What we saw here is just a superficial Loss Prevention from the theory point of view. These points can be expanded to include other factors. Only when you have worked in a market for several years you know the in and out of Stock control and Loss Prevention. Ok for laymen if you just want to know what Loss Prevention is . My question is who does this job? Do security staff have access to all these options? Very good question. There are many reasons for this stock variance . first, maybe the cashier didnt register 50 pieces of that item which went our the point of sale. due to this the stock was not reduced. second, maybe the 50 pieces received short in the Receiving section. Third, it may have been damaged or broken but not registered as damage which has to be reduced from system. Fourth, if the item has different flavours., it may have been sold in another flavour. so in that case the other flavour might have 50 pcs over. There are numerous reasons for the variance.
