Para kasi sa ibang lahi, ang respeto ay hindi binabase sa edad kundi sa skills at status mo sa buhay. Iba iba talaga ang kultura
She's generally right and also right that its different in different places and scenarios. I'll say that in almost everything that one would consider to be Filipino culture, you can find something very similar, depending on where you live and what kind of family you have in the US. The US is not as monolithic as the Filipinos in some of these ways, but its all there, I can assure you.
If you move to the right place and its still not Filipino enough, I recommend marrying a Filipino. Then you have it all. My life wasn't Filipino enough so I gave up and married a Filipino. I'm white so I need an additional culture boost so that I can fully enjoy life.
Americans are funny in our privacy and extroversion. I frequently talk to strangers and crack joke also. Going down a hotel elevator, I joked to another couple about the "Best Western Hotel" not being the "Best Ever Western Hotel". The husband replied that perhaps it was the "Best that they could be hotel". That's just really common. Also, I'll ask people if they are Filipino. Filipinos give me a brief look of concern and then admit that they are indeed Filipino. Then, I will proceed to strike up a conversation and I enjoy getting them laughing, if I can.
I love it your explanation loved you're accent and all is true..am working at the foreign.
Thanks..stay safe and God bless
That means their humble when you call them their first name
Yes, we really have a high respect for our elders. Para sa atin awkward na hindi tayo gumalang sa ating nakakatanda.
yes, agree..
Tama ka dyan. They don't like loud and noisy people. But l think we are one of the best culture in the world. Regards sa inyo ni jerry and stay healthy all the time. God bless.
thank you
best culture then bakit mahirap ang pilipinas?

I love the way you said about us sis. And I do agree with you, that's why a lot of Americans love to live now in PI. Nice content Sis.

What about different toxic mindset between Filipinos and Americans? I heard some said Filipinos easily get angry and having fun to criticize others than Americans do
And I've heard most Americans are very racist to Asians and they are very self centered thinking the world attention is on them all the time.
As an American, even I can't get used to this culture.
Hahaaha epic, do I know you? Hahahahahhaa why are you asking how I'm doing..
Adjusted for Income and religion, below the surface and language, I think Filipinas are more like non-black Americans than non-black Americans are to black Americans.
The responses and likes you put on just the comments section shows how much friendlier the culture is. Actually found this video because I am looking at going to visit there.
Got to ask you though-is it true that people in Philippines are small and short? I ask because I’m 6’1 270lbs pretty solid built guy. I keep reading that I will have issues with public transportation there. That I will not fit in the transportation there like the bike taxis. Not sure if this was true…… If so I guess I’m staying on resort lol
Hello, first of all thank you for viewing my channel. ;-) I would say we Filipinos, majority are short. ;-) Don't worry about public transportation over there. My husband stands 6'3"and he doesn't have an issue regarding public transportation over there. Just come and see. ;-) The Philippines have become one of the best countries to visit in Southeast Asia and the perfect place to plan a tropical getaway.
So Americans are disrespectful because they don't usually say mom, SIR? And what authority should be use in that? I think you should do more research. There might be problems why you claim that way
Probably the reasons why we filipinos love to engaged or talk to our neighbor because of chismis😂😂there are so many MARITESS ( Mare anong latest??) aready😂😂✌✌
😂😂.
Huwag sa mainit
i think they way you address the differences makes it look like America isn't a desirable place o live....one thing you said that was kinda accurate...a lot people are busy going on with their lives...school, work, appointments. There's nothing wrong with addressing people with first names, but I hardly see a 7 year old doing that to a 70 year old, thats a little exaggeration there, may happen, but not often they way you imply. Another thing you mentioned, yes, if you are partying too loud at night when its bedtime, if your neighbor don't like you, they may call the cops on you. Its respectful if you keep the noise down so your neighborhood can get some sleep.
