"No more FOMO". I wish everyone felt this way about everything. The gaming industry would probably be in a better place if people stopped buying day 1 and pre-ordering anything.
great review man , i learned some things the other guys didnt really touch on like the stick quality and the power button wish it was the other style but whatcha gonna do.
Just came over to show some support man. Great review and good tips on the cleaning of the screen. I have a couple more tips to add with that. Also you could use a can of compressed air or an actual air compressor air tool to blow out any particles on the plexiglass and screen. Anyway I'm going to be making another quick video on my Ridge Racer Arcade1up PC modded sit down build. And it will be uploaded here shortly. Thanks for the support!
The Sanwa GT-Y octagonal restrictor gate is the perfect addition to any fighting game fan's joystick. This restrictor gate will give you more precise 8-way movement for fighting games😊
What are the dimensions? Looks like its about half the size of the actual arcade machine? How tight is it when you play with two players? This was one I really was thinking of getting. I just never bought an 1Up Arcade yet.
Hello, can you please tell me the exact height in inches from the floor to the top of the control panel? I have looked and looked and can't find reliable info. It would be much appreciated.
Does the music seem off in MK, that was a problem with the earlier versions, notice how the drums sound louder when the title screen appears with that high pitched piece of music and in the character profile the music seems muffled and some parts seem too soft. In MAME you can adjust the sound channels but you can't here, this is just lazy programming. I didn't build mine yet, I'm just going on your video.
I didn’t play the 30th cab but it doesn’t feel bad. It’s not like the sega genesis collection on switch where the lag is so bad you can’t play half the games.
Even if they release MK4 I'm happy with MK Deluxe. That's why I bought the MVC1 cab because I don't need MVC2 and the art is way better. Also MK4 is still super hard to emulate perfectly even on MAME so I'm afraid an Arcade1up MK4 cab would be another fiasco again.
Great video, dude. The seam right through the middle of the artwork is a horrible design choice IMO. Figure out different ways to ship to have those side panels be one piece. With each new variant of these cabs, it's like they go out of their way to find ways for things not to be perfect or consistent.
I see that SoR4 poster. Excellent collection. I put the statue and the chicken on top of my SoR Legacy cabinet. Check out Recroom Masters, i have a video of the cab on my channel. They do excellent work! Costs more, but SO worth it.
I’ll have to double check that. It does not feel like the MvC gate which is clearly a 4 gate but doesn’t feel as solid as MvC 2. Also doesn’t feel square Ms pac-man either. With my other 4 way gate cabs I can notice right away that it’s square.
@Toxin hmm. Pacman is square but like a diamond. Square for mk would be a square resting flat. 8 way is octagonal gate. That's what you're referring to? I actually took apart the mk2 control panel to tighten the joystick knob. I just doubled checked and it's definitely a square/4 way
@@TheJosuecivic it is 4 way. I had to open and check. I think the heavier spring is what makes it feel tighter. I’ll post the correction in the description, thanks!
I'm 6'2 and played on the A1up MK machine they had at the FedEx hub I used to work at. Yes you will be looking down and also you'll have to adjust your arm length a little bit. Still a lot of fun and very playable.

100% agree. If it has the molded coin door, the the LED mod is a must!
Man the sound is night and day, major upgrade there

@@ToxcynTV No problem man. Making the video as we speak! Just to note it is very raw with a cell phone camera. lol

Good review, fair criticisms. Well done.
Hey brother thank u so much, this is a review !!! Thanks
Was wondering if you have a video or information on how to mod the coin slots? I just purchased this as my very first game cabinet.

Fantastic review 👍 Now I just want one even more.
Damnit I was looking for a full build video lol.

I’m sorry I sold this cab last year :(
@@ToxcynTV
Oh noooooooooooo! J/K, well thanks for letting me know!
I'm going to wait for the pro version
That's awesome you got one man. I'm still looking for one.
Should be officially on sale I’m guessing next week.
I like your video! You did a fantastic job! The Deluxe cab looks so good! 👍🏻
Nice these are finally in the wild.

are there any places that sell a mod kit for this unit
You mentioned the input lag…it’s not near as bad as the 30th anniversary correct?

@@Gamingforgod1987 I suck at MK I don’t know any of the combos outside of smoke so I’m practicing lol sorry
Oh man your all good! I’m not very good at 1 and 2 but UMK3 was my game! Glad to see you online practicing!

I think MvC is a better game than MvC2. MvC2 is too broken and you cannot compete at all against people that have mastered it.

I’ll def check it out! I have my chicken in the plastic still by the statue lol
Can you get a riser for it it looks very low?
No it is a riserless design and the same size as the midway cabs that do have a riser. It’s actually not low at all
You sure it's a 4 way? I have both mvc2 and mk2d. Mvc2 definitely feels 8way and mk2d feels 4 way

Can i play standing up? Im 6ft
Yes, but you may look down a little.

Does it shake?
You mean does it wobble? No it’s sturdy on my floor.
@@ToxcynTV yes, do you have it on hard wood floor?
@@BiggggyD I do. It’s pretty level. None of my cabs move around.

cool shirt
How much was it?
$499
@@ToxcynTV Sounds like a fair price
Does it have scanlines
Yes it does have a scanlines feature
@@ToxcynTV did you check if input lag gets any better with it off? wasn't it on the 30th edition that some filter made the input lag worse?
@@Vurt72 I can check that tomorrow. I know it does add lag on mvc2 but I haven’t tried it on MK
