The only thing that keeps me away from buying the cards is the price. 15 to 20 dollars for these washed up secret rares feels shitty.
At least it's $15-20 for a Secret instead of $15-20 for a _Super_ like the Tenpai sheep are paying. 🐉
@@autobotstarscream765 the thing is, you just need 3 Paidra and you're done, you get a meta deck.
Ragnaraika has two cards that are Secret bouncing between 15 and 20 bucks, and both can be played at different ratios so you might want a playset of each. And the payoff is basically a really mid engine that you can fit in some archetypes .
@JNitroxx There's always the budget build: run 0 of both and just carry the top end with Traptrix, you'll get the same result anyway! 😂
@@autobotstarscream765 yeah, pure Traptrix feels stronger anyways and is ultra budget. I tried the engine because I love the design and I'm a sucker for plants, insects and reptiles (specially Ogdoadic).
Specifically in Traptrix it makes the deck more combo heavy and susceptible to Nib and other handtraps, and overall I enjoy more the control aspect of the archetype, so I guess I'll wait until they are more affordable.
Ragna Ogdo is cool AF
Raika ogdoadic rikka is kinda decent aswell. Gives nib protection, serpentine can summon lonefire for the raika plant, then beetle summons lonefire again to get to the rikka line
Hmmmm explain pls
@@GreaterGewd Nauya and Nunu are 1.5 card combos(Nauya needs any monster to normal then tribute, nunu needs any card, makes king of the feral imps then does the nauya line):
Nauya send Keurse, Keurse tribute a monster summon Nauya, add dawn, dawn tribute Keurse summon 4, make 2 skeletal soldier into jasmine and tribute the remaining monster, summon lonefire, lonefire for evil seed, banish samurai beetle and add bloom, bloom summon beetle, jasmine and beetle into mantis monk, beetle summon lonefire, mantis banish whatever to add hunting dance, lonefire summon mudan, mudan add glamour, glamour tribute mudan add and summon primula and princess, make strenna, detach princess and add back whatever, evil seed into dryas, skeletal return dryas to extra to summon, skeletal summon evil seed and make dryas again, dryas and mantis monk into the sunavalon link 4 and add sunavalon bloom, mantis return skeletal to the extra for follow up and to summon itself, dawn gy effect shuffle nauya to send and summon night sword serpent, it and mantis monk for chain coils
So you end with:
-Sunavalon bloom for non target monster negation
-Hunting dance for pop 2
-The sunavalon link 4 for bloom and as a board wipe turn 3
-Chain coils to stop monster effects from the hand
-Rikka strenna-princess set up for 2 interuptions(2 monster negates or 1 negate and a tribute)
Aswell as
-Ragnaraika bloom for follow up
-Whatever you added with strenna to hand for follow up
Serpentine line is similar to the one in the video but serpentine summons lonefire for evil seed then does everything i mentioned if not more. If you got enough lvl 4s you can return mudan with strenna then summon it to tribute and trigger the first strenna, then make a 2nd one to trigger during the opponents turn with princess
@@PyroniumZ clsoe to my one card combo but worse, just don't play any main deck plants play purely ed plants and you sacrifice zero consistensy and still get to hyperiton and benji ez
@@stealthylion9653 The thing is that drawing those plants doesnt hurt. At worst they are extenders and from my experience many times they can protect me from droll or nib which can absolutely destroy this deck. 2-3 princess 3 glamour 1 mudan 1 primula is pretty decent ratios if you ask me
@@stealthylion9653 Also is it hyperyton and benji ontop of that board or just those 2 and i assume hunting dance, because if its the second one then my line would be much better. Obviously with something like snake rain i could end on a way better board but snake rain is an ash magnet so it never resolves
I don’t need to watch the video to know raika bad still gonna get it because my boy ipiria needs a new home
I want this set to be in DL ASAP! It bridges every archetype even remotely relatable, giving them all major support. Sunavalon will be in the meta as of tomorrow essentially so it makes sense to drop Ragnaraika too.
Best alien deck ever
THOSE LEGS GODDAMN
Once again, we wait for the second/third wave of support to make the pure deck playable
I've been playing beetroopers at locals basically since they came out without much success and I'm determined to make them work. I'm hoping the ragnaraika stuff helps me out lol
I think it's humorous how people organize their main decks by Monster, Spell, Actual Trap, Hand Trap now. I mean it makes perfect sense and all but it's just a quirk I've noticed a lot of people do now 🤣
I hope we get a decent variety of plant/insect/reptile support when they come to MD
Let’s turn plants evil
When are we getting a supercut of every single intro you made
Great video
Beetrooper got snubbed
Have you tried playing it with Predaplant.
Ragnaraika are the ugly twin of the Tri brigade 🗿
Apparently, the best use for an entirely new archetype is to have four of its cards absorbed into the Plant Pile. Ouch.
Edit: My bad, apparently there's a Reptile Pile as well! And a Traptrix deck. It sucks that it apparently only exists to enhance existing combos, rather than stand out on its own.
A lot of archetypes start off like that and become whole with more support, and more Ragnaraika is coming.
The king THE KING
Good damage additive to traptrix, gotta get my blooms before the next wave of support boosts thier price
Is inzektor or beetle troopers a viable build for ragna?
sad that there was no cactus in this
Where the heck is my insect pile beetroppers!
"planent polluntant"
considering that snake rain is full combo, id really think playing it at 3
"1 tearlament mirror later" and that's why time rules are the way they are.
on one hand, the Ogdo set looks amazing. On the other, Traptrix should never ever be given anything that helps them.
Can’t believe I just saw a ogdoaika deck list with melusine and no coatl so it could actually be made lmao
I wonder how long it’ll take Konami to have to ban something from this, if this deck ever gets a really good plant-link that’s a boss monster I feel it could push “good stuff plant deck” to be super strong
We got BBW, now RIP. I vote for PMC next.
Atleast MBT covered Rikka. Alot of TCG profiles have been avoiding them lol One guy posting that Rikka's are the worst for Ragnaraika.
Ah, another day for a shitty MBT Ogdo-including list, must be a day ending in -y.
Good video 👍
was the last good insect deck inzektor?
Ogdoadik and rikka souns great
Does it pair well with inzektor?
Evil Sneed
something something mbtoes
No predaplant feels bad man
the deck that fusion locks and wants to summon dragon boss monsters using DARKs and fusions as material isn't good with the new link archetype of various attributes that typelocks you???????
@@__-be1gk there’s more in the archetype than 1 dragon boss monster
The dark thing is a good point but predaplanning is a great trap and triphyoverutum is a solid boss monster
@@__-be1gk Not every card fusion or type locks you. I have tested a version of it and its not the worst but still worse than the rest of the raika decks
**sad pothead noises**
