OK, the mother went into her daughters apartment and stole her meals. Which means the mother had a key. Nothing was ever mentioned about getting the key back or changing the locks. That would be the first thing I would have done change the locks!
Or moved and not telling the toxic mom new address. There is no way about it she STOLE that food. Bet the company gave mom money to BUY things for the bake sale which she pocketed. So the investigation and demotion.
Good the sister were close. Both Mark and Emily sound like great friends.

She didn't share the meals with her Mom. The Mom stole them and took them to her workplace for a bake sale. So the daughter that made the meals for her sister, went to the Mom's workplace and confronted her there. As a result the Mom we demoted from her job and sent to a remote branch. The sisters cut ties with their Mom.
Are there mothers that bad out there. I know of many controlling and manipulative mothers but haven't come across one like this
