There's a couple of possibilities - she might have heard the song a while ago and accidentally copied it ala George Harrison's "My Sweet Lord"/The Chiffon's "He's So Fine", or a producer came up with the instrumental part hoping no one would notice, or it's a total coincidence (the verse part is an easy 8th-note chord progression that a lot of musicians use). I don't know; Delta isn't a household name in the states but I'll give her the benefit of the doubt.
