PACO PARK & CEMETERY - The most beautiful park in Manila and Jose Rizal's initial interment site.

- If you like parks and history then Paco Park & Cemetery is the place for your next stroll in the shade. It's really the most beautiful park in Manila, in my humble opinion. It's also Jose Rizal's initial interment site. There is no admission fee and it's open from 6am to 11am daily. Paco Park is located on General Luna Street and at the east end of Padre Faura Street in Paco, Manila. The closest LRT station is United Nations and then it's a 400 metre walk up Gen Luna St to the park.

Congratulations on your 10k subscriber.
Thank you very much!
I was married there and was a catered reception in the garden 30 years ago. Gorgeous venue.
Lovely place.
What a beautiful PacoPark and also those walls and old solid bricks 🧱
Yes, it has a similar feel to the Intramuros.
You did another good job in this vlog Mr Butters. Highlly educational.
this over 200 years old, it must be treasured
It's classified as a National Park so, I believe, it has protection under law.
Congratulations on reaching the 10K subscriber milestone. I'm noticing an increase in the rate new subscribers are joining. I am pretty certain a great majority of them are like me who enjoy your insights and sense of humor as you explore various places and establishments around the Philippines. More power to you!
Thanks my friend, I appreciate your comments.
A shame that I've never been there, Rizal is my hero.
Hi. New subscriber here. My nephew’s wedding was there at Paco park on that church 2015. And the reception was also there inside those beautiful green grass. Thanks so much.
Sounds very nice indeed.
the manila were on complete destruction in WWII, were abit lucky to see what remaining historical sites left atleast... it's a very great tour tho sir.👍
It's still a beautiful place. my wife and I got married here 33 years ago! We still are!!! Nothing much has changed except that it's airconditioned now. They used to hold free concerts there every Sunday. I wish they'd revive that. Fond memories!
Nice place to get married.
I remember that. It was televised every Sunday in PTV Channel 4 and aptly titled "Paco Park Presents".
Proud to say I'd attended a few concerts there before. This remains my favorite historical place in the world.
Beautiful place, had no idea it exist, I left the Philippines at such a young age in 1961. I never got to experienced all those places.
I hope you have the opportunity one day.
Greetings from Malaysia. Thank you for the nice video on Paco Park. This place brings back wonderful memories 33 years ago when I first came to the Philippines and had my wedding in the beautiful Paco Park Chapel. Nowadays, whenever we come over to Manila from Malaysia, we still make it a point to visit this place and to attend the weekend mass or the concerts. The last time we visited this place was on 21 July 2019, exactly 2 years ago. Congratulations to you too for attaining 10K subscribers.👏👏👏😊
have always wanted to watch a "Paco Park Presents" concert. I wonder if they still happened pre-pandemic.
Hi Marshall. Another good one. You should go back to see the inside of the chapel. Thanks.
Yes, I would like to.
Try to visit nuvali sta Rosa,Laguna also nice view it's surrounded by mountain and lake. This is nearer at silang cavite
Thanks for the tip.
What a beautiful and peaceful place. Thank you for sharing. Also, excellent music selection for this video too!
Thanks Kevin, it's a beautiful piece of music I agree. Also, I've ordered a cold shoe extension so, many thanks for the tip.
hahahah your bestfriend is late! :D Filipina time ;)
Manila traffic!!!!!!!!!!
I think the ashes of people who died of cholera including the remains of National hero, Jose O. Rizal, during the Spanish times were interred in the former Paco Cemetery, renamed Paco Park. My officemates got married in the chapel and since it was a former cemetery, I said to them, " Indeed, your marriageis till death do you part".
😀
Nice place and congrats marshall! Try out the swiss inn hotel and restaurant there they have a swiss cuisine.
Thanks for the tip!
The last time I was there was when I was still in college which was more than 20 years ago.
Congratulations Marshall👍 10 subs and counting ❗❗❗
Thanks Karen!
......☝❤✌👍💪😁
the best time to visit paco park is at night ... 👻😁😅
hahaha
Your very lucky to get there. That's one of the most historic places in the philippines...
Looked like mini Intramuros walls, a lovely place. Appreciate taking us beautiful people around Manila history 😁
It's my pleasure!
Nice park well maintained.
Im just wondering why only few people visiting this beautiful Paco Park compare to Intramuros.
CONGRATULATIONS 🥳 MR. Butters!! All the best! This is my go to channel after a night shift. We enjoy your travel and food reviews.
Thanks June.
I've never been there, nice walk around. Thanks for the background info.
No problem 👍
nice upload beautiful atmosphere have a great weekend greeting's from japan and sending my full support
Thank you Melody.
You should check the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, one of the oldest school in the Phil. and was use as prison by the Japanese in WW2. I also would visit the National Museum, if you're into history.
It's on my list for after lockdown. Thanks.
Yeah indeed !! Thanks for featuring this park you're doing a great job!! Stay safe 😊
Thanks, you too!
I think there's no people because it's 12 noon, it's very hot. I think more people will be there afternoon time. I bet that place looks great during sunset.
It's currently open from 6am to 11am. Don't know why.
Loves you marshall the way you talk you are from uk british

Congratulations on the 10K! Well-deserved. Thanks for the tour of Paco Park. I had been wanting to go there but never had the chance. I think they used to have classical music concerts during the cooler months.
I've heard that. How nice would that be??????????
So glad you finally made it to Paco Park, my favorite place in the world!
Yes, it's pretty good.
It's the Philippines most introverted park.
It's a cementery in spanish time, at the center of the cemetery is a tomb. So much dead Spaniards buried there and Dr. Jose Rizal buried there before and now his bones is transferred in Luneta park.
Fort Santiago is and baluarte de san diego most beautiful park in manila
Otros te dan sus vidas sin dudas, sin pesar;
Y al fin anuncia el día trás lóbrego capuz;
Deja á la luna verme con luz tranquila y suave;
Por nuestras pobres madres que gimen su amargura;
Aroma, luz, colores, rumor, canto, gemido
Dad gracias que descanso del fatigoso día;
Adios, dulce extrangera, mi amiga, mi alegria,
Adios, queridos séres morir es descansar.
Wow, you've added the whole poem!
I've heard that the wall itself are the tombs of the people who died by the epidemic.
congratulations on your 10,000 subs- 15,000 soon -lets go people lets support this channel
Yes please!
I am Filipino and I've never been there. I should be ashamed of myself. I will definitely visit next time I'm in Manila. Thank you for doing this 💜
You should! Don't be ashamed, just enjoy.
Always love your contents of showing the beautiful places around the Metro Manila! Congrats on your 10,000 milestone.
Thank you very much!
Thanks Marshall for bringing out the best places in Manila. There are a lot of historical sites in the Philippines has to offer. Plus new modern part in other cities. Salute
My pleasure!!
My wife and I got married there 33 years ago. It's as beautiful as it was back then. Not much has changed except that the chapel is now airconditioned. They used to hold free concerts there every Sunday a few decades ago. I wish they'd revive that. Fond memories indeed!
Yes, we've lost so much from Covid.
Great stories in your vlog sir! Love the humor and the candidness. Always made me laugh. Congratulations and more power.
Thank you kindly!
Thanks for showing us the place. I lived in the Philippines for my first 34 years of my life and had never been there. Always learn something new from you. Keep up the good work.
Glad you enjoyed it.
We used to go there a lot back in college one of us even got married there. Truly a Gem hidden in the chaos that is Manila. Thank you Marshall for sharing.
Couldn't agree more!
thank you very much! Mr. Marshall Butters for featuring the hidden Jem of Manila, Philippines.. Stay Safe
My pleasure!
Thank you for showing us around this beautiful historical landmarks. Loved the patriotic story of our national hero, Dr. Jose P. Rizal and beautifully manicured plants and trees in the Paco Cemetery.
Congratulations 👏👏👏 for reaching 10k Well done. All the best 🙏 Stay well 😷
Thanks again.
Thank you for that beautiful walk in the park, reminds me of St. Francis!✝️
Glad you enjoyed it.
12 noon walk there is lovely. Could a 12 midnight walk there be more interesting?
It wouldn't be open. I think early morning would be best as the heat would be low and the shade would be just what you'd want... gorgeous.
Osario in Spanish is ossuary in English or a place where you keep human bones.
Imagine Paco Park at night time … serenaded by an orchestra playing beautiful classical music… at times, a grand piano is also used… soloists like soprano or a baritone we’re featured…or sometimes, a quartet playing baroque music 😊
10,000 congratulations to you! You deserve 90,000 more. ..for your silver play button...which im very sure will be coming soon...
Thank you so much 😀
Hello Mr Marshall. What a wonderful and beautiful Park. So peaceful and serene. Loved your camera angle view in the beginning 0.32 when you entered the park, the music and most of all the slice of history. Enjoyed this one today.. Before I forget.. Big Congratulations and greetings from UK👍😊❤

Congratulations on your 10K milestone, Marshall.

Thanks Noel.
Never been to paco
Well, then there's a nice surprise awaiting you.
Fyi, on a completely different topic, being that Manila...the Philippines for that matter, is typically hot, you should consider wearing light-colored shirts especially when walking outside. Dark-colored shirts absorb heat while the light ones repel heat. Just saying.
Dark colour hide sweat stains hahaha
@@marshallbuttersvlogs6880 Haha! I suggest buying yourself an aluminum-free deodorant to avoid armpit sweat stains.
@@rrubio6660 sadly, deodorants don't prevent sweating (they only control odor); only anti-perspirants do
@@oxoelfoxo Let's not get into semantics. The point is, there are choices out there to prevent stains and still prevent body odor.
@@rrubio6660 I would argue that semantics is impt but in any case, light colored clothing will definitely be more comfy. He could bring a couple of changes for when it's really hot and humid.
Congratulation Marshall! Your vlogs are informative and fun! Thank you so much. I just subscribed and very pleased that I did it!
Welcome aboard!
It'sI nice to see you early in the morning walking towards boni while I'm biking to work at shaw.
For a moment I thought you were celebrating 10 thousand dead people interred at the Paco Park. My father used to drive us past the park on our way to San Beda College where I went to High School and which is near the Malacanang Palace. As is often the case, even Filipinos living in Manila have never been to that park and only know it by name. Through the magic of UA-cam we get to vicariously see it with you. Thanks for braving the heat which most likely is the reason why Filipinos are often prevented from seeing places like it. You probably have to see The Luneta, aka Rizal Park, which might give you reason to rethink the idea that Paco Park is as beautiful as you think. Nevertheless, your effort is very much appreciated by yours truly! Btw, congratulations on reaching your 10K milestone!
Thanks for your comment my friend.
Happy 10k to you Mr. Marshall and more!
Another informative and interesting vlog, I’m a Filipina but I haven’t been inside Paco park maybe next time I will take my British husband there ☺️
By the way my husband loves your background music (we search for it “The Long Walk”)
Keep safe and well!
Thanks! 😃
Wow I like that you’re coming up with a daily blog Marshall! Indeed a beautiful park! Keep it coming Sir! 👍
More to come!
6:26- those dome shaped things along the wall and under the path that you took ARE the tombs of the friars.
Thats why you can pray anywhere cause the church not always open😂
Happy 10k!
Thanks for featuring the chapel where my parents got wed in.
Thank you!
An hour away from my City but haven’t been there. Probably after covid anyway thanks for this fantastic video thou. Love watching all your vlogs.
