Mercury Grand Marquis air suspension fix

The Mercury Grand Marquis developed lowrider syndrome when an awful noise began under the hood. After identifying the part making the sound, the air suspension compressor was removed and replaced. Follow along to see how we did it.

This was very helping. I’m planning to purchase a 2006 mercury grande marquis. The only issue it has is the air compressor.
Maybe I can buy the air compressor and pay someone to fix it as I don’t have tools to do So. It seems simple tho.
