Bad opinions about 3 cylinder engines... Do 3 cyl engines really have any advantages.. why should we buy a 3cyl engine over 4cyl engines... 🙂

3 Cylinders are not for those who demand performance and true driving experience feel. I really shocked why India automobile industry is making 3 cylinder engines, its not smooth compared to 4 cylinders and gear ratio on each gear is underrated too . If the manufactures interest is all about to increase the fuel efficiency better invest in hybrid engines than making 3 cylinders.

A request to buyers, before buying a new car check the engine spec and compare the engine performance and gear ratio for each gear transmission, that all going to speak when you are going to drive the vehicle. Companies should acknowledge your value when you are going to invest your hard earned money. Happy driving :)

@@balakrishna-ro1cc I personally like Mahindra engines , because their moto is , the driver should feel the pleasure of driving first followed by the passengers and their engine suits well with the transmission. Their their hardwork reflects well in global markets too especially in Australian and South African markets. I am owning XUV300 diesel variant as a daily commute and i love it having 300NM of torque in my right foot. (I am not into dashboard aesthetics so i am happy with what they are offering now). I don't see any other competitors having spec 300Nm torque in 10L ex-showroom price starting from base variant

Atleast they should have provided 80+ ps on NA engine, 72 ps power to weight ratio is very low and this car cost 10+ lakhs. Suzuki, hyundai and their associates are providing better engine specs on their cars. Nissan and Renault dont have a car for NA engine seekers.
Amt version is avalable from 6.5 in base variet ... i guess base varient is value gor money

Bro I personally bought i20 1 month back. So far 1350 kms done. V v poor mileage. Even In highways 15 max. City 10-11 dhan. Except mileage, rhis is currently the best car around 10L in India.

@@arv1ndgr tata is very bad in my area. Also after I have test driven i20 IVT. Nothing matches with this. Only thing at par is amaze cvt. But amaze is outdated and rear head room is very bad . Tata stiff steering, ride quality not that good also i20 is more roomier and plushy.

@@deepan994 Before selecting a car, look for its safety rating / safety features. Dzire safety rating is 2 star in Global NCAP. Magnite safety rating is 4 star. Other features will have + and - on both the models. Rest is your choice

As a middle class we all think to keep a car within 10 lakh.
If you want safety you can select T**A. but body weight is high. due to this power will be low, tire wear and tear will be high. cost cutting done other than body to get 5 star.
Going with M****i all is OK except safety.. they can also make a car with 5 star safety but less mileage people wont buy.
Indian people need what?
1. mileage
2. resale value
3.Now SUV trend
4.less repairing cost.
So car makers concentrate on SUV with less price with more mileage that's why a 3 cylinder provided. But my personnel opinion is to go with 4 cylinder and adjust the mileage if your running is low.

magite is low budget suv car and u cant expect the performance pickup on fully loaded.

Be frank will it have a soft enough suspension to enjoy in the city or so stiff that the entire family curses me for buying a buffalo wagon.
If you say go get a test ride that test ride its over 30 kms away.

This engine is very under powered. Not even 100+ RPM and just gets 71hp. Our 2011 i10 has more power than this. I understand the cost cutting idea. But the engine/powertrain shouldn't be the one that should be sacrificed. Even in that case this engine coupled with the AMT makes it even worse. Manual would make sense. Even for city practicality this AMT sucks.
