Your evaluation was terrific. Ive been deciding whether to buy one, but now that i have seen one on someone and seen how well it conforms to your face is fantastic. Now you next mission is to show us a complete costume
Check them out on their website listed in the description of the video - or just google Composite Effects. They can get pretty pricey but when you see the cost of the actual materials, the detail and care they take with each mask, and time it takes to make each one, it's worth it. The gargoyle color (version 2) was ~$540 shipped and the desert/Naga color (version 3) is around ~$600 shipped. That varies depending on where you live, of course.
My head is pretty average... but it really just depends. You could always shoot an email to CFX and give them measurements of your head to gauge how it will fit. You can also throw a beanie on under the mask (very common) to make the fit a bit more snug if needed.
+Jordan Nunn thanks Jordan! Immortal makes some amazing masks. I'm looking to start reviewing more Silicone masks soon - so if you have any suggestions on what you'd like to see, drop me a line!
+Spooky Sans thanks ! They are super pricey, but so worth it in my opinion. I'm looking at possibly starting up reviews on silicone masks soon - keep an eye out!
Thanx for the vid, it really helps to see them in action, totally agree with second one looking better with movement, eye holes alot better conforming to your eyes where as first ones were so big it just looked like your wearing a mask
Hey Daniel! Breathing wasn't an issue at all for me - though you will feel air inside the mask by your nose/mouth depending on how the nose holes line up with your own. The longest I've worn one of these silicone masks was ~3 hours (neither of the masks, but it was a CFX). You will definitely sweat in these masks. As weird as it sounds, the sweat sort of causes the masks to mold better to your face. I haven't worn either of the masks in these videos long enough for that to have happened.
It really depends on how well the mask fits your head (really only issue if loose, there are tricks if it is), how well the trimming was done on the lip area (some people ask for them to not be trimmed and trim the mouth/eyes themselves), and how you seat the mask. In this video, I didn't really take too much time seating the first mask properly. After you've worn it for a short period, it becomes much more 'molded' to your face. I will say the new sculpts fit much better for talking, IMHO.
Well, I don't have any old Pervis or MeatBag masks to compare them to... but I was thinking about continuing these reviews of silicone masks and other Halloween products. I'm currently eyeballing that new Gein Hood from CFX. :)
Thank you dude for making the Movement review!!! There are barely any videos online showing these being used! This video sold me and I pulled the trigger on this mask but in the Arctic Blue similar colored horns. Do you cosplay?
They are pretty pricey... but once you start looking at actual cost of materials, the talent involved in sculpting/painting these things, and how much work is actually put into the process of making them the price is relatively reasonable. I had no idea silicone was so expensive until I started looking into it.
Daniel is right. The URL is also in the 'about' section of this video. Sorry Paulo, didn't see your message previously. CFX is all about customer service and should be able to sort out shipping for you if you ordered one. :)
Wow your review is amazing. What I really like about this review is 1- your not using some corny scare voice, your just talking nornmal which helps to actually watch the whole review as oppose to other reviews who just cant help but add their "scary voice" wich distracts from the review lol And two- the comparison of both masks shows the amazing improvement of the companys quality. Im ordering a "scratch the goblin" mask in the granite texture and color of the granite belial mask with near black deep shadowing around the eyes and ears. cant wait :)
+BboyKidPeace haha, I hear you on those points - thanks for the comment. :) I'm likely going to grab a new mask to review and will possibly get in a cycle of buying -> reviewing -> selling or keeping to collect... so keep your eyes peeled for a new vid. Any suggestions on new masks to review?
Hey Brian, I don't have any measurements handy - but I can tell you my head is kind of big. I'd recommend reaching out to CFX via their website or their Facebook - they are super responsive and can tell you exactly if your head size would be ok or if it might be a problem!
I will definitely work on that. The costume I had previously didn't really do the mask justice... was basically a Dracula-like vest/cape combo with black gloves. It looked pretty menacing, but I had other things in mind when I picked up the mask.
I noticed the eyes were a bit more closed on the New one than the old not much of the area around your eyes were showing unlike the older version where you wore it.
That's what I wanna see from a company, constant improvements...very awesome mask, I considered this one but black with red bone, or the viper reptile red with black snake pattern, both will take sometime to accumulate the cash lol but all in good time...thanks for the detailed review.
Alfredo Tirado you're welcome! I can't say it enough, CFX is a stand up company. The constant improvements to their product line is exceptional - and so is their customer support. =]
Hey BlackSpittingCobra - I've never dealt with Immortal Masks personally, but I'd say Immortal Masks is focused on more "out there" mask designs, if that makes sense. You'll find more realistic looking/moving masks at CFX, more crazy exaggerated masks from Immortal Masks. Again, that's not a dig on Immortal Masks or on CFX - just what I've noticed. I may scoop up one of their masks soon so I can do a compare/contrast of the quality I've seen with CFX.
Zachary Deptawa Also if I may ask. Are these masks very hot, I know it may be a dumb question but I work a local haunt every October and I want to maybe save up for a CFX mask and I hope its not like sticking your head in a microwave as I've been through that with other masks?
hey man I want to ask your opinion. I'm about to order my first mask and its going to be a belial because your video made it look so awesome. My question is how do you think the mask would work with steampunk metal colors. Its hard for me to really picture without seeing the mask's true form in person
tom don sorry for the late reply Tom! I think that would look awesome - though this is more of a demon/dragon kind of thing... but I think if you gave CFX what you were looking to do, they'd make the mask look wicked great.
Hey Blake - I haven't, but I was thinking about snagging another one soon to review. I was going to get into reviewing them regularly, but it can become costly.
RandomSketchesFearMe the Horseman of Death mask is crazy awesome. Green reptile is awesome too. My next will likely be the Gein Hood being I'm a front man for a local band and I need something insane looking that I can still sing with for our Halloween shows. :D
This is an older video but I'm hoping to find an answer to this question. Is the material breathable in the sense that wearing the mask for an extended amount of time you won't be sweating like a pig? For example, I've worn cheap rubber masks and wearing those so snug on your skin you REALLY start sweating inside the mask.
+Jeremy Bitton this is a silicone mask - so you will sweat in it after a short time (completely normal). It actually helps the mask stick and move with you. Not really uncomfortable, hard to explain until you've worn one yourself. :)
One question very important I have an abnormally large nose one like that of Christopher multisanti on sopranos will the nose on the mask rip from my large nose stretching it?
The silicone is super stretchy and durable - I honestly don't think you'll have any issues with ripping at the nose area due to a large nose. Might be best to ask CFX directly, though. =]
Indeed. Whenever I see these masks (which are awesome), they are always on guys wearing cheap robes and gloves (boring) or normal clothes (weak). Without a serious production budget, you waste the cash if all you have is a mask. To look like anything more than a guy in a mask one needs to have a corresponding full body prosthetics with the proper muscle build, wings, claws, armor, leather, or whatever.
furtim1 it's definitely hard to match something up with a mask like this without breaking the bank (or looking cheap). I've looked into dragon armor (google for 'dragon armor leather' to get an idea of what I'm talking about) to wear around the TX Renaissance Festival, but the hand made quality stuff is super pricey. Being a mask like this isn't realistic/human at all, you really have to cover your legs and arms to pull it off well.
Scott H you could definitely pull off something like a robe or cloak... but the hardest part in my opinion about a mask like this is that you really have to cover up your legs/arms to make the look. I think dragon armor would look awesome with these masks (google 'dragon armor leather' to get an idea of what I'm talking about), but it's not cheap.
furtim1 Personally I imagined myself using a red one on a yamaha virago, with maybe a leather jacket, my favorite pants(no idea how to describe them tbh), gloves and nice boots.
Hi, thanks for your review, I have some questions for you if you don't mind. What about breathing... how long it took you to be familiar with the mask for a comfy breathing? What it's been the longest time you have used it continuously? Do you think you will sweat a lot on a bar? Or it keeps you some how "fresh" inside the mask?. Best regards fron San Diego, CA.
omg, those masks are super awesome.. unfortunately the price for a brand new one is insane, any idea if its possible to get used ones for like half the price somewhere?
I think Composite Effects used to refurb and sell used masks, but I honestly am not sure. You can always check eBay or other silicone mask groups on Facebook - people are usually offering gently used masks at a bargain.
They are really expensive, unfortunately... but a ton of work goes into each mask - not to mention the cost of the silicone rubber (it's silly expensive).
Hey there - I don't make these masks, compositeeffects.com does. The masks generally cost $500+ depending on what mask it is and what changes are made. If you're seeing them for $30 somewhere, it's definitely a scam.
Do you think these masks obscure your speech a lot? I was watching a video of a woman wearing one of the female masks, and her speech sounded terrible. Like she was speaking with a mouthful of cotton. The mask mouth was barely moving at all too. Kind of a bummer.
There were some verification steps I took a little while back... if I recall correctly, there should be a 'verify' button in the control panel next to your username somewhere.
Did you know the name Belial in Hebrew means Worthless. The Mask looks Kickass worth every Dollar. I wish they could of name that mask a different name tho. I will be getting that mask soon.
Your evaluation was terrific. Ive been deciding whether to buy one, but now that i have seen one on someone and seen how well it conforms to your face is fantastic.
Now you next mission is to show us a complete costume
They can get pretty warm after wearing for long periods. You do sweat in them after wearing them for a little bit.
Check them out on their website listed in the description of the video - or just google Composite Effects. They can get pretty pricey but when you see the cost of the actual materials, the detail and care they take with each mask, and time it takes to make each one, it's worth it. Great review man , good to have people out there that make these vids. Have a few from immortal but looking into a cfx. Probably go with belial.
+Jordan Nunn thanks Jordan! Immortal makes some amazing masks. I'm looking to start reviewing more Silicone masks soon - so if you have any suggestions on what you'd like to see, drop me a line!
That mask is AMAZING! If only I had enough to buy one.. Good review! You earned another subscriber!
+Spooky Sans thanks ! They are super pricey, but so worth it in my opinion. I'm looking at possibly starting up reviews on silicone masks soon - keep an eye out!
I got one for only for 25 pounds
Thanx for the vid, it really helps to see them in action, totally agree with second one looking better with movement, eye holes alot better conforming to your eyes where as first ones were so big it just looked like your wearing a mask
PIERCED6966 you're welcome! Yeah, the improvements in this mask are great. =]
You are welcome! Are you going to buy and making another review like this with the new Pervis and MeatBag?
Excellent review bro. ive got a v2 and was curious about the differences between versions. Thanks!
Travis Wartooth you're welcome. :D

Nice review, I like how you compared and put both of them on, nice!
The 2012 sculpt is $570 plus shipping/taxes where applicable. You can check it out in more detail on CFX's website.
Thanks! The 2012 sculpt is pretty freaking awesome. The detail is insane.
Daniel is right. The URL is also in the 'about' section of this video. Sorry Paulo, didn't see your message previously. CFX is all about customer service and should be able to sort out shipping for you if you ordered one. :)
I may... still not sure if I want to yet. If I do sell it I'd be using the funds to buy new masks to review. :)
Wow your review is amazing. Thinking about buying a similar mask but I’m not sure how well it will fit my 24” head and 16.25” neck. What are your measurements?
Hey Brian, I don't have any measurements handy - but I can tell you my head is kind of big. I'd recommend reaching out to CFX via their website or their Facebook - they are super responsive and can tell you exactly if your head size would be ok or if it might be a problem!

Great review. Awesome looking mask
CHADEO1 thanks! :D
@@zdeptawa 🔪😵
Well let me know, 'cause unfortunately I cannot afford a new one and I know this will be a nice gift for my son.
Thanks for your reviews.
Both are impressive, but that 2012 one is quite wonderful.
bonzohart I definitely agree. Glad I've got one of the older styles though now that they're no longer available.
Thanks! CFX knocked it out of the park as usual. :)
I noticed the eyes were a bit more closed on the New one than the old not much of the area around your eyes were showing unlike the older version where you wore it.
Cool! Thanks for the very detailed review of masks!
Where can I buy this kind of mask? I'm from Central America.
Zachary Deptawa Which company is overall better in your book. CFX or Immortal Masks
Hey BlackSpittingCobra - I've never dealt with Immortal Masks personally, but I'd say Immortal Masks is focused on more "out there" mask designs, if that makes sense. Due to the easy on/off you show here 3 hours will be amazing. Well, hope I can afford it by Christmas so I can give it as present to my son.
Thanks so much for your great detailed review! ^_^
Hey bud, have you picked up any other masks since these ones? I really enjoy your comparison/review compared to much of the other vids on UA-cam.
Hey Blake - I haven't, but I was thinking about snagging another one soon to review. I was going to get into reviewing them regularly, but it can become costly.
No worries friend, they are quite spendy. Cool music covers too btw.
Appreciate it !
Pretty cool mask! I have the Horseman of Death mask and it's epic, hopefully going to get the green reptile next :]
RandomSketchesFearMe the Horseman of Death mask is crazy awesome. Green reptile is awesome too. My next will likely be the Gein Hood being I'm a front man for a local band and I need something insane looking that I can still sing with for our Halloween shows. :D
Well i bought this mask in the desert color bc of this video. I almost did metal colors but was to afraid to see how it would work
tom don sorry again for the late reply - how do you like your Belial?
I have a full beard as long as your goatee 🧔🏻 do you think I could still wear the mask? Or would it be too tight/uncomfortable? Great review!
On the magazine is it possible there might be a cheaper price?????

Do you think you will sweat a lot on a bar? Or it keeps you some how "fresh" inside the mask?.

They're so low cost it's crazy how good they look. Until you see video you almost dont believe that you'll get that quality
Just bought mine. Sand color like what you have. Hopefully it comes in before Halloween :)
omg, those masks are super awesome.. unfortunately the price for a brand new one is insane, any idea if its possible to get used ones for like half the price somewhere?
I think Composite Effects used to refurb and sell used masks, but I honestly am not sure. You can always check eBay or other silicone mask groups on Facebook - people are usually offering gently used masks at a bargain.
This video is so cool can you make a review video of another mask from composite effects.
+Brittany Brown working on it ! :)
Sick mask how much are those awesome
Very nice mask! This is much better than the old one two Belial, I love it, is very creepy!
R U going to sell the old version? I'm interested if yes. :)
Were did you get those
um gee he mentions it in the video. he wrote it in the summary..
Arian Jonah Asistin sorry for the absurdly late response - compositeeffects.com.
They are really expensive, unfortunately... but a ton of work goes into each mask - not to mention the cost of the silicone rubber (it's silly expensive).
Always watching Videos of CFX Masks, just awesome... Would love to have this store in Germany xD!
You remind me of Starlord by the Way :D
+larimaus CFX is awesome - and I've been told I do resemble Chris Pratt. Thanks for the comment ! :D
:D yes it seems to be... Its to expensive for me at the Moment, but i would love to have the horseman of war. How many Silikone Masks do you have?
How would u say these masks fit people with skinny smaller heads?
do they get really hot in them and full of sweat? could you wear them for a long period of time? i need one
what size is your head?
thats a really cool mask i might get the belial maybe same color as 2012
Sorry - I'm not selling either of them at this time. Thanks!
I ordered 4 masks 4 weeks ago and still haven’t even had my order processed. What’s the deal?
You might want to ask Composite Effects (or whoever you ordered them from). I don't work for any mask companies.
Those masks are amazing!
What kind of latex is used to move mouth somebody please tell me?
Hi, is it nice to wear?
This great your mask, the new version is amazing
I'm having trouble with the lips on mine but I love it
Great video thanks a lot.
Ok ...question you have a mask, white walker mask on you Instagram cost a grand but tik Tom advertisement price is $29.99 why is that cuz I want one
Hey there - I don't make these masks, compositeeffects.com does. The masks generally cost $500+ depending on what mask it is and what changes are made. If you're seeing them for $30 somewhere, it's definitely a scam.
Oh, I'm sure the work into it is legit. It is kind of silly expensive but if I can have it last for years and years, I shall invest in one sometime.
They are really awesome. Living art, I say.
The price is too much.... Pls let me know if it's worth or not to buy just a mask!
I think it's worth the price - but of course, that's completely subjective.
Great choice! Hope you get it in by Halloween. :)
how much do you whant for #3
Think I'll order one.
You're welcome!
Gorgeous mask
+Victor S thanks !
compositeffects of course add the dot and the com
Do you think these masks obscure your speech a lot? I was watching a video of a woman wearing one of the female masks, and her speech sounded terrible. Like she was speaking with a mouthful of cotton. The mask mouth was barely moving at all too. Kind of a bummer.
have you ever thought about selling your mask
tom don I have - but if I did, I'd likely sell it locally.
this is awesome :)
Schnaider nineseveneight thanks! :)
U selling the mask yet?
Nunya Biz I’ve sold both of the masks in this video already.
Creepy ! I have to choose a mask for my next scary prank. Something terrifying :D
+Dirty Gang do it! :)
I hate dreaming about cool stuff like this
Thanks!
How are you verified with only 208 subscribers?
There were some verification steps I took a little while back... if I recall correctly, there should be a 'verify' button in the control panel next to your username somewhere.
Haha, nice! I can see the resemblance.
Yeah, definitely a tighter sculpt on the 2012 version.
You are so handsome I wanna cry ❤️
😋
Did you know the name Belial in Hebrew means Worthless. The Mask looks Kickass worth every Dollar. I wish they could of name that mask a different name tho. I will be getting that mask soon.
I'm sorry - I'm not sure what you're asking?
I wish these weren't so damn expensive :(
Well, I wish I had the kind of money to get one of these because they are worth it.
I want both masks they look so cool please send me those masks.
+Brittany Brown :)
lol they look amazing though man good buy.
Thanks !
Why are you concerned about what I spend my money on?
Ok thanks man
Are you selling any of your mask? Pm me
Very good choice. :)
Yes. Yes I am. =]
If anyone has any masks like this for sale for a pretty cheap price I'm interested
wow
I'm not currently selling it, sorry.
any way I can get one for free man?
+Joshua Scoggan I have no idea - I don't make them. You'd have to contact Composite Effects.
+Joshua Scoggan oh - and if you're referring to one of mine... no. :)
