Do you think the guy who played that royalty free piano song expected that it would be played over the entirety of an Australian guy downloading Shrek in real time onto an iPod nano. I don’t think so
My wife’s parents offered me a box of old tech stuff at their house recently. There was a purple 4g nano sealed in the box in the collection of cables and junk. Thanks for doing an unboxing so I’m slightly less tempted to open mine. I got a big ol nugget bag too but it’s all iPods. I was the tech guy in high school in the early 2010s. For some reason people kept giving me their old iPods when they were worthless since the iPhone was the new hotness. Love digging through the bag from time to time.
I still feel like the 4G Nano is the best Ipod they ever made. It has so much charm, a design that stands out, feels good in hand, and just... yeah I love it
I had a dark grey 8gig, which was my first "real" iPod after the Shuffle. That shit was in use CONSTANTLY in high school. I associate that iPod with the development of my music taste along with my Demonoid account.

5th Gen is peak Nano. It was the last of the click wheel iPods, with a larger (taller) display than the 4th Gen, with a camera, microphone, and a speaker built in. In the exact same dimensions as the 4th Gen.
My first iPod was a blue nano in 2008. I was 11 years old, and so excited to finally have one, and it lasted me for well over a decade, being used daily. I took videos, had tv shows on it, and about 400 songs on it. I would go on walks and bike rides every night just to listen to music off it. It was a huge part of my childhood, teenage years, and early adulthood. Eventually the screen just became very messed up (probably form the battery expansion), but it was still usable. The death knell of it was my mother in law accidentally knocking it into a cup of tea. It still worked, but it took an insane amount of convincing to turn on or charge, and so I retired it after I decided it wasn't worth using anymore. Lots of good memories, though. Makes me wish I still had a dedicated music player.
I still have my blue Nano Ipod and just watching you deal with the Shrek file brings back memories from when I used to update my music library. It was a hassle but I used to have so much fun when my music was already available. Too bad that this specific model can't be properly repaired without risks.
went from a second gen shuffle to a black fourth gen nano, absolutely loved both of those things. the nano had a whole second life with my brother, survived for years even as it was literally falling apart. the shuffle is still kicking too, occasionally pull it out of the drawer, charge it up, and just let it play. wish companies still made things to last!
Ahh, I remember having this one. I got it used so I never saw the packaging. I loved it when I used it, until I got my samsung s8+. I remember looooving the built in games. No idea what happened to it. Likely took it to the thrift store
I had this exact same model back then, I loved it. The clickwheel is amazing. Too bad I dropped it once and and the screen cracked. To be fair I was letting it hang from the headphones cord, thing was so light, the jack could hold it up
5th gen is my fav hands down only because it's the exact same as this but with a slightly bigger screen and it even had the lil dingus camera that can compete with even the s23 ultra
In 2008 i had a Coby portable DVD player that was the size of a portable CD player and had a small 3 or something inch screen on the lid. I carried with me a 6 disc folio thing. I only had 5 DVD-RW's, but 4 of them were music (the device would read MP3's off a disc, each disc held around 4GB), the last was usually a movie or 2 I'd rip off a DVD we had and compress it to f$ if it/they wouldn't fit on the disc 😂
Ayyyye.. I got a blue one of these from my step mom. It lived in her car for like 5yrs.. she then sold me the car after it was parked another 5yrs. Batt is cooooked and has started the black spot.. I'm gonna try to rescue it.. we'll see how goes!😅
I have one of these, except mine is orange and 8g. I have all of the Harry Potter Audiobooks on it, and it doesn't hold charge at all. I bought at bluetooth adapter thingy so i was stuck to wherever it was plugged in.
I miss my nano 4th Gen. A teacher took it from me and then after a week of not giving it back, some kid stole it from the teacher. I beat Sonic the Hedgehog for click wheel on that, no-hit.
I just got a sealed ipod nano 5th gen 8 gb. what do you think the odds the battery expands when i open it and plug it in? not looking to devalue it if theres a low chance it survives the first charge. any advice would help!
personally i love overengineered things it makes you feel like the company gives a shit about their customers rather than some bland flat box with no charging brick nor anything that should be included
Hey DP I need your help mate I just got an iPod 7th gen which is great what isn't great is I can't get any music onto it through iTunes I'm not experienced at all with iPods so I thought I would ask the man himself for some help I'm on pc btw thanks
Now I have like 200 dank pods vids to watch.
177*
Fr im so overwhelmed
same. I thought he'd space them out. But nope. Binge it is.
That’s what it was like when I started in the Patreon😂
Same dude this is gonna take a while to watch them all
Do you think the guy who played that royalty free piano song expected that it would be played over the entirety of an Australian guy downloading Shrek in real time onto an iPod nano. I don’t think so
I would expect that everyday
Oh I love “Devalue Your Collectables Instantly”! It’s my favourite show!
nothing more collectable than a perfectly mint sealed iPod nano with a dead battery since it hasn’t been turned on in 15 years
@@TinkerToneworks schrodinger's ipod: the battery is simultaneously mint and dead until you devalue the collectible by opening it
Thank you for making these all free. I never expected you would. I wish I i could have been able to support besides watching.

I hear watch Wade say “na-no” a thousand times and I will still laugh 😆
I only clicked on this vid to hear you say Na-No
Man of culture
I still feel like the 4G Nano is the best Ipod they ever made. It has so much charm, a design that stands out, feels good in hand, and just... yeah I love it
I loved the little square touchscreen one - it was so tiny and convenient to use.
Yeah, if the battery didnt explode and ruin the screen they wouldve been almost perfect.
I had a dark grey 8gig, which was my first "real" iPod after the Shuffle. That shit was in use CONSTANTLY in high school. I associate that iPod with the development of my music taste along with my Demonoid account.

starting off the new year with a na-no
This is the nano i have the most nostalgia for. It's what comes to mind when i think "na-no"
This was literally my first music device. Inherited from my grandad when he upgraded to an iphone. This video brings back so many happy memories.
Ah yes the classic mouse cursor on the loading bar to make sure its moving

I absolutely loved my 4g nano, was a blast back in the day
Ahh, I remember having this one. I got it used so I never saw the packaging. I loved it when I used it, until I got my samsung s8+. I remember looooving the built in games. No idea what happened to it. Likely took it to the thrift store
The ant thief killed me. 😂 🐜
I actually bought one of these because I wanna get back into mp3s and having more ownership over my music. Tired of Spotify yoinking tracks at will
I had this exact same model back then, I loved it. The clickwheel is amazing. Too bad I dropped it once and and the screen cracked. To be fair I was letting it hang from the headphones cord, thing was so light, the jack could hold it up
I actually remembering having one of those during my school days. It even had a camera on the back. Those were the days!
love the jazz break, its so chill
"im Mork from Ork" Na-no Na-no
For a second I thought 4g was referring to cell service and I was questioning everything I know
Happy new year dank ;)
the spot of death is inevitable
The moment we're all here for is at 2:36.
You're welcome.
5th gen is my fav hands down only because it's the exact same as this but with a slightly bigger screen and it even had the lil dingus camera that can compete with even the s23 ultra
My buddy had one and it had an FM tuner! I was actually jealous about that!

I start every day with a 4G na-no
I wish high quality line in cables didn’t have to have chunky plastic surrounds for the illusion of quality.
Dude, how many vids did Wade drop this week? My man’s been prolific, good stuff man.
1:53 Don’t ask questions, just consume product.
Man those USB 2.0 transfer speeds were nostalgic.
Ah yes my favorite device
*N A N O*
Happy new year also na-no
A happy _na no_ to you all
ⁿª ⁿ⁰
That random ant was the star of the show
It's Feb 20-something and I'm just getting notified about After Show series that goes back to December or whatever.
Drum museum is cool....but he needs to do an ipod museum including all the Frankenstein ones
I have one of these, except mine is orange and 8g. I have all of the Harry Potter Audiobooks on it, and it doesn't hold charge at all. I bought at bluetooth adapter thingy so i was stuck to wherever it was plugged in.
I have an orange one. Battery drains pretty quick, but it does hold charge while backlight isn't on.
I hate earbuds/earphones, so I bought the $10 Lightning to Headphone jack cable so I could plug my audio technicas into my iphone 13 :P
Does the operating system take part of the flash storage or is it in a separate unit like on classic?
The ants trying to take your batteries
I WISH I HAD ONE OF THESE!!! I WANT AN 8GB PRODUCT RED!
REAL
Nanos are stupid
This one bend-gated on young me, before bend-gate was a thing.
Ironically i would probably pay more for a dankpods iPod than a brand new one
Was waiting for that *na no*
"My brand new na-no!"
This was my first iPod ever, but it was the black 16gb, first apple product ever.
4:00 that was at least in 2010 then; back when they made the iPod nano into a watch
It is a crime he didn't say na-no
He did
2:36
*iPod nano appears*
Dank pods: na-no
This exact nano was the second iPod I ever had
I have the 5th gen nano. It’s basically the same thing but slightly better. Just a taller screen and a camera.
I was a non tech savvy kid. I first saw my aunt's ipod 4g, I had the impression that it was a toy or knock off 😂
BRING BACK THE HEADPHONE JACK
Missed opportunity to use the word Shrequisition
bother you need smaller gloves, I cant stand seeing people using wrong sized gloves. I wear them all day
I had a Nano 5G, I thought it was fantastic for watching video!
5:16 i played this on my nano when i was waiting to go home at school lol
This was the iPod I'd wanted but I didn't have enough Christmas Walmart gift cards for it so I got the button less shuffle.
I hope he disassembles this before it gets the spot, no saving it then
My fav iPod nano has to be 5th gen cause it’s just 4th gen but with a slightly bigger screen and a video camera
I miss my nano 4th Gen. A teacher took it from me and then after a week of not giving it back, some kid stole it from the teacher.
I beat Sonic the Hedgehog for click wheel on that, no-hit.
Someone needs to make comments so we know when all of these videos were originally made
I still have my 4G nano from highschool
HE SAID THE THING
na-no
ⁿᵃ⁻ⁿᵒ
You should take a look at the iPod Nano 6th generation
I’m going to attempt to fix one of these things soon. NIGHTMARE.
I remember when I got a cheap 3rd party iPod charger and it was BETTER than apple's official ones
I just got a sealed ipod nano 5th gen 8 gb. what do you think the odds the battery expands when i open it and plug it in? not looking to devalue it if theres a low chance it survives the first charge. any advice would help!
Airpods run out of battery and you buy a new 😅😂
3:38 Shrekuisition
personally i love overengineered things it makes you feel like the company gives a shit about their customers rather than some bland flat box with no charging brick nor anything that should be included
I loved my nano
4:00 still faster then booting GTA V
I tried putting a movie on my ipod 7th gen but just wouldn't do it. how did you manage it?
40 bones for a new in box iPod!!!! I’m truly jelly as I scour eBay for a deal.
I had that one. It was excellent.
I had gotten a Nano 4G at some point last year and the battery expanded after just 1 charge, truly unfortunate
was that the tune from super mario land?
thanks man
since you use video and audio files from youtube on your ipods, can you show us how to since I can't figure out how to get itunes to let me:(
I bet they removed the locking cable due to people constantly tearing them out without unlocking it
i miss mine. exact same color, but a generation later. battery started expanding and took the screen out. then i lost it in a move.
01:18 my brand new nugg... hahaha😂
Nah-noh 👌
Hey DP I need your help mate I just got an iPod 7th gen which is great what isn't great is I can't get any music onto it through iTunes I'm not experienced at all with iPods so I thought I would ask the man himself for some help I'm on pc btw thanks
