My husband found you guys. Hey we are 53/56 and love your music. Our daughter who is 16 loves it too. They’ll see you in CA in Sept! Why did he only buy 2 tickets..lol? Of course any good mom gives up her tix for her daughter❤️
Same age ballpark here. LOL. Listening to KUTX in Austin when I first heard this. Had to check their online on-air playlist to check the artist, and here I am. Great song, great vibe.
I seen an ' older' guy at the momma show last week, he greeted me at the merch table because we had the same tour logo Momma shirts, his a hoody mine a tee, he was IN his 50's
That’s awesome! I’m 48 with a wife that’s quite a bit younger(go me haha!), and turned her and my 7 year old daughter onto Momma. We crank them all the time here at home. Anyway, this band definitely has something very, very good going for them.
I haven't paid much attention to their present record label (they've been around for over 20 years and helped a lot of bands) but it feels like this band could be a big thing for them. They definitely have the sound for it.
Ive listened to this song like 100 times and for some reason it made me tear up. Idk what it is about this song... but it makes me feel something incredible..
I think for me you can tell that they're having a blast. They just have a good chill vibe and people like them deserve some recognition and pay for filling seats
This was us, back in the day. When gas was under a dollar, we used to just drive. Endlessly for hours. Just the two of us. Those days. This song reminds me so much of those days. Just perfect! Thanks for creating and sharing.
I would like to go to a concert and stand amidst the smell of ben-gay and grey hair with my fellow "older" rockers. This band has given me hope for rock/alternative music. I found out about them because I started listening to Wet Leg, but I am by far impressed with what Momma has produced for the upcoming album.
This, Rockstar and Medicine are as good as any indie rock released in the last couple of years. Genuinely baffled why the views aren't in the millions. You guys rule.
this track is like time travel. within three listens i was back in the day.. first few listens of Siamese Dream, Nevermind & Vs. no higher praise. my earworm of the decade. calling it now.
Man is it just me or are these here girls bringing back that 90s alternative rock sound back to the modern music landscape for it surely seems like it and now im a fan🎸🎧😌❤️
Almost never leave comments on stuff like this but this song just came up in an advert and I sat and listened to the whole thing. What an amazing nostalgic vibe you guys have, brilliant guitar tones, great lyrics and vocals, great drums holding it together. Can see you all selling out stadiums in the future, please make more
Want to hear more like this? Momma's LP, Household Name, has this track and plenty of other bangers. Downloading entire albums is rare nowadays, but this one was a worthwhile investment.
I had a dream of an amazing band that sounded like a collaboration of Metric, Silversun Pickups, and the Smashing Pumpkins. They called the band Momma.
I didn't realize how much I missed that vintage Pumpkins guitar sound until I watched a clip of Momma on an NPR article. Had to find more. Instant subscribe!
For some, this could be the track of the summer. And a reminder that it may still be possible to live and be alive like you were that one time in your life.
Driving endlessly in '96 hours and hours. Loved it.... Still, married that girl, still my love of life. Love her, love our old school driving endlessly. This song is perfect ❤
This is just fantastic! Hearing something new that sounds as great as anything that came out when you were a kid is a real treat. Well done and thank you
What a great vibe this song has. 🙂 2:37 "Look out your window Driving in a different town Same street, same home Buckle up so we can go Speeding 72 We're faster getting nowhere Baby we could go there Shining on a secret avenue Hear the burning rubber fanfare Baby there's a show there Meet up on a Sunday Filling up the ashtray Nothing gets in our way Always in a new place You can catch us around Listening to Gold Soundz Keep me in your car Keep me in your car"
today is my first time listening to u guys and i immediately fell inlove. this band gives me the feeling of home, OH MY GOD i loVE love this feeling i love you guys so much.
I took my 13 yr old daughter to the same Weezer concert. I've never heard of momma before that, but their performance was pretty good and she picked out the momma CD from the merch booth. Now I can't stop listening to it. They hit a nerve with a large age group. They deserve to go big.
This is my fave alt rock album of recent years. You guys have tapped right into the heart of the best 90s tunes and made something new and unique. Love it.
I’ve listened to this song so many times but rn I teared up listening to it thinking abt my grandma, she would always take me n my sis on road trips to the mountains ans different beach’s in her RV, strangely this song made me think of her
There's no ego check on the vocals. Love how they just interchange. Not many bands band have/had the sensibility to this. Barenaked Ladies comes to mind. The Pixies. Love it!
Some may not agree but I hear New Jersey, post-hardcore, emo type influences. Thursday, actually some Coheed and Cambria and Equal Vision bands I can not think of names for.
I'm 246 years old and Im loving your music!
haha same!
Rare to see people like us around nowadays!
Ha, you old goat!! I'm only 231 and digging their sound. I turned my 17-year on to it and he's a hard critic.
me when I'm Alys Rivers
This video is the motivation I needed to finish fixing up my Volvo 240.

Still waiting….
I haven't paid much attention to their present record label (they've been around for over 20 years and helped a lot of bands) but it feels like this band could be a big thing for them. They definitely have the sound for it.
Any band that references Pavement is pretty fuckn cool. Instant street cred.
Instant street. Was that you referencing Deus?!
@@FlameFlickers haha, not intentionally.
This song is timeless and beyond our realm. May we all find true friends on this planet or at least a cool car to drive around in and listen to music
Thanks for sharing this band, Flip! They rule
The Volvo 240 was my first car, wish it had been this blue color instead of battleship grey but hey, still cool!
@Will H and you think I give a shit because…
I fucking love this band, all of their songs are a JAM
Ive listened to this song like 100 times and for some reason it made me tear up. Idk what it is about this song... but it makes me feel something incredible..

It's pure 90's baby! That's why!!! 😭
This was us, back in the day. When gas was under a dollar, we used to just drive. Endlessly for hours. Just the two of us. Those days. This song reminds me so much of those days. Just perfect! Thanks for creating and sharing.
As someone who was your current age back in the early 90s, you've got the vibes down really well! Cant wait for the LP!
TRUTH!
Nailed it.

Word
Old
Definitely a 90s vibe. I thought silversun sang this! Born in 93, keep the vibes going!
Their parents should be proud of these kids!
This, Rockstar and Medicine are as good as any indie rock released in the last couple of years. Genuinely baffled why the views aren't in the millions. You guys rule.
SiriusXM has been playing them a lot lately - would love to see them keep growing - great trio
Check out Narrow Heads cover of Medicine it’s great. And they covered Narrow Heads Sunday. It was for a split 45 the label released.
this track is like time travel. within three listens i was back in the day.. first few listens of Siamese Dream, Nevermind & Vs.

Just turned 262 years old, this song brings me back to the French Revolution, love your music!!!
THIS WAS PLAYING AT A SHOP IN THE MALL

I feel like I’m too old to be watching this video being almost 40 yet it sounds like stuff from my time mixed with indie stuff nowadays. Good stuff.
good music is for everyone my friend :))))
Age is just a number.
They say I'm 49 but I don't feel it,that was supposed to be ancient when I was 19.
You’re never too old, don’t let society tell you otherwise 😁
Just heard this on 91.9
Congrats on being played on the radio!
This song is like pure bliss.
I still don't know why this song isn't ANNOYINGLY popular
wow. this band is going to be huge. definitely that liz phair nostalgia 90's rock sound of the crush you had in school
They remind me of the Breeders, and not just because they covered Divine Hammer!
687000000000000000 years old dude here. This is awesome!
Saw them live in Milwaukee, they've got to be one of the most down to earth bands I've seen!
It's ridiculous how much I love every song this band records!
This soothes my soul
OK, this song won me over with the line, "You can catch us around listening to 'Gold Soundz'." Rock on.
I'm a 37 year old 47 year old and this song changed my life tomorrow!
Pinback + Breeders + Seam, so good. (and a Seam shirt in the video; not easy finding those)
I love this band so fucking much.
Thank you for being at ally pally for bea!!
Probably the only time in my life I ever let an ad play out in full. Y’all are great!
reminds me of the late 90s - beginnin 00s music i used to listen, love it so much, thanks can't wait for the album !!!!
I had a dream of an amazing band that sounded like a collaboration of Metric, Silversun Pickups, and the Smashing Pumpkins. They called the band Momma.
Great comparison! I'm 76 and digging the shit out them. Great workout music.
@@Pancho308 Yes they have a great sound
Yes! Nailed it. Just as good as any of the great groups mentioned!
With a little dash of Veruca Salt
Great to see Metric get some love
I feel like I'm living in the 90s again. This is awesome!!

My Bloody Valentine + Silversun Pickups + 30 years
veruca salt
I think they just sound like Momma.
I like this whole 90s vibe coming out with some bands now like Baebadoobee, Wet Leg and Mommas. Keep it up.
Definitely refreshing from the multitudes of garbage out there right now! hoping for a huge resurgence of indie alternative rock!
Try Coach party and horsegirl
I would have appreciated a cameo from James Iha dressed as a clerk from a supermarket...like "1979". Very. Awesome. Band.
I didn't realize how much I missed that vintage Pumpkins guitar sound until I watched a clip of Momma on an NPR article. Had to find more. Instant subscribe!
Just saw them live, they had great a reaction from the the audience.
It was so much fun being an extra u can see me a bit with my red hat in the background at 3:16
totally 90's vibe. can't belive that is around 20 years ago
closer to 30 now, lol
Great vibes, reminds me so much of the breeders, elastica other fine 90's female lead bands.
For some, this could be the track of the summer.
And a reminder that it may still be possible to live and be alive like you were that one time in your life.
Couldnt say it better! VERY TRUE!
☝ Turns out it may also be an excellent track for autumn, winter, and spring. 🤙
Driving endlessly in '96 hours and hours. Loved it.... Still, married that girl, still my love of life. Love her, love our old school driving endlessly. This song is perfect ❤
SWEET GUITAR AND FEELING MAN. THATS WHAT MY HIGHSCHOOL LOOKED LIKE
the vibes of this vid are pristine. great tune!
Saw them open for Death Cab last night. Very impressed with the set. Killed it. New fan for sure.
Same I saw them yesterday. They killed it
Kind of an early Smashing Pumpkins vibe. Love it man!!!
Heard this song once immediately tracked down the beautiful early bird clear with blue smoke record preorder. This is so good.
Cool. Anyone wearing a SEAM shirt or even knowing about that band in 2022 is incredible and sick.
Right?? That is SO cool.

2024! and loving it... me 38 but feel like a 90's kid for one moment.
literally obsessed with this band
This is just fantastic! Hearing something new that sounds as great as anything that came out when you were a kid is a real treat. Well done and thank you
Hey, call me crazy but their video reminds me to 1979 Smashing pumpkins.
Tremendous sound, shades of Silversun Pickups, Ivy, Julianna Hatfield. Hoping to see this band ASAP at Stone Pony, White Eagle Hall, NYC...wherever.
So when will you guys be on KEXP 😉 absolutely deserve it
I was in 6th grade in '72. I still prefer new music. Love this!

What a great vibe this song has. 🙂 2:37
"Look out your window
Driving in a different town
Same street, same home
Buckle up so we can go
Speeding 72
We're faster getting nowhere
Baby we could go there
Shining on a secret avenue
Hear the burning rubber fanfare
Baby there's a show there
Meet up on a Sunday
Filling up the ashtray
Nothing gets in our way
Always in a new place
You can catch us around
Listening to Gold Soundz
Keep me in your car
Keep me in your car"
You should definitely keep me in your car when you are listening to GOLD SOUNDZ

🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 loves this band!!!!
I’m 15 and first saw you guys as one of the opening bands at a Weezer concert!! Immediately I fell in love with the vibe of you guy’s music
I took my 13 yr old daughter to the same Weezer concert. I've never heard of momma before that, but their performance was pretty good and she picked out the momma CD from the merch booth. Now I can't stop listening to it. They hit a nerve with a large age group. They deserve to go big.
So 90’s I love it, I’m so happy I found you guys!!
Momma may be the best band of the 2020s.
THEY ARE ALONG WITH WET LEG

My favorite band discovery of 2022
i see you have catered specifically to me in crafting this song thank you for this
I had that car and listened to this kind of music in the 90's. Great sound.
Absolutely love the sound of this band. I've yet to hear anything from them that doesn't slap as the kids say.

Barenaked Ladies comes to mind. The Pixies. Love it!
Love this song and the band one of my favorites and I am an
indie guru!
Lot of references to the early 1990s but 0:36 to 1:28 is absolutely 1999 to 2004. Missing out on a lot of beautiful music from that era!
Some may not agree but I hear New Jersey, post-hardcore, emo type influences. Thursday, actually some Coheed and Cambria and Equal Vision bands I can not think of names for.
I’ve been hearing this on the radio here in Minneapolis. Can’t get it out of my head
