" after it to see if theres a popular vtuber with a similar name, that way you stand out more and can come up with something more unique.
I'll keep this video to my heart for when I get my own house, so I don't have to worry about others in the house wondering what I'm doing. Loved this video and it's really helpful! Thanks so much 💖
Options for streaming on Mac: (All are free, but only because there are no paid options aside from pro versions of the below) 1. Using a Windows emulator such as Bootcamp 2. 3tene (3D) 3. As far as I know, the only programs for 2D vtubing are either one of several programs that require a phone with FaceID or (maybe) Adobe Animate. 4. There’s a website for capturing your (3D) character that works all right
I can do everything aside from rigging. I have both 3D skills and 2D skills to make my own art. Though as per usual being proficient at one thing isn't the same as having all the skills necessary.
Ik I’m three years late but with magic wand you can tap on the area you want to fill the base colour of and than the selection layer is automatically done
i really wanna make a 2d avatar but idk how to do all of it.. sadly i dont have the money to commision anybody either. i'll probly make concepts for if i ever do decide to atleast try, or gather enough money for a commision lol
Hi 👁👄👁 just wanted to say your work is really amazing!! I'm still mad at UA-cam because you're so underrated- ŤwŤ And can I ask a question? Do I need a specific laptop to be a Vtuber because actually I'm 13 and my parents refuse to buy me gaming setup or a computer- I'm thinking of streaming art(traditional like SS Manga diary) then gaming when ill be able to buy a setup
Hello! I have q u e s t i o n. So my character is gonna be extremely kawaii as I possible can and should her voice be medium high pitch or my normal voice which is deeper. (P.S the highpitch voice doesnt hurt my voice)
You can actually go with a kawaii design and deep voice combo!! You can alter your voice a bit if you want but if you keep it deep it would be a pretty unique contrast! :D
Cost depends on what quality you're expecting, Vroid studio is a good option if you're on a budget, either do it yourself, or commissions are really cheap (as low as $20-100). Live 2d models generally cost between $150 and $1500 depending on quality. Dual purpose 3d models tend to be $500 and $2000 total for commissioning all the required work.
I would be really interested in what V tubing apps you can use for mac and if there are any that are able to do 2d avatars without having to buy an I phone.
Hi Nice easy to understand tutorial. On the discord stuff, do you think it matters if I an older? I want to get started but like many find it difficult to start
I think I got the artwork sorted out and I get the Live2D rigging thing Ill need to commission someone. But after someone has done the rigging what program do you use after the rigging is finished to stream the completed model?
I really reaaaally want to become a Vtuber, but I'm really shy so i'm scared in streams i could block myself or say stupid things, tips? (Pls i'm serious so don't say things like "don't", thanks for the video i was really confused and stressed cause i didn't know how to move. Lol i made a really long message, thanks for reading it if you did
I’m planning to become a vtuber soon but I’m quite worried about the sound track. Since I’m not that good with music, is it fine if I use a non-copyrighted sound track on UA-cam? (I will credit them)
How tf did you get so many views on your first video? Tf? Anyways, i've got a debut coming up soon and this video caught my attention. Only 11 subs? I'll be number 12. 👍
This was honestly really helpful in some areas, not so much in others. Asking people to google other tutorials doesn't help, cos you consider people on a budget. EVERY OTHER TUTORIAL I'VE SEEN DOESN'T. It'll be like "You're a beginner so use this massively expensive software/hardware. This tracking tool is 'essential'. Using VR is something everyone should do." As a guy with no VR and barely any money, I'm not gonna splash out $1500 on a tool to track my hands. So I guess you're very considerate of people with low budgets, but it'd be nice to have links to other specific tutorials that *also* are like that, cos I haven't seen any. Also "Dedicated vocal mic" *Shows a pic of a Blue Yeti* All voice actors and me: ***T R I G G E R E D*** (Seriously, there are better mics out there for the same price and they don't break as easily, I have a Samson Meteor and it's lasted me over a year without even a scratch.)
hey, thanks so much for your feedback. i really appreciate it! i appreciate your note about asking people to google tutorials. the main reason i did this was because i didn't feel qualified to talk about certain subjects since i don't have much experience with them. i completely understand your point about how many tutorials don't take budget into account, and while there are already quite a few good ones out there, you just have to search for them (and certain subjects don't have any at all). i'd love to make more tutorials on how to be a vtuber on a budget. if there are any subjects that you'd like to see a budget-friendly video or tutorial on, please let me know! i'd love to make one, or if i don't have the skills needed, try to find you one. thanks again for your thoughtful comment! and for the mic recommendation. ;)
Step 1: Have an attractive personality.
Fake it till you make it 🥴
Welp- I'll never make it-
Hey, it says "have", not "be"
I doubt most VTubers actually act as they do on stream
Haha I’m in danger
Why does that profile picture look like Kaguya
This was immensely educational. Thank you
thanks for watching! glad it helped

I just commissioned my character. I'm gonna be a cryptid in cute outfits lol

You commissioned someone, but you'll never get famous, lol.

is it ok if i dont wanna act out a character and just wanna use an avatar instead of showing my face ;-;
completely fine, its just an extra step for those interested

Too bad I'm too lazy, and not good at that kinds of stuff

Do you HAVE to use photoshop for it?? Cuz don't you have to pay for Photoshop?
any art program that exports as a .psd should work!
Thank you for this introduction! It was super-helpful. Where can I find the song you're playing?
It's the Professor Rowan's Lab remix by my pal Champion Xegg!
Openshot is OK for low-scale editing, but it doesn't have stuff like see-through text additions (I use openshot)
did you ever make a mac video!?
not yet! keep an eye out!
