I have been a sign language interpreter and involved in the Deaf community for many years. Never have I seen a song done so beautifully that tears are streaming down my cheeks. Thank you. 💕
She not just signing word for word, she put the words into how it feels, like during “time has brought your heart to me”, she doesn’t sign the exact words, instead she manipulates the heart to make it look like it’s being brought to her. It’s simply amazing
This is so much more than a song translated unto hands - it's music. When you started tearing up I did too. I couldn't blink while watching this. Thank you so much for your truly amazing ASL interpretations. Honestly, I love this so much. I've been emotionally attached to this song for so long, and you managed to bring it up to an even higher level. THANK YOU!
Wow just wow thank you so much for this amazing comment! It literally made me speechless. You're amazing and I am so appreciate of you taking the time to write this comment. You just made my night.
"All a long I believed I would find you/Time has brought you heart to me" is such a sweetly translated line! Even if I can hear, it gives more depth to the line... I love it!
@@Sarah.Tubert sorry, I couldn't find the answer on your channel and I am new to learning sign language. So I am sorry if it is stupid to ask but how do you do the words in tact with the music? Or you personally can hear and know the sign language because maybe you have a deaf family member? Again, very sorry if it is a dumb or rude question. I really enjoy your music videos!

She has a show where she and a friend talk about their experience with being Deaf including sharing about her experience learning ASL. The channel is called What the Deaf & its captioned which helps because I’m not fluent in ASL. :)
Wow. This was beautiful to watch. I have always had a soft spot for Asl. When I was in junior high I dated a deaf boy. Honestly I was the girl everyone in school was afraid to mess with. Gabriel was the only Deaf person in school and the other kids used to pick on him something awful just to hear him screech in anger because he couldn't talk and tell them to piss off. What started as me telling people he was my boyfriend so they would be too afraid to mess with him (it took me fighting one of his biggest bullies, but after that nobody else messed with him) turned into actually dating for two years. We were dating for almost a year before he got an interpreter. Till then we used pencil and paper to communicate in person with a little signing he was teaching me between, and that deaf phone service where he would type into a computer (I guess? This was the 90's, mind you.) and someone would read it to me, then type what I said back We lost touch after junior high, but I still think about him and wonder how he is doing...
Sarah, I'm a deaf individual who was born hearing; I lost my hearing as a child. I've learned sign language, but not to the point of being fliuent. Ever since a friend gave me a link to one of your videos, I've watched you perform a different song every day. You do so well with these songs. You really pour your heart and soul into signing them. No, I do not completely understand your signing. I have to read the lyrics in English, and then watch you, for understanding to dawn on me. But the totality of your singing, and of you, is absolutely gripping for me. I can see immediately that you are in the very top bracket. Of all the deaf actors and actresses I have seen, your wonderful performances puts you at the top. You have an originality, a deep genius for singing.

This was the way i did my first dance with my husband, singing to him in sign before joining together and dancing.. cried and will always hold it in my heart.
My cat was extraordinarily sick even though he was only 6 years old. During the last two months of his life, I sang this to him almost every day and he would purr and cry when I stopped. He loved piano, he loved music, but this is his song. Even though he was sick, he wasn't expected to pass but he did last November very suddenly. It was absolutely wrenching because of how much he had struggled to get through and to come so close to being better, but his poor body couldn't take anymore. When I hear this song I know it's him watching me. I prayed to God a special prayer today asking for a sign because I was having a particularly bad day. I'm taking ASL and just searched UA-cam for "ASL songs" for practice. Your video was the first to come up. I'm absolutely weeping right now, for the sign from God and my baby, and for unbelievable movement and beauty that you brought to this incredible song. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for doing this video. It means so much more than you could ever know. God bless from Toronto Canada xoxo

This was our wedding song. We never saw the movie. We believe we've been together many life times, this song was the perfect representation of that belief! Loved watching you sign it. Learning ASL so I can sign at our church.
Sarah, I am so happy to see this. It brought me to tears. I subscribed to you close to a year ago I believe and I have never been disappointed in your videos and I learn from watching you.
Absolutely beautiful conversion for the hearing impaired. The gestures of her hands portrays such a love story as to be everlasting. Such talent, it brought tears to my eyes and not just the words, but the fluid gestures of silence and forever love.
You have inspired me to start learning sign language. You are an amazing person. I can't even begin to imagine how you feel whenever your put I public and people don't know sign language. Having an interpreter would be hard. I hope you have an amazing Thanksgiving and Christmas. You are my inspiration!!!!!
This is the best signing of a song I have seen, besides Rosa Timms' work. I can never hear this song though without wondering where all the Twilight characters are!
This song goes so well with sign language. I loved it when the bride signed for her husband on their wedding day and it was the most beautiful thing I've seen. For some reason, signing the song gave it so much more meaning. Sign language is a very beautiful language.
This song is truly beautiful, and the way you translated for the deaf to see shows that you are kindhearted and beautiful on the inside and outside. Thank you for inspiring me to help others with disabilities! I have been teaching myself ASL online and your videos are so inspiring, they remind me why I wanted to start learning ASL to help others. Thank you so much!
Oh my goodness, this video gave me goosebumps! It's so beautiful, heart-warming, and very emotional!! Also, I saw a tear stroll down your cheek, and that gave me chills! I actually started crying myself! I remember playing this song, A Thousand Years by Christina Perri, for my grandmother, who is in heaven. But, when she was still alive, I would play this song, just sitting by her bedside, holding her hand tightly. When I played the song, I would always cry. Because it was beautiful and emotional..
at my graduation, we sang, played on ukulele and did sign language to this song. We learned from this video. We chose this song because a person in our classes became very sick, which ended up in them losing their hearing. Every eye had a tear.
OMG you moved my heart my soul ! What beautiful interpretation, I think I stopped breathing for a moment! I love ASL ❤️ I’m learning with the best teacher in the 🌎 JP! I miss my classes, the way you show your emotions through your hands it’s stoning! Thank you 🙏

People don't understand sign language is an art and it shows more emotion than words ever could. I wish people understood the asl is more than just a hobbie. I also wish people would stop making fun of the fact that when I go to college I want to study asl translating. But, my point is that everybody needs to see this video and maybe, just maybe, understand what sign language is about.
My friend sent me this and even if I don't know ASL, this is still a lovely video. It's so beautifully made! Amazing talent. I've struggled for years to sign while singing and it's different than actually signing, there's a fluidity about it. I'm not completely deaf yet, but because of my illness; I'm not just losing the ability to hear; I don't hear things correctly. It's like a radio station not tuned (comes and goes)and the words are jumbled. Picture the cartoon "peanuts " !! The teacher talking : that's how I hear everything.
