The United States has to switch to metric system like Canada and majority of countries. Imperial systm does not make sense. In Celsius, water freezes at 0 degree and boils at 100 degrees that makes it much easier. Fahranheit, water freezes at 32 degrees and boils at 212 degrees that is ridiculous. Why you have to start from 32 instead of 0 and why you have to divide 180 instead of 100. Imperial system is like using 18 fingers (unnatural and difficult) instead of 10 fingers (natural and easier) for counting system.

The United States is going to join the rest of the world eventually because only 3 countries use Imperial System; US, Liberia, and Myanmar.

Totally agree. I'm 67 and have lived in the US all my life, but I would drop the imperial system in a heartbeat. Once you're exposed to the metric system in science class, you realize how goofy the imperial system is... but to be fair, I would still prefer drinking a pint rather than 473mL.

On a weather forecast the reporter said it was -58F in Alaska.
So I said to my GF:
    - They are overreacting, I'll call my American buddy Jason who lives up there, and he'll tell me the truth.
    I called Jason and asked,
    - Say, pal, what's the weather like where you are?
    - It's around -6F I would say.
    - I knew our newscaster was lying, she said it was - 58F.
    - Oh, well, it might be outside ...
