Hi I am from England, I used to live in Remuera, in 1970's, but I returned to UK, seeing this again had me nostalgic, great seeing the old Post Office again, you have bought back some memories
Thank you thank you thank you, Very much Louise, So loved watching this alot. Great to see, How Remuera is these day's. I use to work at New World Supermarket when I was around 17 year's old. :) Very greatful for doing this.
That is fabulous Patricia. So happy you could enjoy and relive some memories. Such a lot of change. I did a bit of shopping at New World afterwards
And Patricia I have some photos of Komaru Street, let me know your email address and I will send on to you
I researched your relative, William Spearman Young, and have seen his explorer watercolours! Real nature's history was captured ! Enjoyed your explore and hope your lunch was pleasant!
Hollie that is so awesome. Thank you so much. Yes but many of them were also destroyed in a house fire which is sad. Thanks and always fabulous to see you😍
@@LouisePoppy That's a tragic loss but some work is preserved! 😊
Did you make it to Kaimanawa "wall"? 12km approx. on left along Clements Road. Ancient historical structure hidden in plain sight. Amazing!
I haven't been there yet. It's quite a distance from Remuera!
@@LouisePoppy And when you were at the former one tree hill (yes, it should have been a kauri). All the stone work there is fascinating, Kaimanawa wall more so.
