আওয়ামী লীগের ভাষায় এবারের নির্বাচন ছিল ৭০ এর গণজোয়ারের মত। ৭০ এর গণজোয়ারের পর হাজার ১৯৭১ এর মত কিছু ঘটবে কিনা তা এখনও বলা না গেলেও ; বলা চলে , গায়েবি ভোটের মাধ্যমে ,জোচ্চুরির মাধ্যমে , যে আওয়ামী লীগ সরকার আজকে শপথ নেবে তাদের ভিত্তি জনগণ নয় -তাদের ভিত্তি পুলিশ ;প্রশাসন সহ অন্যান্য বাহিনী ।
সরকারের এখন চেষ্টা শুরু হয়েছে বিএনপিকে ভাঙার যেন কোন ধরনের শক্ত প্রতিরোধ না হয় ,যেন কোনভাবে সরকার চ্যালেঞ্জের মুখে না পড়ে....
