Thanks very much Dom, the berg lancers especially came out well. Enjoying watching your games, keep posting them ……. Need to plan on a game in summer 26 so I can start painting towards it….we always need a few more units don’t we 😉😀😀
Interesting new units JP. Very colourful but can they fight? As Murat said about his Neapolitans. I'm currently working on putting Lutzen on at CGs place in April.
I saw a note from Chris, hope it goes really well……gutted I’m missing out……will have to plan something for the summer of 26, need to set a target for some painting I think…..do post up some photos if you can, would love to see it. Cheers JP
Another couple of years till I get to play with the 28mms again 😲, having a great time out here but have to admit suffering 28mm napoleonic withdraw symptoms
Indeed, 😀😀but these Ulhans appear to have been always dressed and equipped as hussars while in Prussian service in 1815. They had been inherited from Russian outfitting and command….and as far as I can see didn’t have lances, indeed in the period 1812 to 1814 were the 1st and 2nd Hussars regiments in the Russo German Legion, so a case of Ulhans in name only……(and to just add confusion Russian Hussars were often lance armed…..so perhaps some indeed had lances when first formed), in any event I thought Ulhans outfitted as hussars would be fun to paint up and spark some interest 😀😀
Berg Lancer's colors are awesome...and you did them justice, great job on them and on the Prussian cavalry!!
Thanks Phil much appreciated
Brilliant job on them well done fantastic pant work 🤠🤠🤠
Thanks very much
Wow... beautiful.. I love the minor country uniforms/troops. These look great! Nice job!
Thanks very much, did like doing the berg especially, cheers JP
Brilliant JP they look fantastic. Great addition, never seen the regiments represented in any game, good on you for bringing them to the table 👍
Thanks very much Allan, hoping they make it back for an outing in 26…..it’s a long wait but a chance to knock out a few more units I think…
Ah I knew you couldn’t keep away from 28mm long! Very nice indeed and creative approach which looks great

Beautifully done. Good idea to keep them unmounted for shipping. I have just lost a scabbard and a standard …. While painting!
Hoping they all make it back ok, and thinking on what to do next….🤔🤔
Those are very nice indeed!
Thanks very much, now what to do next…….🤔🤔
Very nice work..
Thanks a lot, cheers JP
Very impressive
Thanks very much

Good to see your getting some painting time. Are these staying with you or getting shipped home.
I’m back to the uk in a couple of weeks for a few days so I’m hoping to bring them with me…..fingers crossed they make it in one piece…🤞🤞
Excellent! When will you return to the UK?
Not for another couple of years, so a bit of time to wait till these Napoleonics get an outing 😮😮😀😀
Poor little men.
Really nice JP. Just on your pronunciation, I think the lancer term uhlan is pronounced yoo-lan, not ull-han 😊
Thanks Mark…..I think that’s one I’ve done before…one day perhaps I’ll remember 😮😮😀😀
How much longer are you in the states for?

@@JP-ml4zh haha, are you going to historicon in July?
Aren't Ulans supposed to have lances?

It’s pronounced OO-Laans (as in Boo) and spelt Uhlans or Ulans. The ‘H’ is silent.
Thanks for the heads up 👍👍
@@JP-ml4zh - Wish I had your talent and energy for painting. My armies will be ready in circa 2030. Hopefully!
