Interesting. I think I went back to Suzuki 7 times for wheel alignment issues. Heard every excuse under the sun. Drove me nuts, I was questioning how some people could work in a mechanical industry. Fortunately I found a dealer who sorted it out. Wheel alignment issues on the Jimny seem very common
A little caveat I think worth mentioning, most wheel aligning machines these days are useless, operating on lasers that read the wheel angles from reflectors mounted to the wheels via flimsy plastic mounts which themselves have many variations of things that can occur when they’re being fitted 7:43 that can throw them off. These machines are designed so you can pump out a wheel alignments on a cars as quick as possible, but in my years of experience in the trade they’re often just as unreliable as the operator. And on top of that!! The wheel aligner tech usually isn’t afforded the time (by the higher-ups) to roadtest the car properly, and rectify any issues. What you’ve pointed out in the video should be standard practice of anyone doing a wheel alignment, if they aren’t doing this then they shouldn’t be doing the job. The only way I’ve ever gotten a wheel alignment spot on was doing it on flat ground with a string and a ruler, but you’ll never hit KPI’s doing that!! Lol
I spent a lot of time adjusting the drag link only to see how the ECU nullified my efforts after a few hundred meters of test driving. Your tip (also in facebook where we started chatting) to disconnect the battery did the trick. You have to cut off power to the electronics before the adjustment. Go figure. Kudos for finding this out mate!!
HighBridge 1st arms and prostaff 3 inch kit with a 25mm coil spacer. the shocks come in the kit are a KYB unit that i havent found available anywhere else yet.
If any shop doesn't align the steering wheel while doing a wheel alignment, they shouldn't be trusted with your money. That's some basic stuff right there.

I ran a retail tyre shop for 30 years , if the alignment operator doesn't know what he is doing that $75 000 wheel alignment machine is worthless.

Nice one brus! 🤟🏼🐍
thankyou man!
I remember our tech taught us this thing at the very start, set the wheel str8 before anything, the mech learning must of been asleep.
I guess the same thing happened when the bloke did my wheel alignment the steering wheel was indeed on the piss
Yeah. Most of the tyre shop can’t get it done properly.
Good vid….awesome rig.
Helpful vid - cheers. What adjustable shocks, springs and radius arms are you running?

True but they really not helping and no effort put in.
