OOoh! nice! You need more PET videos so I can learn all about them! I am getting my PET's soon, after 5 years of waiting... I am sooo excited!!! and that video anomaly looks like a stuck bit...
But the PET's seem to have it the worse out of the Commodore lines. I can't speak for CRT's experience, but my VIC-20 and C64 and my C128 never had the these issues. Even my VIC-20 with the PET style keyboard all work great. And yea, the PET's are older, but I would expect the 20's, 64's or the 128 to have a few bad or failing keys. In fact the only bad Commodore 64 key I had was due to a broken carbon contact band that I just swapped out.
@@robertsissco2439 I have several C64s with no DEL, and a few other spotty keys. I think it depends on use, and storage environment. They are still easier to fix than the foil and foam or the membrane type keyboards. I think the C64's contact pad on the stem is better than the PET one.
@@robertsissco2439 I think I have had at least one or two non-functioning key on every Commodore I have got my hands on (of course some of them looked like they spent the last 30 years in a barn, so one or two bad keys is not bad!)

Oops, I forgot to pack your PETs. Just kidding, they are ready to go to VCFMW.
Luckily if its the video ram that should be an easy fix. My pet had weird issue with its character rom that caused similar issues.
The next video should be out next week, and yes fixing this problem was easy....
All those carbon contact keyboards are in need of refurbishment after 40 years.

@@KAPTKipper I have yet to have to fix a foil and foam but have done a few membrane (TI-99s), I like working on the Commodore ones a lot more!
