Hi, enjoyed very much the video! this chart type or concept is new to me, and I start implementing it with Qlik Sense. One thing that I'm missing on the analysis part is the "drill-down". I mean, usually a KPI would be applied to a higher level (e.g., Customer). So in order to analyze the root cause of a signal, we would need to drill down (e.g, Parts he/she bought) . So, we are back to the old line chart.. I still didn't figure out how to prepare the data for multi-level XmR charts..
Great makeover👏 My suggestions would be rather than the blue circle, make the dashed centre-line blue where the meaningful increase occurs and colour "increased meaningfully" in the title in the same blue to visually link the 2 items. The 130 on the y-axis should be removed as it confuses the measure definition. Lastly, I'd look for a simpler target symbol, the one shown looks more like a radar screen. Thanks again.
Thanks for the feedback, @gonzosuzy! For highlighting method, I'm not sure what would be more obvious. It might also be worth considering adding an arrow from the headline to the highlighted area of the line.
Interesting comment re the "130" label. In my example, the "(cacao growers' avg daily..." label is the y-axis label, but it kind of looks like a subtitle of the chart. This might be because it's so long, i.e., if it were shorter, it would look more like a y-axis label. Food for thought.
Re the icon for the targets, I experimented with an icon consisting of three concentric circles that looked like a "bullseye," but, to my eye anyway, the "reticle" icon was more obviously a target. This could vary from one reader to the next, though.
