    Actually Blake is one of the few who didn’t loose her „essence“ with her surgeries. She still gives me the same chill girl next door vibe. And she still looks like herself. For me they are not very significant changes, more like little tweaks to optimize her appearance, she didn’t go overboard nor does she look extremely different. I think she is a good representative for plastic surgery being used the proper way.

    I often wonder what kids think when their genetics gave them the same nose, chin, or eyes that their parents surgically altered. I don't mean this in a snarky way, at all. I'm genuinely curious how parents articulate their choices and how far they go to make sure their kids feel confident and beautiful with what their DNA gave them. Will it be difficult not to be as beautiful as their mother is with her plastic surgery (Blake was still good looking before, but you know what I mean)? Will those girls ask for surgery because they grew up in the superficial and judgmental world of Hollywood and they don't feel good about their appearance by comparison.

LOL No, she had a bad face face by Hollywood standards and so it took a longer time to try to make her beautiful. It is as simple as that. Blake’s older sister, Robyn Lively, was also an actress! To me, she was best known for playing the protagonist in 1989’s Teen Witch 🧙‍♀️ so acting is definitely in the family, seems like everyone acted or worked with actors at one point or another!

      @@kp4911 right?? I didn’t think of it at first but they do look alike, similar body types (appearing tall and lean) and kind of a similar vibe (down to earth girls overall, though Blake can play an intense psychopathic b*tch, she played that so well in the movie A Simple Favor!)
      But their faces are rather different. Robyn really makes me think of Christina Applegate! Both young and now, she had a very similar facial structure.

      @TheBOG3 2 роки тому +2

      Robyn is also in Karate Kid lll. Her brother Jason Lively starred in European Vacation as Rusty Griswold, he was also on an episode of The Dukes of Hazard. Blake and Robyn’s other sibs are actors, too. Eric Lively and the oldest sister, Lori (?) Lively.

      Blake and her brother Eric are the younger half siblings to the Lively siblings: Lori, Jason and Robyn Lively. Eric and Blake were born and grew up as Eric and Blake Brown. Their father, Ernie Brown (the Lively kids’ stepfather, their own father was deceased) borrowed his stepkids’ last name and legally changed it from ‘Brown’ to ‘Lively.’ Eric and Blake followed his lead and did the same. Sara Gilbert from Roseanne was the first to do this when she took her older, adopted, half sister’s last name of ‘Gilbert.’ Sara’s last name was ‘Abeles’ from her own father.

    Most of this was indeed good work, but I prefer the sparkling exuberance of the smile in the before. I think it's down to botox flattening her expression, as her formerly explosive smile is tamed by present day. Admittedly, it seems to have done wonders for her forehead creases. I'm wondering if she had any work done on her chin and jaw, though you didn't mention any. Her natural chin was quite long and fairly prominent and her nose balanced it, so when she had her nose done, I figured her chin would look out of proportion to her mid-face, but if anything, it looks more delicate now, so I don't know if that's the effects of botox on the masseters, or if she had her chin/jaw shaved down a bit around the time of her second rhinoplasty to keep things in harmony. I do think Blake looks great now, but at the same time, she's definitely lost some of her individuality. You characterized her after as "unforgettable", but to me, it's the opposite. I find her face quite forgettably Hollywood in the after, though I'm sure, in person, she'd be striking.
