America's most scenic and historic steam train, the Durango to Silverton Narrow Gauge railroad was definitely one of the highlight experiences we've had all year! They also offer trips in the winter but under the name "Cascade Canyon!" We're now hooked on American railroad experiences and we'll be seeking them out every chance we get!

One time in the late 90s and early 2000's the D&SNG got an engine that was older than the entire line, it was owned by a man named Dan, he found the engine abandoned so he refurbished it and made it operate, right now the engine is in his shed.
First time I rode the train was back in 71 with my Grandparents. Have rode it many times since and plan on going September of 23. Ever wonder why the rocks on the edge of the river were gold looking ?

Fun video of a great experience. I first rode the D&SNGRR in August 1965 and returned to ride it again in June 2022.
We did this train at the middle of October and it was so AWESOME!!! Now I want to do it again. Love it, the best train ride.

Supper Cool Video! Here in Maine I drive on the Dirigo Road daily, and the Narrow Gage Railroad ran behind my home. The tracks have been long gone leaving a beautiful trail throughout Maine. Lots of snowmobiling, horseback riding, hiking to wherever your heart desires. Thanks for sharing.

I have ridden this train round trip 3 times. It is amazing every time. All the way from 15 to 55. Just so much fun.

NICE TRAIN RIDE,, DID SHE JUST PASS GAS HAHAHA OR SOUND EFFECT YOU GUYS CRACK ME.UP THATS SUCH A NEET TRAIN TO .RIDE THEM CANYON SHOTS ARE MEMORABUL HOW MUCH WAS THAT RIDE ,, HOW LONG DID IT TAKE TO DO IT.. THE WATER FALLS ARE QUITE A SIGHT.. Durango to Silverton very nice and ty for showing us that place..PS FLY LOW AND AVOID THE RADAR.🛬📡

Can you imagine getting engaged on that train at the Needleton water tower. I thought it was pretty cool. We spent the night in Silverton at one of the hotels. The hotel bar had a bottle of cold duck for us to celabrate. We were a little underwhelmed,
You should take on the Combres and Toltec train in the autumn for the leaves. Probably late September.

Just got back from Durango tonight first time there, I wish you would have put your video out earlier. The train to Silverton was not operating since they closed down for 3 weeks prior to November 18th when they start up again so we missed the train ride but it was okay we went and did a bunch of other things nearby will definitely go back to ride that train to Silverton since we drove up to have drinks on this trip....great video!
Bummer, just another reason to go back!! Lots to do around there but the train was definitely the highlight! Became an instant fan of train rides! 🤘🏽

Awesome guys thanks to many of your videos my wife and I are doing Texas then Nashville and finishing with flying to Denver with a drive through Casper to family in Billing’s and then West Yellowstone for the park followed by a drive to Salt Lake City the back to LA to get the flight back to Brisbane

16 years ago my wife and I spent our honeymoon in Ouray and Silverton. I’ll say it again, these are some of the best places on Earth. Thank you for highlighting Colorado, you guys are awesome!
