- Just did a few little blog moments from my week. Went to the dentist, had a zometa infusion and started ribociclib too! This is how it went.
You can see all these little in between bits over in Instagram where I’m on stories most days!

Sorry you have to go through all of this. I think you're handling it very well as far as your attitude. Sending love and prayers your way.
“Whatever makes you stupid, you need to stop doing that, “ Dee … Ohmigawd this girl is so hilarious 😂 even with all she’s having to go thru, her sense of humour stays strong. We love ❤️ you Dee here in Toronto 🇨🇦 worldwide to be sure. Oh and I’m old - I’m 66 but I absolutely love your hair 💯
Me too!
Me three! 😊
Thank you for sharing your experience with all of us! Sending love and prayers your way 💕
Love your hair, it sets off your skin tone and eyes, you look stunning imo. I am also going through chemo for breast cancer...sending prayers your way for you and your family xx
I'm a 22 year breast cancer survivor. Thinking of you and sending love from South Africa ❤
22! You’re so young ❤ big love and thank you!
I think she means she has lived with cancer for 22 years. That is vety encouraging! Just found your channel.
@@ethelcowieson1696ahhhhh oh yeah, I read that wrong 😂😂
what type of your breast cancer and what your cancer stage? are you vegan ? tks
@@linnaesthetique8589I had Infiltrating Ductal Carcinoma (aggressive) that had spread into my lymphatic system. Also couldnt get clear margins. I had loads of chemo plus rads and was on Arimadex for five years then off for five years then back on for another five years. I had no hair for well over a year. They also suggested I have a hysterectomy as my cancer was estrogen positive. I'm healthy and well and enjoying life. I try exercise and I eat a healthy mixed diet of everything in moderation. I dont drink or smoke. I salute everyone on this journey. Cancer can be beaten. Much love to everyone from sunny South Africa.
Hello Dee- I have been on Ribo now for 16 months and have found that taking it late evening has helped with side effects. It still causes tiredness and heavy heady feeling but this helps with sleep. Maybe worth changing times you take it and see what works best for you.
I get sick from the Zometa too. It makes me feel like I have the flu. What I have noticed that helps is drinking MASSIVE amounts of water the day before and all the way until the infusion. Drink as much water as you can handle. Truly max out and pee clear lol It does help. You might feel crummy still, but just less crummy.
Sending you hugs. It's all so hard to explain to people that we hope never have to understand, all of the side effects. It sucks feeling tired not to the bone but throughout your blood; it's a different type of fatigue. Thank you for sharing your experience. Rooting for peace and deep sleep for you.
Dee = 💪🏻
You’re an inspiration ❤
When I was taking neulasta I would get bone pain and my oncologist had me take Claritin (not sure if it’s called the same thing in Ireland, the non brand name is Loratadine), and oddly it helped. I wonder if it’d help with the bone pain from Zometa…
Yes did this too! It’s only a couple of days so it’s fine!
Your hair colour looks great. 🤩🧑🏻🦰 Don’t mind the old people. They can lack boundaries after years of frustrations. Life is not kind and sometimes it brings the worst in folks. Sending you my love and all the positive thoughts! ❤️🙏🌷 Thanks for the update! Feel better! 🙏
You are so darn adorable Lol , you would think with FaceTime, people would understand people talking to their phone. You are a trooper Dee,you have an amazing attitude for such a young lady going through all you are going through. I wish you much love and prayers 🙏🙏❤️❤️
Im 72 and I like your hair so They dont know wath nice ❤ Im Lina from Canada
I was on Anastrozole and couldn't handle the bone pain. My oncologist switched me to examestane and I can tolerate it much better. You could ask your oncologist if that's an option for you x
I had the same experience. Tolerate the exemestane a lot better
Same here. Exemestane a lot easiest than Letrozole.
Oh 😮 I’m so hoping your right they have convinced me to try examastane as I have said I want to stop … I have no quality of life I was getting severe migraine vertigo awful pain bone … it’s so very hard on a targeted therapy too which has bad side effects and then want me to have another drug … it’s my second time with cancer and I hate it
Unsolicited advice that’s me 🤷🏻♀️ Letrozole side effects can go away when taking a lot of vit D.
I’m guessing you were prescribed calcium (daily) that contains this vit D.
Instead of Zometa I get monthly XGeva shots. Gives me no side effects. Not 1 doctor can tell me which is better , but I did have to have my wisdom teeth removed 🤦🏻♀️
You got this 💪
^4,5 years on Kisq 😑
This makes me remember when I had my chemo - called it shite week as you feel it lol , then gets better second week and you feel normal by third week. Hang in there girl xxxx
I will be sending prayers for you an your family. I was diagnosed with the same three years ago and your videos helped me a lot. One thing I had was cold caps, booties, and gloves. I did not get any neuropathy due to the cold, and I only had a little thinning of my hair. That's one thing the physicians didn't tell me about, but I did a ton of research on it and thankfully it worked for me. Hang in there!
hello beautiful xxx keep moving forward you are doing amazing xx
I felt really ill for a week - like the flu, and feverish - after my first zometa treatment but was fine on the following ones. It gets better.
Well you look great and I love your hair color thanks for the update hope it goes ok xx
I think your hair colour is really nice and you suit it. It's your hair at end of day.
Luv ya, Dee. Hang in there, you can do this. I'm sending you strength and resilience. You got this. ❤
Please look into DIM and Calcium d glucarate as an alternative to manage your estrogen naturally (alternative to Tamoxifen). Sending love and prayers.
Team Exemestane + Ibrance here for a stage IIIC BC. Be strong as possible. ❤
I'm starting verzenio and hormone blockers after intense daily radiation. Hoping this all works... feeling positive! Prayers for all of us. We can do this!💪💪💪💪❤️
*10:30** this isnt my specialty, it is more yours: but cant we add mixed amphetamine salts and at least low dose codeine? actually, isnt it OTC in the UK, bc it isnt as much of a fash hxllscape as some other overbearing countries?* (of course, trust yourself your team blah blah, like it need to be said.) we can prescribe extacy now, & LSD - cant we do that? microdose maybe? i h8 that thr is nothing. gr8 vid as always. _JC
It’s like you left us all in the car while you went in to get coffee 😂
You’re such a beautiful, vibrant woman I wish you nothing but strength, courage, and love💕
*i recently took up ice cream flavored vape (the iget brand.) i think i like it, it is early days.* i never smoked or anything, but it is a nice, mild item to have. life similar to caffeine. may not be for you. may not be for me either. but i like it so far. ima dye my hair tonight. _JC
I love love LOVE yr hair colour!!😍 it really suits you!… I just cannot wrap my head around anyone feeling the need to question another persons personal style! It’s one of my biggest pet peeves and I find it truly bizarre and really rude! .. Keep being you Dee, I think yr fabulous😊❤️… Thanks for the update and sharing how it’s all going… I hope it gets more manageable and you feel like yrself again soon❤️❤️❤️
I'm stage 3 breast cancer survivor estrogen positive and always taking zometa every 6 months to prevent osteoporosis because estrogen blockers effects bones.Zometa usually first 3 days feel little tired but as long I taking my body use to and help fir my bones prevent osteoporosis.
Thank you for the update! Hoping you are feeling better.❤
You and your hair are absolutely beautiful
When I take first time zoneta I feel worse like needles my toes, flu symptoms as long I taking zometa for over 4 years now more feel sick I guess body use to.
I’m an older person and I really like your hair!
the morning after my first Zometa treatment I felt like I had the worst flu I had ever had in my life. I called my oncologist and had her call in a script for an anti-nausea medication because I was not able to hold down anything and I ended up sleeping for the majority of the first 48 hours after my treatment. The second treatment I was only nauseous for a couple hours the morning after. I’m on treatment five of Zometa and I have no side effects at all the next day
Thanks for sharing! I hope it gets easier and not more difficult. How long will you be on this treatment? Also, you are so BEAUTIFUL! Your complexion is gorgeous. Keep your chin up Dee! ❤❤❤❤
Thank you, makeup doing it’s tricks! I’ll be on this treatment until it stops working 😊
I’m on letrazole also bone medication hoping I don’t have too many side affects love your hair by the way x
Sending you prayers, best wishes and lots of love! 🙏🙏❤️🙏🙏
I feel so bad for all you young people diagnosed with MBC. I was diagnosed with MBC “de novo” which means I had no cancer previously and then went straight to stage IV in November of 2018 when I was 60. I have been on Letrozole and Ibrance since February of 2019 and am doing good. With Stage IV we talk about NED - no evidence of disease, or NEAD - no evidence of active disease instead of remission or cure. I have had no issues with Aromatase Inhibitors but that may have been due to the fact I was already in menopause. If you keep feeling achy bones you might want to try Claritin D. For some reason many MBC patients with bone Mets find that help tremendously with bone pain. Zometa is known for giving some people aches and pains. Love your attitude. I hope you are one of the women who do 25+ years with MBC!
I take Letrazal. I taken it for 3 yrs now. What has helped me through this journey are anti-anxiety meds. I do have the advantage that I’m older (68) and have been through menopause before these meds. Be happy any way that you can and enjoy your life. I adore your hair! Your are just adorable ❤❤❤❤
Thank you xx
Do you have a PayPal? I'd like to buy you a coffee.
You r so beautiful and warm. I am coming up on two years remission from TNBC. It has a high recurrence rate. Developed a cough a week ago.. going to give it another week and then contact my oncologist. You give many of us strength and are so real about what u are going through. I wish you the best and hope u feel better soon! Much love!💪🏻🩷
I had tn breast cancer had all the chemo radiation and just wanted you to know ten years on still not come back but now have another cancer hormonal 😢
Your a warrior 💪 Dee I'm sending you strength and a huge hug 🫂
Hi Dee how are you handling the kisqali now?
Hi, new update is up now!
❤❤❤❤❤
How beautiful personality you have. Thanks for all ypur videos ...how do you made your hair that long and looks so pretty.? My her2 + chemo radiation and 3 years on tamoxifen drastically my never grows like before. That really depresses me and make me feel so ugly. And 10 years older. :(
I totally agree had to come off anastrozole awful migraine vertigo extreme bone pain same on letrazole now they are trying me on a third one as I’ve said I don’t want them after many sleepless nights thinking 🤔 about my quality of life 😢and your right it also changes my mood to very low … good luck and sending much love it’s no easy ride my second cancer diagnosis ❤❤
Thanks for posting! ❤ I start kisqali today😊 been on anastrazole for a month.. big hugs and prayers from texas!!
Good morning beautiful Dee! Sorry im days late!
You truly are a bright spirit and i pray for you daily. Much love a grandma in Massachusetts USA ❤
Your hair color is gorgeous ❤
So sorry that some people are just di@ks and can’t mind their own business. Your hair is lovely and those people shouldn’t be judging others
I take my Letrizole at bedtime with 2 Tylenol 8 hour tablets. No side effects!
UA-cam joe tippens cancer story. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
💞Wishing you well Dee💞
Stay strong Dee and dont let anybody drag you down, sending loads of love x
Thank you Gosia! Hope you’re well x
Claritin was recommended to me for bone pain during my chemo treatments
Your hair color is amazing, I absolutely love it and it looks fabulous with that purple sweater and nails. Feel better love. 💜
I’m 68 and I love your hair color - it’s so striking. I hope your meds will treat you well.
you mentioned an old man telling you not to dye your hair it causes cancer. Years ago my mother in law died from a brain tumor. she began dying her hair red in the early 50's when she was 16. I vividly remember her saying she would rather die than stop dying her hair when the health department in the 70's came out with the association of red hair dyes and cancer. Now a days hair dyes are safe.
You are amazing. ❤
Love your hair ❤
You’re going through a lot with all the meds, take care of yourself. Sending you good vibes hope you’re having a been day.
❤ you.
Hi,I have stage 4 ovarian cancer. I’m on my 3 reoccurrence. I take Claritin for bone pain. It really helps. Ask your doctor if that’s something you can take. It’s well known in the cancer community here. It sounds odd, but it really does work. I go for chemo every three weeks so I usually take the Claritin 1 to 2 days before I get my infusion and then take it 4 or 5. I hope this can give you some relief.
🙏🙏🙏ing for you boots
I have to start verzenio soon, which is like Kisqali. I'm not looking forward to it. I was sent diarrhea meds in the mail for it, too. I have to take verzenio for 2 years. How long do you have to take Kisqali?
I take it until it’s not working anymore. I’ve heard the verzenio is verrry bad for the diarrhea so definitely take the meds with it xx best of luck 🤞
i find vitamin b17 helps with bone pain after exemastane and zumetta
I sent you a message on instagram,im sorry and hug you
Thanks for your honesty with treatment, but I'm sorry that you are going through it. I'm also stage 4, ER+ and HER2- (just diagnosed, same meds starting soon). Wishing you well.
Good luck with it all, you’ve got this 🙂
I pray all is going well with you, Dee. You're in my prayers.
What is this all supposed to accomplish?
Keep things stable?
Tumor die off?
Stop spread?
Just wondering🌸
Your hair is beautiful
All of the above
DEE TAKE A LOOK AT HAMMR AT RICE UNIVERSITY PLEASE
Umm does anyone know if and when the pain stops ie the sore bones and constant uncomfortable side effects of this medication it’s actually crazy and it’s not a quality of life I have to think about walking and how to do it I am fit with cancer it’s makes no sense help ! Hot flushes too and I’m male btw
You need to talk to your oncologist. I’m not sure which medication you’re talking about? If it’s interfering with your quality of life, it probably should be changed.
And I’m old and I think your hair is lovely ❤
I stop tamoxifen because side effects so right know I feel like I am walking into a labyrinth. Feeling that all side effects never go away and I can feel little bit ...more normal again.
I wish to have the same attitude that you have even if you have good days or bad days.
Any book that you can recommend for all those mothers that cancer touched their life and put everything upside down ?
With all my heart . ...you are in my prayers. 🙏🏻🎗
I’d say try not to make it a bad day because you’re not feeling well at a particular time during the day - give yourself an hour to scream or cry or whatever you feel - dive into it - like you are having a swim. But don’t stay in the pool all day - a bad feeling doesn’t have to ruin your entire day. But only if you let it.
💙💙💙💙💙🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️Alle the best you all
Hang in there…each day as it comes..prayers…
I love you hair. I am rooting for you!
In same boat stage4 and on similar medication
Gruelling at times but alive thanks for posting videos
Great hair by the way I recall you without any once ! 😅
Hahaha yes, never wanna be that girl again!
How are I doing Dee it’s been ages
Hi how are you getting on ❤❤
Glad that it wasn't too hard on you. Sending prayers for strength and healing
Dee, I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I was given Zometa infusions every 6 months to aid in bone loss due to Anostrozole. I read that if you start taking Tylenol and Claritin days before the infusion, it lessens the side effects. I did well with only the day after having flulike symptoms.💪 ❤
Love it, will try next time ❤
Ugh! I’ll be going on Zometa soon here - not looking forward to feeling like that. Hope you get back to more yourself soon!
I take zometa every 6 months, and have not had any side effects from it.
Love and prays sweet lady
You are so brave , wishing you the very best x
How are you doing ❤
How yare you now?
😘💚💙💜Please feel better! 🌻🌼

Hay Dee, did you ever get your bone marrow biopsy ?
Heyyy no, I did a bone biopsy not marrow 😊
Sending love and prayers Dee! ❤
Dee do you get hot flashes 😢they are so annoying! Not to mention embarrassing!
Hey Brian.. you know what? I didn’t want to jinx it so I never mentioned but I am not really getting them. Only at night but I use a fan and thankfully I have not had a drenching night sweat! I have been on Zoladex for a looong time though so when I first started I definitely did. Baby powder is a great way to stop it soaking through your clothes in public!!
Thanks Dee mine have calmed somewhat but still happen
I am male and in same boat as you ! Ribo and letrozole however
Thanks for reply this is really awful for me as I’m male but pushing on
❤
I stumbled across your page and I love it. I love your openness, awareness and honesty. My mom was diagnosed and treated with stage 3 breast cancer at age 38. Cancer metastasized and she passed away at age 41. When I was doing my surgery rotation in physician assistant school, the surgeon told me that stage 3 cancers usually have microscopic cells which has metastasized but it’s not large enough to see on imaging. Most stage 3 cancers will have mets. This was in 2011 so hopefully medicine has gotten better.
