Имел счастье быть на концертах Т.Николаевой. Меня всегда поражал её уверенный, интенсивный, волевой звук и предельная чёткость звучания. Её записи сюит Баха прекрасны.
She is awesome, I mean I am awe-struck, she is tremendous, marvelous and great!! A true artist and poet and genius!! This is an incredibly good performance!! Thanks a lot for uploading this gem!
If I had to pick just one pianist for Bach, I'd pick her. You never forget that she was a pianist making Bach work on piano, always with a true Romantic spirit.
I love Tatiana Nikolaevna's Bach interpretations overall. She makes music where others merely play the notes. But I have to say I find the Sarabande here just too slow and ponderous.
I take issue with the sequence of the movements as given in the various comments. I contend that the latter movements should be presented in the published order: 5. Polonaise 6.Menuet 7. Bourree 8. Gigue
There are a variety of sources for this Suite, many of which have the Menuett placed after the Gigue (there's more info about this in the Urtext edition)
Whilst l applaud & absolutely admire the artistic interpretation of the allemande l actually dislike the interpretation of for courante for the same reasons ,when all is said & done this remains as music that is drawn from DANCES & every student & player should not neglect this indisputable fact ,there is also a good argument concerning the tempi(plural) of the courante , a dance often described as elegant ,graceful & slower than the allemande😊

A light and transparent rendition ... a masterwork of interpretation !!!

Majestic!
Sarabande starts at 4:06

I love the way she plays the Sarabande, every note it's right amount of attention and creating a tension.

Yes, true.
Her interpretations are made from steel covered with velvet.
Seemed to have misplaced the Courante. 4:06 is actually the Sarabande?
2:31 is courante, 4:06 is sarabande
Блеск.
Чей же это портрет, на заставке ролика? Во всяком случае не Т.Николаевой, поскольку никакого сходства не обнаруживается %))
