  • With Rosie Duffield being the first Labour MP to resign, Natasha Devon speaks to The Guardian's Owen Jones.
Long-time Labour voter Owen Jones says 'he could see this coming' due to 'the various problems' with the Party.
'They have no vision, they have no soul, they're self-serving careerists', begins Owen Jones, as he attempts to list all of the issues with the government.
Rosie Duffield, 53, is the fastest MP to leave a party after a general election in modern history.
In her resignation letter, the now-Independent MP for Canterbury, wrote to the Prime Minister: "I am so ashamed of what you and your inner circle have done to tarnish and humiliate our once proud party.”

@@andrewmay1299 Just listen to the BBC. It is left wing, anti-Semitic, anti Christian and Anti British with a particular disdain for the working class. Which from the Guardian is OK because nobody is forced to cough up £170 under duress to support that load of nonsense …..but from an organisation supposedly impartial it is disgraceful

Starmer has changed the party so much it’s indistinguishable from the tories and we were sick to the back teeth of the tories. Well done Starmer and Reeves, this will not be forgotten.

@@johnrussell3961 I didn't vote to leave the EU. Stop punishing us for this decision. Maybe if elites like Sir Keir had done a better job at the top campainging against Brexit, we wouldn't be in this situation. But we are where we are, largely because of the failure of elites like him. So, the punishment should NOT fall on blameless people like me.
As for debt, personally, I'd recommend a pay freeze for all public sector workers, but Reeves and Starmer's bright idea was to increase the salaries of upper-middle-class professionals whilst punishing the elderly, poor children and the disabled. Poor decisions.
