The US Open is the final Grand Slam tournament of the year and takes place at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Centre. The 2023 US Open saw Serbia’s Novak Djokovic and USA’s Coco Gauff claim the men’s and women’s singles titles. It was Djokovic’s 24th Grand Slam title and Gauff’s first Grand Slam title. The 2024 US Open main draw is scheduled to go ahead between August 26 - September 8. It’s a pity Zvonareva never won a grand slam.
Kim was such a strong, athletic player. I'm surprised that she only had 2 career wins over Serena. I really think Kim matched Serena's strength and athleticism and actually was a better, more consistent ball striker. She didn't have Serena's serve though.
Their h2h didn't tell the whole story. 8 of their 9 meeting took place between 1999 us open -2003 Miami open when Serena was at her peak & Clijsters yet to win her first slam. Infact they didn't meet after 2003 Miami till 2009 us open SF when Clijsters beat her in straight sets in a controversial match. BTW Clijsters had winning h2h against Venus (beating her last 5 times), Henin & Sharapova.

@rajusaha855 very true..and even in those early meetings..kim did come close many times..quite a few were 3 setters..Serena just had that extra something/fight back when she needed it
