in Vtube studio you can actually stick assets like arms, ears etc directly to your model... but the Nijisanji members have everything in OBS like normal image layers. Nijisanji update your software to help them out ;w;
I’m not sure but my guess is that so if they accidentally show or say anything unwanted, it’s impossible to go back and watch it again. So it’s only that one instance live, and afterwards they can private the VOD to edit it
