@MortalGamerDC1 85 1. It is. 2. Is that why it had CB writer as one of its screenwriters, who, before being approached by Nolan to make the movie, had just finished his run on Justice Society of America? On top of, the trilogy using relatively obscure or previously unseen elements of CB lore the mainstream wasn't familiar with, a.i. Ra's Al Ghul and tLoS, Lucius Fox, Carmine Falcone, Scarecrow, and gave us the iconic partnership between Batman and Gordon that was missing in Batman movies prior. 3. Baleman is the best movie Batman. Cope. 4. Can you point me toward a Batman comic where Gordon is black, Penguin is as tall as Batman, Catwoman isn't Italian, and Riddler is named Edward Nashton and wears hazmat suit?
@MortalGamerDC1 85 1. I find it amusing how someone who acts on his superiority complex calls one of the most humble men in the film industry pretentious 2. Nolan's three prior films were acclaimed. Batman in 2000s needed Nolan more than vica versa. The franchise was broken. Why would Batman have influence over Nolan's original works? It's not Batman, so why should people go and watch movies like Inception? 3. "When we look at what the canon is, we immediately go, 'okay, how do we break it, how do we change it?" - Zack Snyder
About the killing thing... Keaton's Batman killed all the time. That dude with the bomb which HE put there and others. Never understood how they pointed to Keaton and said he never did.

Batman WAS my First Favorite comic book Hero back in the 60's. Once I grew up, the movies never captured The Character to satisfy me, and I had read the "Year one" comic which DID capture what I thought Batman was really all about. THIS does seem like it could be the best Batman to date, (at least I hope so) I am excited to see it, Hope it lives up to my standards, and by the way I hope He WON"T be reduced to Murder. But we shall see. The original TV Batmobile will always be MY favorite Car, (well, actually 2nd favorite cuz the Mach 5 out does it in coolness factor), But this one could possibly be the next best one on film, DEFINATELY beats 'Nolan's tank'.
*3:03* Love the little ode to Batman and X-Men. Those were who I grew up too in the early-90s. I'll always love them. But honestly, Loki is becoming my all-time favorite. I'm an underdog like him. Always losing. Broken.
There’s a great splash page in Batman: The Imposter where Gotham has its first night without violent crime in 54 years and Bruce sheds a tear….. I’d love that to somehow be included in this film
About the "why not shoot him in the jaw" comment. In a sudden shootout a) a random person/thug without training just shoots randomly at something - no time to think, "I must do something" b) a trained person shoots as trained ie. to largest target ie. torso - no time to think, "I do as always"

Batman said “what have you done?” at 9:26
Ok, Ive been waiting for this breakdown…time to hit play…
If he kills I GUARANTEE the backlash will be way less. It always is when it's not ZS
That is one of the purpose of the chest symbol to draw fire, then he beats them before they can think
I’m excited for the Multiverse of Madness, but beating Batman will be so hardd😍
I have been loving Titans, especially the latest episodes, dark gritty exciting story and villain, great action I think it’s gotten better
You made a good point/observation about Bruce not having fear because I believe in the comics he was able to successfully wear a Green Lantern ring
That's a cape even Edna Mode would approve of
Grace saying "Sh*t!" never gets old. HaHaHa!!!
I think this completely fits in the time line of the Joker. Joaquin Phoenix could definitely play a jokers that’s 20 years older.
Honestly don’t want his Joker here in this world bc Phoenix’s Joker I don’t see be smart or even threatening
@@queenb2450 Between this time period and when the Joker movie was set, Phoenix's Joker has had many years to develop into the menacing clown while Bruce was growing up. Also, I like that the Joker already existed before the Bat came along, so then people can't blame Batman for attracting all the psychos and supervillains. The escalation would be the other way around, with Batman as the answer to the costumed criminals.
Would love to see Joaquin Phoenix reprise his role in this universe. Not sure if he'd be interested, though. Plus the timelines don't quite match up.
Would definitely love to see that too. Just not sure if Joaquin Phoenix would be interested in doing it, though. Plus the timelines don't quite match up. I think Joker was set sometime in the 70s to early 80s when Bruce was 8-10 years old. If The Batman took place in the same universe around 15 years later, it would be set in the 90s, and I don't think serial killer livestreams were already a thing in the 90s. But hey, maybe the Internet developed earlier in this universe, who knows? It could still happen.
The shot you used in the thumbnail is my favorite.
Excellent breakdown Grace!!
Grace: I'm a HUGE Batman fan.
Also Grace: Why do they keep aiming at his chest?
Lol she’s sus lol 😂
The Dark Knight still holds the title as the best Batman movie ever, let's see if this movie can set the bar even higher
I disagree. I think Batman Begins is.
Nolan Batman was crap and couldn’t fight to save himself
It did have the best character story so far
@@gooface6490 you mean the man who took on twenty armed men in enclosed space without losing stamina or making any mistake? Yeah, wish if I couldn't fight like that. Would've saved me in school.
The one I like to point to is from the 1989 film where he blew up a factory full of the Joker henchmen via remote control Batmobile.
@@TheReelSketchman thank you! Exactly!
8:39 people are trained to shoot in chest area because there is less chance of missing. No one shoots on head or legs because it’s very easy to miss
I just really love how Grace Randolph gets me more excited before even seeing the actual film. Wonderful trailer breakdown! I'm sure this film will really feature the detective side of Batman. I can't wait for them to show their future plans for other villains in their universe.
Remember when you said "Don't expect me to believe Robert Pattinson's Batman can throw a punch"? I'd like you to address that.
So bale was my batman, but seeing the first trailer RP is my 100% batman. I've got that great feeling about it. Omg I can't fking wait
Colin’s pullin his knock off sopranos accent quite well
*3:03* Love the little ode to Batman and X-Men.
I cannot stop smiling and laughing while listening to Grace on these breakdown videos 🤣
About the "why not shoot him in the jaw" comment.
In a sudden shootout
a) a random person/thug without training just shoots randomly at something - no time to think, "I must do something"
b) a trained person shoots as trained ie. to largest target ie. torso - no time to think, "I do as always"
"What have you done?!" That's what I think Batman says when he pounds on the prison glass. Took me watching it over and over to catch it though.
You are correct! It’s detailed in the subtitles/closed captions if you turn them on (they’re official)
I feel like Grace knows some things we don’t!
This is a great trailer! I will definitely be seeing this in the theater next year. 👍🏾
It’s going to have a very strong se7en vibe of ending.
7:26 Just put an older version of Phoenix's Joker to face Pattison's Batman.
He would get beat easy though.
Seriously, your commentary is HYSTERICAL. Batman with a fanny pack. I like the Dark side of this, like Batman Begins with Bale, the realism is there. People want a little humor, but the sense of reality is what DC movies NEED more of 🦇♥🐈⬛
In the past the Bat symbol being Yellow was to make people target it.
Hey Grace, you noticed the way Riddler's jumpsuit says 'Arkham Hospital' exactly like in Joker? ... just sayin 🤷♂️ ...
Batman walks and absords those bullets like he's doning an ironman suit 😹😹
One of the reasons I loved batfleck, was because he was the only Batman at the time that looked like he was angry and full of rage. Now Pattinson seems to be doing it even better, and with an intriguing
story. I think I´m looking at my next favorite Batman.
very different approach, ben batman is justice league batman where batman interact with non realistic things. This 1 is more grounded realistic approach similar to nolan batman
Bale’s Batman was also angry a lot in the dark knight trilogy.
This trailer is amazing. A definite watch for me now.
Jeffry Wright is born to play Jim Gordon role. He is just so looks Commissioner Gordon.!! 👌
