    In this parametric Pattern tutorial, we will model an advanced pattern in Grasshopper. first, we will model a series of square cells and then by modeling a corner of the pattern's curve, we will eventually use the polar array to finish the final pattern. By adding a point we will make the pattern react to the point attractor.

    Hi, thank you for this tutorial. I am still fairly new to Grasshopper, but I was able to follow along and get a good result. Thanks you. After your tutorial I tried to rebuild a pattern that I found online but I did not succeed. Is there a way to show it to you? Maybe you know I could got about reconstructing it.

    Hi ive just started grasshopper and wanted to ask do all base patterns you want to blend or make parametric need to have geometry that in some way is related in order for it to work smoothly can you take a cuvlinear paytern in one corner and rectalinear in the other and reparamatise or two totally unique shapes love your tutorials by the way

    Your videos are amazing. I wish I had these when I was first learning GH. Of course I am still learning from them so I'm glad. I hope from your videos, people stop thinking that GH is too hard for them to learn!

      Thanks,John. Yeah, Grasshopper is the easiest coding language out there! it's a little bit complicated because, anyway, it's coding! but it's easier to master because of its graphical interface.

    Could you give a more in depth explanation on how to remap the distance to a GraphMapper instead of a single point? I'm having a bit of trouble trying to get that done. I would love to have different graphs define the radius of a set of circles close to what you did.
    Thanks for the amazing content!

    Hey ! you are not using " Remap numbers " instead you are using "Remap+" which is not there in the normal grasshopper . why did you use that ?

    Hi, I have a similar case study but on a different pattern. How do you apply this patterns on a irregular or curved facade surface? do you have any tutorials on that? Thanks in advance. By the way I'm an Architect by profession and I'm currently on the Facade Industry and I'm currently studying parametric design.

    Hello, I am wondering if there is any way to create a changing pattern by one to another? For example in your pattern; we have two different shapes and the others are changing versions of these two, so is there any way to draw only these two shapes and get together with a pattern?

    • @ParametricHouse
      @ParametricHouse  5 років тому

      Yeah perhaps you can use tween curves to define the changes

    I love YOU! you saved me, this is exactly what I needed. Thank you! And if you wondered who is the person liking your video before even watching them, yes it's me :D
    EDIT: why using different settings for grid, while using SED arc, it doesn't connect points as in the video? by plugin in x the circles are way too big

      @@ParametricHouse I had different size of the grid and the pattern was scalled in very strange matter. I had to redo the whole thing to find out which components had to be connected differently in order to work :)

    Hi. I wanted to ask how you can do the opposite action from "graft"
    Ie: "flatten" on one level only.
    Thanks a lot for all your tutorials! You are a genius!!

    • @ParametricHouse
      @ParametricHouse  5 років тому

      You're welcome
      To flatten only one group is to maybe split your tree and then combine them back again. You can also use replace path which gives you complete control over your data

    Quick question: is it possible to have this pattern on a flat plane and then flow along surface it on a cylinder ? I'm doing a motorcycle grip design and want to give it a shot . Thanks ! :)

      There's an option where you select the volume and then the surface with the pattern and the surface takes the shape of the volume. I've checked a video about it about a building.

      Follow the logics and use the cp point for the attractors. You should be able to use multiple points

    why we use once point on curve and once evaluate curve what's the difference ?

    • @ParametricHouse

      They are the same but evaluate curve gives you more control because of the number slider
