The cobbles up to Cairngorm are the one and only time I’ve used “Turbo” in anger but bugger me did I need it. It’s a grand loop. We took the path left before the push up and headed out towards Mcdui…then cut back and joined the ridge down. A lot less pushing but not the same cliff top scenery. Keep it up fella. Love the vids
Nice to see this ,and then go and try ,ran out of legs trying to get up the first mountain but had a full week’s riding around Aviemore excellent place to get fit ,,,,,cheers for all your inspiration
That's one of my all time favourite descents. Skills imnprover - I'm a better rider at the bottom than I was at the top . After decades of only riding hardtail I've just been gifted (yesterday) a somewhat retro but pretty decent Intense full suss. I've had an illness that's kept me off physical activity for more than a year but now maybe turning a corner, fingers crossed. The first proper ride I've planned on the new bike is going to be that descent (probably on the way back from Ben Macdui). I've been thinking about it all year. I love this video. I've watched it several times over already. It's got my positive thoughts motivated, so thanks . Well done for riding off the summit of Cairngorm. So many loose boulders. The path around the back to Macdui is decently ridable. I've pushed/carried up to the col under Caingorm to the start of it a few times.
You’ve definitely got plenty of time to get into your groove on this descent 👍 Sorry to hear you’ve not been well mate, but hopefully you can fully enjoy your new bike properly very soon 🤘
Usually I watch your videos and am amazed at the fantastic scenery and inspired to book more Scottish riding trips Other times I watch your videos and think you’re completely nuts ! Riding boulder fields at 4am on your own in the middle of nowhere. Insane. Respect 🤙🏼

Wow man. Just awesome. I hiked Ben Macdui today and did the loop the way you biked. I am absolutely stunned on some of the places you take your bike. Thanks for the kind words man 😊 When I’m pushing up some of these sections, I don’t think I’ll be able to ride some part myself, but once you start heading down I end up being surprised at what I end up being able to do. Modern bikes have a lot to do with it to be fair.
