Thank you for this video. This is absolutely a gold mine of consolidated information on Digital Transformation. I am trying to build something in India that would help local MSMEs and your videos are an absolute treasure trove.
I am following that channel for about 8 months now - for me this episode is the one that gave me the orientation I was looking for…the what, the why, the how and the journey… yes, it was all said in the one way or another…but with this one the pieces fall together…maybe it’s not the episode but me reaching a stage that I feel I slowly understand the digital transformation journey! But I guess many will feel like this after having watched this one- thanks walker and 4.0😊
Good to emphasize the journey for digital transformation and that platforms such as Inductive Automation are a great start. At Penn College we are expanding our automation student skillset beyond Ignition to include Canary and Highbyte. It's good to see the big picture as you present it in this video. Looking forward to Part 2! Thanks Walker!
It's essential to understand that we need to build a stack that supports digital transformation, not choose a single solution. Thank you for reassuring us in our choices to build our IIoT product with different solutions
Walker's out here giving it away for free! In the '80s Toyota would bring almost anyone in and show them "LEAN" with the premise that by the time you get home and do what we showed you, we'll be miles ahead because of our continuous improvement culture. In the late '90s, the Marines had a slogan - "Winning Battles and Making Marines" to demonstrate the highest level of professionalism. "Integrating and Making Integrators to create, sustain, and defend American middleclass manufacturing jobs" - Walker Reynolds (probably)...he ain't even scared.
Great video. I think you need to be clearer in the difference between. What is an IIoT platform - Can it Connelct collect store ..... across all levels of the stack What makes it a good Platform - how well does it connect collect store.... _ What is the time to value - What is the licensing cost - how does it scale - does it land and expand etc. If a platform can meet the criteria but doe not support land and expand and is expensive, it is still an IIoT platform but it will not score as well.
Thanks for sharing. Walking from the Digital Maturity to what Digital transformation actually means. I have a question, in the architecture within DMZ-C, it refers AMPS and WPM; Can you expand on those please?
Some of the components you're describing as must-haves for an IIoT platform weren't even on the radar when Gartner formulated this MQ back in 2017. While hundreds of platforms can connect, collect, store, analyze, visualize, predict, solve, etc., concepts like no-code citizen developers weren't always a thing.
That’s an excerpt from the OneNote we give access to our Mastermind Students. Walker really pulled the curtain back! Have you heard of our Mastermind Program yet?
UNS is omniscient and omnipresent. It's everywhere and knows everything! UNS will eventually Unified multiple namespaces across your enterprise to the cloud as your digital maturity increases you will also want to leverage the massive compute in the cloud for AI / ML.
@@ZackScriven I wonder if you could possibly send a complete architecture where MDM, IIOT platform along with ESB are shown in the context of OIL and GAS Refinery

Amen Youri!!
Not only the executives, this video is essential to watch by the employees too. Sharing it to my employees right now 🏃♂️

Fantastic video. One of the clearest and most concise explanations I have seen.

Great video, Walker (and team). Very helpful and informative as always.
Glad you enjoyed it
4:44 The Industry 4 Manufacturing Holy Grail. The most concise and simple explanation of that I have seen.
Thank you. And it’s been that way for years!
Great video.
I think you need to be clearer in the difference between.
What is an IIoT platform
- Can it Connelct collect store ..... across all levels of the stack
What makes it a good Platform
- how well does it connect collect store....
_ What is the time to value
- What is the licensing cost
- how does it scale
- does it land and expand
etc.

Great video, thanks for that. Looking forward the part 2 then😊. Any idea on when you will publish it? Thanks
Not sure yet!
Walker, you have got to do the tier list for IIoT Platforms... F, D, C, B, A, S (God Tier)
YES!
Thank you for share! Great video
Thanks for watching!

Is there a part 2 of this video post as yet?
Not yet!
I would like to know where MDM fits in all that
In the ERP later as a data store typically
