Each part of the flower is sold. The time to grow is from Aug to Nov, when it’s ready for harvest. Then the bulbs are stored in soil to rest and produce another bulb or two. In short, a bulb produces 2 to 3 more bulbs each year. You can sell these bulbs too. You can contact any export house to export, but consider opening a food company in Gift City Gujarat where you can get a 10 year tax holiday and sell your saffron and everything for retail. If sold in retail, the returns are exponentially higher.
