I have three things to say: 1. I like how modern Amy looks in her classic costume 2. I kinda wish the mod gave Knuckles his hat 3. Sonic's look seems (to me) to combine his Adventure and Boom designs, and I love it🤩
1. I'm glad you noticed the reference! I chose the green and orange color palette because obviously it resembles her classic design, but I also think it just looks better on Amy. Green and Pink are complimentary colors. Also, I've always found the fact that she has pink fur and red clothes (two very similar colors) to be a bit strange. 2. I was originally going to! However, I didn't see how it would fit with the rest of his design. If you couldn't already tell, I made each character's clothes exaggerate their original color palettes. I didn't see the hat fitting with the rest of the color scheme going on for his outfit, but I might change my mind and give him the hat later on. 3. Yes! I wanted to make Sonic's outfit callback to some of my favorite Sonic games growing up. I also added the ring bracelets because Sonic collects rings (obviously). Thank you for enjoying my mod!
Originally, I was going to. However, I've seen that done many times before, so I wanted to do something different. Since Sonic wears his soap shoes in this mod, I thought it was a really sweet idea to give Tails Sonic's old shoes. I still added some more blue to Tails' design, tho! I gave him blue straps around his cuffs and socks (a reference to his classic design).
This new sonic design feels a lot "more adventurish" and "in-place", its pretty cool! if they decided to opt for new desings in this new more realistic world, this could have been the right direction for it.
Alternate Character Designs sounds like somebody putting their OCs in the game and calling it their own AU

I actually really like Amy and Tails’ new designs. Maybe they could give them alternate colors/costumes in either next week’s update or the final one

Knuckles had some serious drip with those shoes.
I don't know why, but it looks like Tails got more serious in the cutscene
I think it's because the cyberspace effect isn't as transparent. So you can see when the characters frown or smile more.

I wanted to change up Eggman's design sooo bad. I even made new textures for him as a starter, but for some reason, modding him doesnt work. :/
