For the remote you need to put the remote in the front of the arm base … there’s a sensor on the front on the base and on the back of the Chip base

Hey congrats they look really good. Pity about the plastic base and nameplate. I'm still on the fence with this, was waiting for reviews, still not decided if I want this yet.

Thanks mate, it really is a cool piece. I managed to pick mine up at a really good price due to my retailers early bird discount and rewards system.

Got mine today and I must say it was unfortunately a bit of a disappointment! 3 odd year wait for a plastic base, no edition number, and also a broken piece on the finger, it was a bit of a letdown for me personally. I fear the more that this thing gets used, the more pieces will break off down the road.

Yep definitely room for improvement, fingers crossed the electronics hold up lol

Hello. Apart from the plastic arm base. the rest is metal? The entire arm, the base of the chip? Thanks

@@simludovic Hi there, no the arm is unfortunately not 100% metal. I haven’t studied it in great detail, for what is metal and what isn’t but the piece on mine that broke is one of the 4 tendons that connects to the fingers and that is plastic unfortunately! The Chip base is metal but the Chip and Chip housing isn’t. Hope this helps?

@@philtatnell3685 Thank you for that answer. Some plastic parts of the arm were preferable for the function of movement I imagine. It is true that they should have made the base of the metal arm like that of the chip ... But the whole remains of quality ... I ordered mine for a long time. It is a sum but I find that it is the ultimate object in homage to the movie.

I cant get my remote to work either, thou it seems most people on here have gotten theirs to work. I have the sensors practically kissing and tried all mentioned troubleshooting steps, plus a bunch of other things but no luck. If anyone has tried some other remedy not mentioned and got theirs working please let me know. Does the sensors ever light up? Doesn’t look like from the videos I watched they do and mine definitely never light on base or chip. Also does everyone's chip tube fits very loosely on the base? Thanks

But what pieces came unglued? And easily fixable?

    • @wadesworld87

It was mostly on the brain chip. The uprights could be fully removed exposing wires etc. Not a big deal.
Various screws had also rattled loose in transport. Still a fantastic piece.

The arm is a mixture of materials but is extremely heavy. Brainchip display is nearly all metal except for Perspex and actual chip.

Same problem, this is how I got it working. Make sure the sensors are pointing to each other. Turn off the arm at the powerpoint and the brain chip using the switch. Turn the powerpoint back on then the remote. This should pair the units and it will remember the pair.
