- Today I'm sharing a week's worth of school lunch ideas. I try to make lunch healthy(ish) and fun for my kids without driving myself crazy or taking all day to make their lunch.

Try putting the broccoli in the oven with some olive oil and salt... my kids LOVE it that way
For how long ? Do you place the broccoli in the oven ?
Those Thermos containers are awesome!! I heat up water for about 2 minutes and then leave the water in there for just a few minutes and it's so perfect for my kindergartner's lunch. Not too hot, not too cold :)

You absolutely inspire me! I started watching you when I was 13 and now has a 3 year old and she loves to eat.
I really enjoyed that, especially seeing what was eaten at the end of the day.

I have one of those thermos cups for my older daughter and she uses it all the time! They definitely keep the food hot and it makes it really convenient sometimes to have leftovers from dinner the night before, for lunch the next day!! 😃
Hi Jennifer, thanks for the ideas! With the toasted ham and cheese sandwiches I put butter on the outsides of the bread, that gives it more flavour and it comes out crisp and not too dry.
Really wonderful lunches, Jennifer. I'd like to rewind the years and have you pack my school lunches. I had sandwiches every day. To this day I dislike sandwiches. TFS!!
It's so nice to see a mom who cares enough about her children to make their lunches! These days, a lot of kids are sent to school with no home-made lunches and no money on their accounts to purchase a cafeteria meal, so they get stuck with a piece of bread and a slice of cold cheese for lunch. Pitiful parents! Big kudos for you...you are a great Mom!

Wonderful ideas for the kiddos! I love how you separate. So many kids don't like their foods to touch. As a 1st Grade teacher and mama, I appreciate the variety that you give your kids. There is something that each kid would like in their lunch even if they don't like everything. So you know they have food to keep them going. I have seen some pretty sad lunches sent with my students. I always have snack in my room, so I know they are not going to starve even if their lunch is inadequate. Thank you for sharing! ❤️ and hugs!

Omg you have saved my daughter’s pallet. I’m a busy on the go mom, I often have very little time to make lunch for my daughter. Most of the time it’s boring, She’s over her boring lunch. You’ve giving me so many ideas:). I’m excited , I can’t wait to see my daughter’s reaction.

Thanks for sharing! I use the thermo for daughter too. I have hard time getting her to eat a sandwich. She is a picky eater. I have sandwich container too. Never thought to put different items in it. Definitely will try that. Thanks again!

That’s awesome that you keep the scraps of bread and cheese when u use the cutters for your toddler. Toddlers are generally happy as long as they have some type of food

Love it my kids are one and two and twice a month I take them to public school and once a week its at home good ideas for lunch
Your lunches are an absolute inspiration. Not only are they great food choices but visually appealing as well. I'm curious, does anyone else have some reservations about using silicone liners, bakeware etc? They say it's food safe, but the whole idea of silicone makes me a bit nervous. I really need to step up my lunch game...thanks for sharing Family Fudge.

There are so many great ideas here. You make lunches that my now 20 year old would have loved. Poor baby! Hmmm maybe I need to make my own school lunches a little different. Yours are so cute and colourful. What did surprise me is how much your kids eat compared to mine. My kids are 17, 20 & 21, but they are like locusts. When they were small I would take them to the Dr if they didn't eat their food...but I know they're not like most kids in this department, so that was really interesting to me. Thanks for sharing!
