Before week 20, I am a sub patient, most exam and vitamin very cheap, can see the big discount from the bill. But for the igene test, feel not much subsidy, cost around 1k. At week 20, I started my first appointment with my choosen gyne, around 250, on the day sign up for package. The package starts from week 22, includes 8 doctor consultation and 2 scan at the fetal care centre. But because of some reason, I have to go for extra scan, so the extra scan is not included in the package, need to pay.
thought eveything medical related in singapore is so good, controled by government. some of above average income, indonesian people spent more on medical case in singapore. very nice info bro
@@JundaOng factually speaking if you had gone to NUH first the dr probably would suggest the same for induction for your 1st baby. And your 2nd baby go to private would still end up peaceful uneventful. That’s just because of the medical conditions of the 2 babies are different. I don’t think either doctors was wrong in their management
medical induction is actually very safe and seldom fail, unless the lady is already at high risk pregnancy category in which case LSCS is preferred. there are numbers of factors to consider and i don't think your private Gynae dr was wrong to suggest induction. You choose to delay at our own risk ended up in the end still went through LSCS,so what was the difference to you if you would had chosen LSCS from the start?
A difference of 3 weeks! idk how safe induction is, but it seems to fail quite often. The issue here is that my wife is low risk, and the results from doppler test also showed not a problem.
@@JundaOng medically speaking Low AFI is already a soft indication to induce once full term. Big baby as you said he grew to 3.9kg so it was not wrong to suggest to induce earlier. I guess your wife wouldn’t be young during first pregnancy. Gynae has a set of very complex guidelines to adhere to. Fetal stillbirth is always a risk and a catastrophic outcome every Gynae wants to avoid. Overall I don’t think your first Gynae was wrong in any way. Maybe you’re just not happy about some customer service aspects. Medically he’s “professional”
He is "not wrong" because the "rule book" is as such. That don't make him "right". He didn't even offer to explain or offer other options, and just ask to do induced labour that night. If that is part of "customer service", then ya im not happy. That is not serving my interest, and I would go as far to say that's unprofessional.
@@JundaOng induce or wait or LSCS,what other options are there? I’m sure if you choose to wait and result in unfortunate fetal stillbirth you’d probably blame him or even sue him right? So he’s right to suggest to you to go induction safest for all parties
@@JundaOng you’re not happy nor satisfied with his services but that’s not him being unprofessional. He followed medical guidelines just like every other Gynae so he’s professional. I know cos I’m a doctor myself just sharing with you that your unsatisfied experience is purely a cost effectiveness issue. Even if you had gone to NUH back then with the same setup the NUH dr would still have recommended you to go for induction or LSCS

medical is good, doctors are skilled, but private doc might still have their self interest

Good video!
So terrible that he used his medical expertise to push u to induce labour early. If u did not do yr medical research u r defenseless against him
Yea, always seek 2nd opinion, or google.
