    Absolutely nailed it Jeff! Buddy you definitely rock at prime rib! I've seen you do a lot of them and they are always bumper to bumper, coast to coast perfectly pink! Most people struggle with that but you always deliver a perfect prime rib!

    Wow! I'm slummin' with a USDA Prime Grade standing rib roast this Christmas. Really good job on this video! Tons of good advice here. And lots of good, rare, in-depth information. Plenty of short little quips which really matter. Jotting down some quick notes would help while watching with this video. Very well done. Thank you.

      There is no such grade of beef as "wagyu". So don't go believing your "prime" is subpar to something that just translates to "cow" in Japanese. At least a prime grade beef means something in the United States, there is a standard behind it. Wagyu is a marketing term to separate idiots from their money.

    Great cook, but not a smart buy. Snake River Farms “Silver” grade wagyu has the same marbling as USDA Prime. Meaning you could’ve gotten a Prime grade without the “Wagyu” markup. For 50 bucks more, go with Snake River Farms “Black” grade. That’s where the value is.

      I used salted, I like a tad more salty edge but I have used unsalted in other prime cooks too. Thanks for watching!

      They have grown a lot in the past few years so they use multiple farms. It should be a nice chunk of meat, everything I have gotten from them has been great!! Thanks for watching!!

    Pass on the Wagyu. Go prime. You could even go choice and you’d have a nice beefy piece of meat. Wagyu is for the fanboys.

    • @SmokedBBQSource
      @SmokedBBQSource  5 місяців тому

      Hahahaha ok low budget is fine but American wagyu is very good. Plus in all the comps the only thing that wins is Wagyu these days.
