- Here is our return trip onboard SuperCat St. Braquiel from Port of Ormoc City, Leyte to Port of Cebu City, Philippines. The same as our departure onboard St. Camael the sea was also rough when we were between Danao City and Camotes Islands.

I love the supercat service way back when it served cebu tagbilaran dumaguete dapitan route. Big waves during the habagat season especially going to and from Dapitan city. But it was comfortable or tolerable to say the least. I remember back then cebu tagbilaran was just a bit over an hour

Scat 32 is my "fave" vessel in scat fleet wayback ATSC days, have a lot of memories in Iloilo-Bacolod route. "Scat" slang for Supercat + vessel number. maka mingaw pud si Scat 22, Scat 25, Scat 36 og ang last Scat 26 🤠

Bossing when boat/ship is about to leave the pier the term is unhooking and when it arrives to next port it is mooring meaning to tie/secure to the pier side. Thanks for sharing your ride.

nung nasakyan ko si Sean Ferry di xa masyadong matulin nasa 1.5 hrs ang travel nya. Dapa to Siargao.

you are absolutely right. my hear breaks to those who got their trips cancelled tapos they are not from Cebu pa. The best option for this season is take those ferries talaga, those are not prone to last minute cancellations.

Very good sharing of ideas for everyone to be aware and cautious in decision when to travel or not in relation to weather systems and safe travel esp. families . Though good experience to ride supercat , comparably with the aircraft that causes now so much tensions in flts .We don't have yet here in Davao region except aircraft and other small vesselcraft in Cotabato city or Gensan going to Zamboanga City . Otherwise More common with buses only by tracking . More , more videos pa . Watching from Davao City .

I also experienced this, Cebu to Hilongos Port. The sea was very rough and we ended up going back to Cebu due to the very rough weather. Sadly, I wasn't able to experience Christmas due to this problem.
I am so sorry to hear that. The safety of the passengers is still the top priority. In times like this where the weather bad better take those big ships as they are less prone to cancellations.

Now, all are propelled by fixed propellers.
My only problem with this vessel is the business class, they could have made it more bigger.

Awesome video! But terrible weather. I'm no expert but looks like the ferry company needed its fleet to return to the home port for repositioning once the weather clears up.
They were cleared by coastguard Sir but they did cancel their trips after this to Ormoc due to rough sea conditions. Thank you Sir!

I suffered the same weather conditions both Cebu-Ormoc and two weeks later Ormoc-Cebu in February 2023. Where would you feel the rolling the most: in tourist class or upstairs in business class? The difference in price is not that much. And what is safer: the SuperCat or the regular ferry? I would appreciate your recommendations as I will be going back in February 2025.
Since you have tried the SuperCats you can try the regular ferry of Roble Shipping and get the VIP Room

Nag exist pa ang tricat dati grabi ang mga alon sinoong mabisita lang ang gf na naging awasa na sa bandang huli ay nag break rin pala. Lol

That captain should be fired for taking a very old catamaran on such a dangerous journey when he knew about gale force conditions for a week. It looks like the passengers were timid and not complaining about their family's safety. Maybe that person Amihan is to blame.
The captain will have an allowable wave height graph which is likely to be max 3-4m waves. If he is inside that envelope and considers it safe to undertake the voyage, he is within his rights to proceed. The waves did not look more than 1-1.5m, although that would be judged better by the captain
