euphoria is in the middle of the story of bts universe. every frame and scene here has its special meaning. but it's impossible to understand if you don't know the beginning. and even if you do know where to start there're dairy books and comic books and concert vcr which are the part of the story also 🥲
the colours is as much the part of the story as it's a way to fool us into thinking it's warmer than it actually is. they filmed it at the end of the winter. there's no leaves on the trees yet. 😅
I don't know how to help you. I spent every day of seven years with bts and I still haven't run out of content. they have crazy amount of work done.
Actually solo songs are what is special with BTS, I have been listening to kpop for over a decade, and to be honest I still can't think of a single group that took the risk and had all members do a solo song each on a group album, having the confidence that all members would be able to show their own colors/stories without overshadowing each other.
Solo songs also really help when it comes to pacing their concerts because this way there are 7 songs in the setlist where can members rest (6 solo songs plus one unit song, because they also always perfom a vocal line and a rap line song)

Yeah I skipped mentioning the intros in their 2013-2016 albums since they are really short and just the rapline.
Wings was the first album where we got true normally long solo songs (I am again not counting their mixtape and souncloud solo releases)
This is part of the bts universe you need to watch every music video and short films since 2015 and read the webtone to understand what is going on jin is the main character of the storyline and everytime a member will get to be the main character for his own

I understand you are new to them and like them all together... we love them together too. But I also find it interesting to watch their solo songs and see what they choose for the music that represents that person, not the whole group. It makes you know them better individually. And as they grow older there will be more solo music apart of the music I'm sure we'll still get from them together. They also have vocal line songs (V,Jungkook,Jimin,Jin), rap line songs (RM&Suga&JHope) and orher duos/trios on multiple albums.
As others said the video is part of BU (bangtan universe), wich combines maaaany videos, a videogame, a webtoon, a book series and a short film as far as I know to tell a fictional story of 7 boys that have different issues. It is realllly complicated and honestly something I would recommend later on when you know them better.

Welcome to the bangtan universe! a fictional storyline that goes throughout many BTS videos, it includes short films, songs, (there are even books and notes for people that want a deeper understanding of the story) webtoons and many other things. It's so so deep. As much as I would like to explain you the meaning of this video, I think you'll probably want to discover it by yourself.
You said that you didn't like this music video and I understand why... it probably is because this isn't a music video, it is a compilation of different scenes put together to feed the storyline. Euphoria doesn't have MV.
**SPOILER**
Just as a quick and superficial intro to the storyline: Each one of the members have a sad backround that makes them lonley and wanting to take their own lifes but when they all meet they give each other strenght, they are the happiest when they are together... Jin has the ability to travel in time, so every time one of his friends kill themselves or do something wrong, Jin travels in time to save them with the purpose to reunite again and be happy together. But it is very difficult.
At the end you can see Jin taking V's place because V killed himself at the beginning when he jumped but Jin traveled in time and saved him, finally you can watch V staring at Jin, like he was familiar somehow with that scene.

This music video (Highlight Short Film) is part of their Bangtan Universe, which starts with their Youth Era, albums "The Most Beautiful Moment in Life - Part 1", "The Most Beautiful Moment in Life - Part 2", and "The Most Beautiful Moment in Life - Young Forever". This is after their School Era, and this one covers the trials of youth and the bond of friendship, and it covers mental health, and other issues that youth deal with.
Then after the YOUTH Era, was the WINGS Era, that had two albums - "WINGS", and "You Never Walk Alone" and the book Demian is a big part of the storyline in this. It covers temptation and the transition from the youth era into adulthood, and the trials that young adults come to terms with. For example, with their title track, "Blood, Sweat, and Tears" - Symbolism such as the 'wings' were representations of growth, with Suga adding, "The song relays an optimistic determination to use our wings to go far, even if we are met with temptations in life."
Then after the Wings Era is the LOVE Yourself ERA - with three albums - "Love Yourself: Her", "Love Yourself: Tear", and "Love Yourself: Answer", where it takes you through the different aspects of a relationship, whether it be with a lover, a friend, family, or yourself. The underlying message is that it's important to Love Yourself first before you can love another. This is represented beautifully in JIN's Epiphany. And if you dive into their discography, you will come across all of the members' BTS solo songs, Unit songs, and their short films (which this is what you watched), and Highlight Reels. There are also story notes, Webtoons (Save Me Webtoon), and tons of theories out there. Many music videos are part of the Bangtan Universe (BU), and those will be marked with "BU" in the description area of the MV.
Another thing to note, in the LOVE Yourself Era, BTS were invited by Unicef to speak at the United Nations on their collaboration with the End Violence program, to help children across the world. They collaborated with Unicef on the "Love Myself Campaign" and it is still ongoing. They donated money from the sales of their Love Yourself Albums (a percentage), and the Love Yourself Merchandise was donated 100% of the profit. ARMY's were an integral part of the success of this campaign, and their stories were used as an example of how the Love Yourself Albums, and BTS's music, affected their lives in a positive way. You should listen to Namjoon's speech in 2018 at the UN, if you haven't already.

I made playlist there are all videos, that I know are BU, but also one short that is a Deleted scene from On Stage: Prologue that should be watched with the Prologue. Art Teaser and Trailer are for a BTS Universe Story mobil game built on BU. Japanese ones are usually blocked on YT.
There is also a webtoon Save ME that explains the start of the story, Smeraldo Blog and Notes. The Notes are mini books in albums and two full books. They are like diaries entries of 7 boys.
This content is overwhelming, so don't rush it and take your time to start it. If you gonna start this journey you should first know their faces and names better.
In B.U. o Bangtan Universe is a webtoon that was made and tells the story of 7 boys who know each other at school, being Jin the main character, he discovers that every time he closes the curtains in his room can travel to the past and modify the future, that's why at first we see V on that structure jump into the water and after Jin "intervenes" he is so satisfied that V is with the others, in broad strokes that's what the webtoon is very interesting but it's not finished and it's been driving us ARMY crazy for years!🙄 As for the light changes, it's precisely that to show Jin's different journeys and how reality changes for the boys in each Jin's journey. Here just a summary about the track and two quotes by Jungkook and RM to put a context about how it was recorded:
“Euphoria” is a feel-good song, depicting the happiness associated with young love and new beginnings, there are some underlying tones of feelings of how love is fake and not based on attraction.
The track was teased and released as a theme of 起 ‘Wonder,’ a part of the LOVE YOURSELF series under Bangtan Universe-a story incorporated through out many of BTS' music videos. “Euphoria” is crucial to Jung Kook’s storyline.
The title, “Euphoria,” derives from Ancient Greek and means a feeling of extreme happiness.
The song was also featured as the soundtrack to HBO’s Euphoria tv series season one finale.

"I specifically like “Euphoria” among many BTS songs because it has a voice that’s between a very young boy and a very mature man. And that’s why I had a tough time recording it. "I wanted to write the lyrics of “Euphoria,” but I didn’t take part a lot in the them. I was all over the place during “FAKE LOVE” promotion, and I was too busy to write the lyrics. I kept putting it off. Turns out a lot of people helped finishing the song. I supervised and changed a few words for pronunciation. I wrote the bridge part. And “When I’m with you I’m in utopia”-utopia and euphoria sound similar, so I added that line. As for the line “I hear the far-away ocean,” the original line was “I hear the far-away waves.” There is an animation film called The Ocean Waves. It’s a very romantic animation. I thought the vibe of the animation and the emotions of the song fit together. “I hear the ocean” is something you learn at school. Synaesthetic imagery. So I changed it to “I hear the ocean” and I’m happy with the result. […] Jung Kook worked on the song with great affection. He has re-edited the song so many times. He kept letting me listen to the new version. The first time I heard the guide version of “Euphoria”-the lyrics and Jung Kook’s recording-was almost a year ago. […] When I first heard “Euphoria” I loved the song and beat, and the lyrics were beautiful, but when I first heard Jung Kook’s guide version, he did really great, but it was a bit boring. I wanted him to put more emotion while singing the song. […] That is why Jung Kook recorded this song for revisions five or six times. As a result, as you can hear, it turned out to be a perfect song."

To give you context BTS has a fictional storyline that runs through there videos. If they are marked BU they are part of the Bangtan Universe which is very complicated story. It starts from the I Need U music video. This music video is part of that.

I know you're new to BTS but you're going to have to get used to them preforming and releasing individually. They are their own artists as well and have been involved in a lot of their own music over the years. A prime example is j-hope has really done well solo, with his mixtape Hope World and his album that came out this year Jack In The Box. Yes they are a group but they explore more than that and you will see them individually a lot. When they come together they create beautiful masterpieces that blow my mind and when they show ARMY what they work on solo it also blows my mind. You should check out all their solo mixtapes and releases, and more are to come in the upcoming years!!

I'm enjoying your videos! I get what you are saying about solo vs together. Their energy together is what sets the universe in motion, lol. But I also think that the fact that each one of them has the ability individually to hold the stage on his own, is amazing & possibly during a concert it gives the others off-stage a chance to get a a drink, costume change, etc. I like to think of the solos as a pause point for the others, while the soloist shines & keeps the stage in motion during their absence. Same goes for when just the vocal line performs or just the rap line. I always miss the other members, but I'm guessing it gives them a moment to prepare for the next song, take a breath, etc. But their collective synergy, as you say, is certainly like their superpower. Together (with ARMY) they/we are bulletproof. 💜

The colourgrading very much so fits the theme of "euphoric" feeling. It's showing the flash of memories/dreams just before passing away. In the alternate universe there runs a story of 6 of the boys losing control and some passing away. It's beautiful how they painted that picture with this MV.
What i like about BTS's music was that we can imagine the lyric, we can make our own movie, our own story base from lyric and the sound of the song..

Most of the Music Videos that are heavily involved w their storyline I noticed had crazy blue color grading. Euphoria my favorite song! It’s cool to see their personalities in individual work.
For me I love them as solo artists and as a group ik what you mean but when you start deep dive into them as individuals you'll get it

Here color grading is to give us the sens of exaggerated happiness which it will change in the next album LOVE YOURSELF TEAR. This one was the beginning of LOVE YOURSELF SERIES.
They have lots of stories to understand them you need to start with "HWA YONG YEON HWA" than "YOU NEVER WALK ALONE" than "LOVE YOURSELF" than "MAP OF THE SOUL SERIES" this is the chronological order. It would be better if you start with HYYH then continue with the others. There are lots of content

Well they’ve always had their solo songs because even though they are a group they like to express their artistic styles differently. Like Jin with his new solo song. It not a bad thing. Which is why BTS have taken a break to all work on their own solo albums. That doesn’t mean they aren’t a group or aren’t as close it just a way they can express themselves like suga, RM, Jhope all have solo albums. And now Jin is releasin his album on December.

So in run mv when suga and jk have a fight everything is shattered in one scene also it said suga in the BU suicides like he puts fire in his room and jk could only save his shirt from fire not his friend so in fake love we see him wearing that shirt of yoongi and there's a scene in fake love where yoongi is in a room and everything is on fire and Jungkook is watching in fake love Jungkook is scene going through each member which might have Jin's doing to show jk what members are suffering from euphoria can be interpreted as

If u want to dive into BU it's better to go in sequence so u should start with the beginning of BU,the song I need u ,this mv u watched or theme video has most scenes from I need u and run so I will recommend going to I need u after this it's an amazing song and special to armies and BTS bcz it saved BTS from disbanding as they had their first win with I need u ,you should check it out
Also yes rapline and vocal line solos we'll be recommending so don't worry just go along how armies are taking u for better understanding of BTS cuz you are interested in BU too so it's better look for recommendations from armies themselves so you are not laid back

Can I suggest you watch a brilliant video JUNGKOOK: THE MAIN SINGER OF BTS by IDA S. You will find this interesting as there are bits of vocals and interviews. I mean he was 13 when he left home to train and he is an introvert but he seems to overcome any shyness when competing or performing. JK transforms the most on stage.💜

I can relate to you. This happened to me as well. I required time to accept them as individual artists because it is their genuine relationship with each other and the group's synergy that drew me to BTS in the first place! But, as we gradually get to know them individually and as a group, we realise that one of the most important reasons they could maintain the kind of relationship they have is their ability to balance being the great team they are while each of them being their very own individual self! It would amaze you to know how different they are from each other when it comes to artistic expression and their preferences, and yet somewhere, there is a commonality of goal, I feel, in what they want to achieve through their music, or the very reason they make music! Bangtan Universe tells the story about struggles and traumas, about a lot of heartbreaking events in character's lives, including death, addiction, loneliness, etc

I feel the same as you. I always want all of them together, the energy is way different and you can see and feel that each of them is happy. As much as they get energy from ARMY, they draw strength mostly from each other. Like Jhope said, he did the Lollapalooza back in July and it was his first solo stage. As others have told you, you’ve stumbled into the BU (Bangtan Universe). I actually think the color grading in the Euphoria short film was done very purposefully in order to make it feel more dream-like instead of realistic. In the simplest of explanations, the storyline is based on Jin being able to time travel. He does this many, many times in order to “save” the individual members from various circumstances. Each member faces something detrimental in their life ranging from murder to abandonment to death. The depth of commitment to their art is incredible! I think you would like the song “Heartbeat”. It’s the OST to BTS World, a video game. The premise behind the MV is based on what they would each be doing if they hadn’t met, while also eluding to it being fate for them to meet. BU, by the way, this is a series of videos telling a fictional story about members, I really like these videos. Especially the acting of the guys and their passion. I must say that it is extremely difficult to catch the details of this story, at least that's how it was with me. Because they are scattered in different parts - MV, video game, comic and it seems something else. But I think you'll like it anyway, so I recommend watching them all in turn. I'm sure someone from the ARMY will leave instructions on which video to start with.
About the song and solo performance. I understand what you're talking about, their energy when they're together is on a different level. But I'm also sure that there will be solo songs that you will definitely like, despite the fact that there will be no other members there.

Welcome 😁 you e officially entered the bangtan universe or the BU which is and fictional overarching storyline which connected by many MVs webtoon and a mobile game. They also have notes for a deeper and better understanding.
The storyline shows that they all live a sad and lonely lifestyle and don't wish to live like that anymore. Theyre only happy when all 7 of them are together. They lose touch and become depressed(?). The 6 of them die (or try to kill themselves) at some point in time and one of them time travels to try and save them. He keeps time travelling cuz he keeps losing someone each time.

BTS concert is almost 3 hours+. So they need to solo break to prepare next stage. It's a clever setlist. It's hard to perform where 7 people dance for three hours. They usually do group songs and just one stage for solo during the concert. They do a group song in a medley before doing this solo stage and need an oxygen mask below the stage.

(As many might hv mentioned before... it's another rabbit hole in this BTS journey..but i love it..it adds to BTS's Artistry tbh...BU's narrative is told out of chronological order, which makes it all the more intriguing.)

with the mv for euphoria you jumped right into the BU 😅 (BTS Universe) which is quite complex and i think still ongoing? at least not all of it is revealed in a coherent story yet. there's this one really great video that sums it up pretty accurate - i think it's from Celeste but i'm not sure. but i think before diving into the explanation of the BU, it would make sense to react to all the content that contains it first, like the films, mvs like I NEED U and RUN - which there are snippets of in the euphoria mv - etc.
you'll probably won't get around to reading the books which contain important info to understanding the whole picture, but as mentioned there're pretty good explanation videos

As for the Rise of bangtan CH 5, as other suggested, you may trim the offending copyright sections and upload those. UA-cam now offers a tool called "assisted trim" that allows you to cut out the offending section of the video, mute the audio, or replace the copyrighted audio with audio you have owned or properly licensed. It also provides information on the party that filed the claim and the actions you need to take to resolve it. (some step and tips below)
How to Remove claimed content from videos:
If your video has a Content ID claim, there may be restrictions on where the video is viewable or whether it can be monetized. To remove the claim and the associated restrictions, you can edit out the claimed content without having to upload a new video.
If done successfully, any of these options will automatically clear a Content ID claim:
1. Trim out segment: You can edit out just the claimed segment from your video. (Cyrus, please see the specific details below)
2.Replace song: If the audio in your video is claimed, you may be able to replace the claimed audio with other audio from the UA-cam Audio Library.
3. Mute song: If the audio in your video is claimed, you may be able to mute the claimed audio. You can choose to mute just the song or all the video's audio.
To remove claimed content from a video:
1. Sign in to UA-cam Studio.
From the left menu, select Content .
Click the filter bar ""and then Copyright claims.
Find the video you're interested in.
In the Restrictions column, hover over Copyright claim.
Click SEE DETAILS.
Under the Content identified in this video section, find the relevant claim and click Actions Three-dot menu verticaland then Trim out segment, Replace song, or Mute song.
1. Trim out segment
This option lets you edit out the segment of your video that got the Content ID claim.
(Optional) Edit the start time and end time of the section you’re removing.
Keep in mind that if some claimed content stays in your video, the claim won’t be removed.
Click CONTINUE and then TRIM.
Once all claimed content is trimmed out, the Content ID claim will be removed from your video.
2. Replace song (audio claims only)
This option lets you swap claimed audio with other audio from the UA-cam Audio Library.
Use the search filters "" to find a new audio track. Click Play to preview tracks.
When you find a song you like, click ADD. The song will appear in the editor in a blue box.
Click and drag the box to change when the song should start. Keep in mind that if some claimed audio stays in your video, the claim won’t be removed.
Drag the edges of the box to change the amount of the song that plays.
Use the zoom options Zoom in for more precise edits.
(Optional) Add more tracks.
Click SAVE and then REPLACE.
Once all claimed audio is fully replaced, the Content ID claim will be removed from your video.
3. Mute song (audio claims only)
This option lets you mute the claimed audio in your video. You can choose to mute just the song or all the video's audio.
Choose how you'd like to mute:
Mute all sound when song plays
Mutes all audio during the part of the video with claimed audio.
This option is usually faster and more likely to automatically remove the claim.
Mute song only (beta)
Mutes just the claimed song. Other audio, like dialog or sound effects, won’t be muted.
This edit usually takes longer and might not work if the song is hard to remove.
(Optional) Edit the start time and end time of the audio mute.
Keep in mind that if some claimed audio stays in your video, the claim won’t be removed.
Preview the edit in the video player.
Click CONTINUE and then MUTE. The edit will start processing.
If all claimed audio is able to be muted, the Content ID claim will be removed from your video.
In my opinion, the 3rd option should be enough, but you can also put it up on your patreon. For the folks who cannot afford it though, consider having the future episodes still available here on youtube and maybe monetary content reserved for your patreon, like dvd content, concerts, bon voyage etc...

The color grading is very much intentional. I think you'll understand when you're beginning to be aware of the storyline behind this video. Nothing in a BTS MV is unintentional or a coincidence. I'm sure someone in the comments can provide you with the content you'll need to watch in order to grasp what BTS were trying to deliver.
