Great video, Sir! I'm glad you made this video...much like Brownsville, Brooklyn, the violence in Compton has been so exaggerated. YES, absolutely, gang violence STILL IS an issue in Compton, but it has calmed down a bit and the majority of people living in Compton are not gang members, but rather working class and the poor (it's very easy to be poor in a city like L.A.) who are harmless. Great Video , bro !! Greetings from Brazil
This is awesome! Boyz in the Hood was one of the best movies ever!
The Action Kid in what was once hostile territory but is now a diverse neighborhood. Lower middle class hood.
Compton is not exactly diverse...it's about 60% African American, 40% Hispanic with the Hispanic population growing quickly.
@@Gemashke its already mostly Hispanic nowadays. Numbers the other way around
@@Gemashke it’s 68% Hispanic now & it says 28% African American……in the comments section of other Compton videos many say it’s much safer now because it’s 68% Hispanic….whatever the reason it’s not the dangerous city it was 30 years ago, back then if UA-cam had existed NOBODY would even consider walking through it unless they actually lived there.
@@frank-xp6pj I stand corrected....you are absolutely correct. Thank you!
@@gizmo7365 You are correct, I stand corrected!
I haven't been to Compton since the early 2000s not exactly the best weekend of my life
I love Compton! Everywhere has it's good and bad parts. ♥️
I don't know if all of Compton looks this way but I think it's weird too see that hardly no one was out at 8 a.m. I feels like a town that is far away from the big city.
Mostly Hispanic community now they leave to work at 5 or 6 am lol kids at school etc
Thank you for visiting Compton, AK! There's so much bad rep about the area that I've never made my way to visit there. It's great being able to see Compton through your lens and it looks pretty nice and calm. 🙏
Looks r deceiving. Walk the streets at night. Then tell me how u feel bro.
@@robertdavis3433 That's why I thank AK for being brave by visiting Compton and showing his viewers of the area. I commented based on what I saw in the video, but I still don't feel comfortable visiting the area during the day let alone the night time.
@@HengMiao 14 year old killed just yesterday in Compton
@@gizmo7365 That is so sad. 😢
@@robertdavis3433 why do people from SC get in their ways when someone says a area that’s been portrayed in gangsta rap as being hood or dangerous looks nice, are you trying to put people off visiting, how about continuing the progress made by other Compton folks in making the city better and weeding out the people who would rather live in a dangerous hood so they can keep up their reputation, Compton is not, Honduras or Caracas.
Wow Cali is like a whole diffrent universe than new york
really great video bro I been to that fire station before in Compton
wow, I like the train trip, thanks for sharing
Beautiful presentation, very extravagant. I wish you success and progress in your work, health, safety and wellness. My thanks, appreciation and respect.💕💞🌹💜
You are the bravest and wisest UA-camr I have ever seen!
My man' just walked through Compton...
Great Great walkthrough AK, legendary 👏 🙌 👍 🙏
Nice looking train .
Yeah thank you for this video because I didn't know that California had such a nice clean place like this this is very new to me keep up the good work and I'm able to do tours that I might not ever be able to see all these things must be your video so God bless you
Hey bro what camera are you using ?!?!
This is awesome man. shit, i wouldnt walk through there. but you inspire many and show that not every bad neighborhood is super bad. thank you action kid. I grew up in Astoria but I live in East Elmhurst now.
Compton is actually a great city with nice neighborhoods. There is a slum in every city that gets attention. The mayor lived in my condo community. I lived there a while and never had issues day nor night. It was walkable. The rep Compton has is from the 80s gangs. Compton is 90% Latino now. A totally different place now.
Good Thursday Evening AK
Thank You So Much For Sharing This Video With All Of Us Take Care With Love Always Ms British Gray From Tampa Florida Blessings
Are you British? Britain to Tampa,Florida, I bet that was a huge culture shock!!
@@charleshunter7864 Good Friday Morning That's My Name
Are there often police officers in the donut shop?
I can't wait when AK does a video about Belmont Shore
Naples and 2nd Street as well.
All these rappers acting hard in paradise lol
You're becoming an old school investigative journalist
I Loved the video as if I'm there with you during travel in train.
Thank you so much I assume it was so bad you could not walk down the streets nice homes clean areas. Really like your page.
man dangerous neighbourhoods in the US look like disneyland compared to some places in Europe
Thank you for this video. I learned a little about Compton. Do a restaurant review as well. How was the Phat Noodles?

He's walking around Compton at 10 or 11am and says it's Normal. Try it around 7 or 8pm, and say the same thing...
You notice he's not walking too far away from the Court house...
Dang. As someone who grew up in NYC Queensbridge and Cooper Park projects...their public housing doesn't look that bad.
He didn’t go into the large public housing projects which are in watts. At least not in this video. If you want to see the real projects of LA look up imperial courts or Nickerson gardens videos
@@gizmo7365 I just looked up Nickerson. There is a "wall" of names of people that have been murdered? Whew chile... I didn't know it was that bad there...
@@cocoarose9990 not as bad as before just like NYC but still bad. I wouldn’t recommend walking in those neighborhoods unless you know someone. In most of LA cities you can show the good or bad sides. Depends by block a lot of times. Sometimes a “bad” reputation city is good to live in if you’re on the right side cuz it’s a bit less expensive.
This is the business district of compton its hardly the hood
First of all, Compton is not a neighborhood of Los Angeles; it is a city in its right. It is located in Los Angeles County of California, but is not located in the city of Los Angeles; its a separate city.
Second of all, looks like you only walked thru the good parts of Compton.
This a “good part”?? Yikes
The movies and music videos sure jacked peeps’ views on the true reality of demographics. Might of been rough in the 90’s but it’s 2021. Cool perspective man. Props!
Always find vids like this so interesting. I’m from England so it’s a good way to see how other people live, is they any one on here who can tell me if it’s really as bad as it’s meant to be? I’ve only know it from gangster films and raps, but is they really like a murder everyday?
How far are u away from Crenshaw blvd
Crenshaw is about 7 miles west of Compton, west of the 110 (Harbor Fwy).
Man Action Kid, I really respect you. I would never walk through Compton
When are you coming to Gardena??
Nice trip my friend, thank you for sharing this video
Where are all the people? In Europe streets around a Metro are busy with pedestrians at all hours.
Intersting vid thankyou.
Thank you for sharing this Video of my childhood home are you from New York .?stay Safe Love & Peace✌️♥️.
Big changes are occurring in Compton and around due to inflow of new comers ! Educated Asians and Latinos ! I literally could hear heavy Rock music and Mexican country music in the area ! Its a great feeling to hear that ! City council is changing too for the good !
Gee I wonder why. You guys are praying for us to be GONE. BUT WE ARE HERE TO STAY. THIS WAS OUR LAND! AND I'm from NYC The Bronx Saying this.
Damn Compton is so spaced out. You def need a car to get around
That goes for all of la county
Exactly the lay out is horrible here Hawthorne has a better layout and Gardena as well
all of Los Angeles is like that, really shitty layout, he didnt go in any hoods
Great city to have a custom vehicle, such as a lowrider 😎
the planning and zoning laws need to change. people have tried but it keeps getting scrapped
Not so many folk on the streets, but really nice to see, it is more liveable there.
Back in 90's used to listen to NWA, Dj Quik and Compton's Most wanted .
DJ Quik spelled his name without c, don't know why but has to do with Compton, which back in the days people refer to as Bompton, because of the main presence of the " Bloods " gang
Quik is a blood from Tree Top Piru.
