  • I will explain to you why slotted floors are far better than concrete, concrete also absorbs the urine which causes the pen to have a high smell fresh air and hygiene is compromise.
To use concrete or dirt floor pen takes a lot more space because you have to spread out as higher density cannot be achieve.
You have to clean the floor maybe twice a day to keep the pen clean.
You don't want the animals to walking up and down and feeding on a contaminated floor .

Annuss Abdullah I am a homesteader with goats hoping to be a full time farmer in the U.S. and have been trying to find a solution to the problem of needing a small tractor or skid-steer to clean barns with. I think your solution you mentioned here is great. Thanks for sharing.

Mr. Bernard watching one of your videos I hair that's it's $400 per pound live weight if that true then for example if bore ram is 150 that $60,000 for me and then butcher sells it back let's round it off at $800 per pound that's $120,000 which works out to a $60,000 profit so that's none for me and a lot for him. What do you think?

My view is that a two floor is ill advised as urine and dung would reach the animals below . Why were you suggesting to that farmer who had the plastic floor that he could utilize the space and have an upstairs to his pen? Please comment on your view which was odd
