Great inside knowledge! I am currently working on my first book and just started with a colorist. Maybe it's because it's creator-owned, but the notion that colors are rushed astounds me! Doing the process, I see so much of the ink work being lost in favor of the color so if they turn out bad or even uninspired, how is it helpful to the book itself? I understand deadlines, but won't it hurt the book in the long run more than delaying it (within reason) to accommodate the colorist?
