I have been waiting so long for a review of the xc30. Can't wait to see it. Already the interior looks better in my opinion than what I saw in the very first cars with that dotted, cheap looking, panels in the doors and dashboard. This feels more homey. When can we expect to see the full review on main channel?
Having a “mode” like this isn’t great. You keep forgetting what mode you’re in and not safe to look down at the button to check while driving. Just use four buttons…
These window switches are rubbish! VW put them on their ID range at launch and got berated for it, then they changed back to four switches. Come on Volvo!!
Volvo wanted to save wiring around the outside of the car, so they're in the middle. Having 4 buttons as opposed to 3 doesn't make much difference, but why wouldnt you just turn the air con on?
That is a very bad user experience. Whenever you need to click several times to reach a trivial highly needed functionality is a bad experience and will lead to driver distraction.
Honestly, i think it's actually good that the controls are in the center and not on doors At part you could easily say: cheaper to manufacture but because of this you also could say: also cheaper/easier to repair! sadly its not helping the overall car image :\
This is just stupid, yeah it stops that up down up down shit bored people do in the back, also what is the likely hood of this been a canbus system? So when your car decides its a terminator randomly I don't want my windows opening like someone from a rave, and all canbus systems do this when 1 thing goes wrong your car starts to hate you
In the middle is fine but I would prefer four switches instead of two and a "mode selector".

Expected the next month, stay tuned!

Good point
or you open the window blind, realize it is opening the wrong one, close, change mode, open the correct one
With the ID cars people complained about it a lot. I bet you nobody will complain about it in this car, because it is a Volvo
Amazing Car
Definitely useful. Less buttons.

I bet Volvo will get a free pass because it is not a VW.
Do you think Volvo drivers are less fussy? Or will Volvo just ignore its customers?
Volvo owners aren't quite as lacking in intelligence, so things like this are something they can easily adapt to.
Its not about being clever, its about keeping your eyes on the road
@@xyredmax You get used to it and never look at it again while driving. Muscle memory just takes over.
🔥
Dont need to use rear windows, just turn on the AC
He can’t because the AC is hidden behind a million menus 😂
I agree that there is no need put windows down. Hence the car manufacturer shall never give functionality to open those windows. Great logic 🤣

both
Fixing what’s not broken
Making it cheaper to the end customer.
@@miroslavspacek5737 loosing money because a huge % of costumers will choose another car to buy because of lack of basic things inside of it
@@oswaldlemman7874 Dont think so, its very succesful.
Its Cost saving. Vovlo for 35k and its good too

If you drove a Fiat 500 this is normal and some other cars have the same system.
Recycled Volvo interior upholstery I believe. Did you manage to convince them to make a matching jacket for you?
Design before function?
function being less cables going to your doors
This is the result of trying to minimize the cost just like the turning signal in tesla
Wow, that saves one hole button!!!
saves a whole bunch of cables running to your door and some space
Too complicated. Practicality has given way for impractical design nonsense. And yes, I drive a Volvo
Much cheaper and safer to put electronic switches in the center, it's the Swedish way. Saab did it for many years.
Me gusta , se sale delo habitual 😊
You Haver a really nice car. Is it a VOLVO EX30?
Prize
Rear passenger cant open rear windows? Do they have seperate button in rear?
they do (they are also in the center near the climate control)
Its double acoustic glass ????
Same feature like in a Porsche 996
BMW e46
Dont like that
I can put all 4 windows down at the same time in my 2015.Sienna. This approach is stupid and only omits one button! Too cute for its own good..

why can you be so attractive ?
worst trend ever
someone could make a lot of money making an aftermarket 4-switch control instead of this bs
What a cheap-looking car 🤦♂️
