A Christmas Carol and Last Christmas are my personal favourite Christmas Specials. We all have our own reasons why we love certain episodes more than others.
Actually, there were Doctor Who specials at Christmas when I was a kid. They were specially re-edited movie versions of stories, all shown on 27/28th of December. A regular thing in the schedule over several years. In case you weren’t aware. To me, as a kid they were new specials to enjoy in the Christmas holidays.

Very interesting choices! I do love how different opinions on DW stories can be and the Christmas specials always seem to be more random anyway. Personally A Christmas Carol is my favourite Eleventh Doctor episode and a Christmas Day morning tradition! And The Next Doctor is a slog now, though I also definitely enjoyed it more as a kid. I’d probably swap Bride and Voyage and bump up TDTWATW, Husbands and TUAT a tier, and agree with the rest (agree 100% with all of your thoughts on Last Christmas - cool elements, but it’s just a weird miss that I never get through), nice to see some love for The Snowmen and Mysterio. Merry Christmas!
Jack was originally meant to have more appearances (maybe even as a companion) after the end of Revolution of the Daleks, judging from the cut part at the end of the script. So I don't blame it for him just being there having fun :)

Husbands of river sing my favourite and then probably voyage of the dawned. Whilst not a xmas special but waters of mars I think is my favourite episode of all time as I like how it's ending echoes for the rest of tennants era
For a Christmas special I want pathos and a happy ending and ideally for it to have something for both adults and children. For me the most enjoyable one at Christmas is the Husband's of River Song. It has everything love, humour, adventure and a really lovely wrapping up of the relationship between River and the Doctor. For me its the "It's a Wonderful Life" of Doctor Who Christmas specials. Not the best episode (Genesis of the Daleks), not even the best Peter Capaldi episode (Heaven Sent) but if I was settling down after Christmas lunch it is the one I would want to watch.
You can't get past the Snowmen scene with the Tardis in the clouds and climbing the staircase. The memory worm comic scene puts it well up the list. Probably the best was the Christmas Invasion and Dr Mysterio. Add the Next Doctor, Voyage of the Damned and the Runaway Bride. The others I found a little too illogical and silly with the Christmas Carol being made just as a vehicle to bring in Katherine Jenkins.
I absolutely love Last Christmas and The Snowmen and I really like A Christmas Carol (despite the crazy breaking of every rule about time lines) and Voyage of the Damned, especially Kylie. I have never enjoyed watching The Christmas Invasion at all. It's a funny old world.
i like more the runaway bride than christmas invasion ,i also like the return of doctor Mysterio ,and maybe time of the doctor and twice upon a time (if we speak about the doctor regenerating)

I think you under played the The Christmas Carol episode, just love it and watch it every year.

I thought putting The Runaway Bride at fantastic was unholy AND THEN YOU PUT LAST CHRISTMAS IN BAD🤯 And it‘s THE ONLY ONE THERE. unforgivable.
