Surfing on a couch for the perfect outboard propulsion for a daysailer/pocket cruiser (what about a paddle ?)... I did wonder, however why navies (US Navy, Russian Navy - with around 16 remnant Soviet era units still in service) gave up on hydrofoils when they make their way into sail racing (fuel consumption is a factor when chasing speed, but then again, sometimes a short distance sprint is all it needs) - as if there were a plateau of diminishing returns in hydrodynamics...
That is one option. Generally, people come to me with a project in mind. The initial phone call and quote process is free. I get enough information so that I can estimate the work. And then send you a quote for the work. If we don't have a clear project in mind, the I just do time and materials. I give you an hourly rate, and we stop when you tell me to stop. Then I bill you for the hours spent.
@@reidnolan4456 that's a good idea. I don't have that specifically. But you can search for information on the Queen Mary 2. She was a modern ocean liner.

Always happy to see one of your videos and learn something - thanks.
How does an initial consultation work? Do 0:01 es the client buy some hours where we can beat up ideas and sketches and feasibility?

Do you have a video on how to build a ship for Speed for ocean liner?

Love these videos. Always informative
So far, I like the sales pitch.
Interesting. Thanks.
I would be interested to hear any sort of commentary or comparison between different makes, models and sizes.
Can we have an video on the difficulties of transporting smaller vessels and how that impacts things. I would love to see one about that!
Interesting idea. Are you thinking of yachts transported on cargo freighters? Or smaller like a simple recreational boat on a road trailer?
finally another jet drive video!
How if Schneider (spelling off sorry)
If so many moving parts good?
This looks fine for a missile boat.
I suppose they have their place, but I am a fan of the shaft line systems, ASD a distant second. Voith-Schneider system, dead last.
Shaft line jet? Like Voith linear jet?Trying to look up. Thanks
@@merchantmareed Conventional propeller shaft line system, reliable like anvil.
Voith Schneider Propeller. Waaaay too complicated.
very simplistic analysis. Kamewa simply copied the innovation of HamiltonJet, who are the leaders in waterjet design and technology.
