works super well on a superflat world. not so much on a regular world where there are caves all around you under ground where mobs prefer to spawn instead of your farm. to make a farm like this effective you need to afk above it like 120 blocks above
Reminder: you gotta make this about 2 stacks of blocks in the air from the highest point near you because mobs can spawn in cave systems that may be below you and the ground around you.
eaxctly just use 128 scafholding and at that height i made this farm with 2 layers and also at the ground i make creeper farm(that which comes with cats) and both farm work together efficiently
Tip for this design: If you want to improve it slightly, you can place trapdoors in a 3x3 pattern, each with 2 blocks of space between its adjacent trapdoors, repeat this pattern for each platform of the spawn chamber. This will significantly decrease the spawn rate of spiders which means more creepers, zombies and skeletons
if you dont want to use torches, you can make a full block roof, and then put bottom slabs on top of the full blocks, providing no light, and no mobs spawning at the top Also, to prevent spiders, put buttons down on some blocks (one block with no button, the next one with a button) to have the farm running smooth with no spiders

@timmytwoshoes 69 you don't have to but at the same time, why not? (Apart from the fact it will take months if not a year if straight mining to get enough netherite)
after building you should build an "afk" room up to 80 blocks high starting on the middle of your mod farm roof. that way mobs could only spawn inside of your mob farm and not in mid air.
