      I was shouting at the TV for him to win , to embarrass the arrogance off Jakob antics of the semi final and final over confidence and lack of respect for the other opponents in both those races. maybe now he will stop doing it now.he will win many more title and finally the world ,1500 metres title in future.but I did enjoy this.

      Shouldnt be an option, it should be mandatory.
      Sharing a gold medal goes against the whole entire ethos of individual sport & competition.
      If I wanna see caring & sharing I'll go look in at a sewing circle, not an athletics competition.

      @@SPIDERM0OSEthey both tried to win it but failed! So after that the competition is oficially over. They would have had to have extra jumps but it‘s not team sports and it‘s not a tournament, it‘s a competition. If both athletes end up with the same number of points in a Hepathlon, you also wouldn‘t do extra rounds. There‘s also draws in many winter sports like ski racing or ski jumping. It happens and rightfully so!

      Yes. She ran hard for a personal best of 48.76. Just wondering how would Sydney McLaughlin with a personal best of 48.74 fare if she had been here. It would have been a great battle to the finish.

    a slow 400 metre 48.8 - for example Freeman won her Olympic gold *23 years ago* with a 49.1 and that wasn't even a PB.

    Alison Dos Santos (Brazil) won this event last year and Warholm was defeated, but this year the Disrespectful Cheating Organizers placed Dos Santos in LANE 9, for this Final ..... even though Dos Santos was one of the 6 automatic qualifiers from the 3 Semifinals and his timing was the 4th fastest of the 8 Finalists. Why was he placed in one of the 2 worst Lanes for this Final (Lane 9) ..... Then, Why wasn't Warholm placed in Lane 2 for this Final ?

      World Athletics changed the lane draw rules on the request of the athletes!! The first 4 seeds from the semi finals go in lanes 5-6-7-8, the next 2 in 4 or 9 and the last 2 in 2 or 3.
      Alison was the 5th seed so you do the maths. Without crying.

      People want a good competition. If that ends with two athletes being so closely matched that they both agree to share, why not? Both this vaulting comp and the Olympic men's high jump were amazing contests and all those athletes deserved to win, and it seems most ppl love the story.

      It sounds good and looks dope, sure. But you lose out on the reality of the situation with music. That's what commentators do. They help the viewers feel the magnitude of the moment with beautiful observations, technical knowledge and of course, emotion.

      Personally for me it's so exciting to see two athletes match one for one all the way to gold medal level.
      These are not participation trophies, they both made it to the gold medal.
