Thank you so much for sharing. My husband is Venezuelean and I find their dishes somewhat hard due to not finding some of the authentic ingredients. This looks delish and doable!!
Nice interpretation of Venezuelan pabellón, not authentic but looks tasty. A little tip, use ripe plantains instead and shred the beef up rather than chop it up. Never seen bacon used for the beans but I love it, definitely copying!
Thank you Maria. Believe it or not on day of filming unripe plantains were the only ones I could get...and I live in an area full of Afro Carribbean shops! The beans are to die for.....
my brain as i watch a british dude put meat that wasnt shredded, taken from a yummy stock that completely went to waste for this dish, into a pan before even rendering the onions and peppers: wait... why am i not just watching a venezuelan cook show me how to make it
Traditionally black beans are used, tbh any beans will do but if you are using baked beans with tomato sauce then that probably wouldn't be the same. The meat is so tasty tho
Drain when it’s ready? For rice. And what about the lid. We steam rice across the pond. Pet peeve of mine is anyone that lifts the lid during cooking time………looking at you S.O.

Venezuela is such a beautiful country
Yeah, that’s why they all try to flee from there.
Gracias por las caraotas.
Great recipe
Nice tutorial ,thanks for giving english subtitle for all other countries
Love variations on pulled or stewed meat
Haven't tried this recipe yet, looks worthwhile trying
An absolute banger! The bacony beans were the best part
They are my fave part too and worth making on their own

I Know!!! I literally couldn't cope watching it. When he stirred the bacon before it had chance to fry. Arghhh. Lovely guy though
What is the greenery that you put in this?
👍🌮
Do you have any other South American recipes
Have a look at my Arepa recipe.
Not heard of this before
What you did to handle
Ayo were not just gonna skip over that shewed on handle right?? right?????
what do you drink with this meal?
Mostly tea or coffee but a good red wine if you are of age would be good
@@brunchaf thank you so much. I've been invited to have lunch and had no idea what to take with me
@@mauriciouribe4031 I hope the lunch went well!
Going to try this recipe...
Can we use baked beans instead of black beans?

The stewed meat looks awesome. Not keen on the plantains tho
Tip: the sound of you pouring water into a pot should not peak out the high end of someone’s speakers or headphones.
Mix your sound better.
Again. . . What is the green stuff????"?????????????L?
Hello, Did you mean the oregano right at the start?
great food video on a cool dish - but please, clean your fingernails for those close-ups
