I really liked it. Interesting, fresh, new sound. The singing girl really likes her voice. She sings with a confident, beautiful voice. The choreography was also okay. I look forward to watching them again when I have the chance.
Maybe it's because I'm an obsessive Babymetal fan and so am going to be biased towards anything Babymetal-adjacent, but I really love this. I've watched this like six times and every time I like it more and more. Can't wait to see more from them and hear the studio versions of the songs. My only gripe is that I wish the dancers were micced up to sing the backup vocals instead of relying on the backing track so much. Hopefully in the future!
I KEEP coming back to this for the 1st and 3rd song - avid BM fan. TOTALLY agree about the mics and backing tracks being used excessively at times imo (for me that applies to BM too)- and I was a bit disappointed that the audience didn't react much to her call & response - which was simple enough.
They have my full support. Please don´t try to compare babymetal fans, it was said from the beginning that they are from a different universe, that is why the concept of the multiverse does not have to be the same as the other girls. support them ❤

I liked Metalverse, I don't like pop music, but if this band sticks to the pop side and leaves the heavier side to BABYMETAL, for me it will be great. Waiting for these girls album to come out. ☺️
@@nicoleputnam7778 Yes. Megitsune is written for a standard tuned 7 string guitar, though later performances by the Kami band have made most of their songs even heavier live. Many Babymetal songs are heavier, and this Metalverse song is no exception, which I suspect is written for at minimum an 8-string (Kami band was using 8 string during the performance), and I think drop D. I haven't heard a full version of the song outside of a phone recording though, however that breakdown we do get to hear part of on studio snippet isn't just low tuned but sounds like it has aggressive palm muting open strings. It's not thall because it's just a breakdown, but it's closest I've heard so far. Other parts of the song I hear from the recording sound just as low tuned, with djent mixed in. Djent is usually what we get from Babymetal on such low tuned guitars such as Starlight which is written for standard 9 string tuning, but they just haven't gone father than that yet. There are of course other aspects to make something sound heavy, such as bass and drums.
Very interesting!! Great to see Koba extending the idea behind BABYMETAL and they seem to be doing a great job. Miko’s appearance is WAY too similar to Su and I was so confused the first time I saw her. Her voice is definitely different though. Su’s voice is distinct and very, very powerful.

I have to remind myself that this is their first public performance, they are going to get better each outing. But, in my opinion, they did well. From what I heard, some of the music had a 1980s vibe to it, nothing wrong with that, it was free flowing, energetic, and bouncy. One song sounded as if they did a song by Madonna and blended some hard rock overtones, it wasn't bad, I'm sure that will improve with time. But that last song blew me away, it has a mixture of Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy of Company B, Lou Bega's Mambo No. 5, mixed with a combination of hard rock and metal for flavor. That song was a trip!!!!! I really loved that last song, I would listen to it a lot. I admit having five members is a surprise, I will say it worked out good, I'm thinking if they had a bigger stage it would work out much better. Miki Yagi and Yume Nozaki brought it, I'm glad they poured there efforts into this performance. Again other than Kokono Kato, the other four are from Sakura Gakuin, they came from very good stock. I'll keep this brief, Sakura Gakuin NEEDS to get back together. This is the prime example of why they should. They need time to develop, they will get better each time they perform, Metalverse just showed what they are capable of, I actually enjoyed seeing and hearing them very much. Wow, this was better than what I expected. I was expecting more light, electro, poppy sound. But they really blasted technical instrumental sections into the songs. Choreo needs some polishing, but this group definitely has potential to go big.

I have been thinking that Miko was as talented as Sumetal and have been wishing Amuse would give her a proper stage where she could flourish. I hope Metalverse is such.

Some girls are from SG and I think 1 is not. They are babymetal from a parallel part of the metalverse. From what I heard they are more jpop than metal
I really like what I'm hearing. And having SG grads (+ Kokona of course) in a new project together is always welcome. I've always found it funny how people insist on comparing groups. As if you're only allowed to listen to and support one group. I listen to hundreds of bands/groups from all over the world. This doesn't make me any less of a BM fan. If you don't like it, no one is forcing you to listen to it. Just don't go shitting on peoples' parade.

Tysm for this, with the new BM song with Tom Morello I almost forgot about this😅. Besides Miko-chan, Kokona-chan and Sakia-chan y can see another former SG member but the fifth girl I can't recognize who she is but all of them got mad skills at dancing, no wonder, latest SG gen were super talented and dedicated. Overall I like the three songs, the first one got that extra energy to pump up the crowd with the heavy riffs and blaster beats of the drums; the 2nd song is more poppy with the Italian and latin vibes; and the last song they went all out with the dancing and those not so easy steps swinging. I think they got what it takes to continue with the kawaii metal legacy in this brand new Metalverse. Love the outfit with the new colors too.🦊🤘🌐

maybe miko sounds off because this is a fancam and doesn’t really have the best audio live, but her and the girls are definitely very talented. the music is great and different from babymetal but it still gives off babymetal vibes as their sister group/parallel world in the lore i think?? i love the influence of different genres and leaning more into jpop, it’s very fun and they have lots of potential. i love them so far🫶🏽
she was probably a bunch of nerves, this being their live debut at a major festival. They do have potential. Hopefully they'll release some singles soon, so we can listen to the studio versions.

さくら学院の教え、さくら学院生の魂が連綿と受け継がれていることがはっきりとわかってよかった。歌もダンスも佇まいも、５人ともさすがと感心させられる。素晴らしいよ。これからの展開を見ていこう。（一番後輩のここなはちゃおガール出身だけど、さくら学院が続いていたら、さくら学院に進んでいただろう）
さくら学院の2019年度以降はダンスのレベルがハンパなく高かったので、その面では本家BMを上回るかもしれません。でも歌唱の面では、上回るどころか並ぶことすら難しいでしょう。なんせ、Suちゃんが居ますからね。

本家が今まで築いてきたガチ寄りのメタルよりは多分こっちの方が入りやすいと考える父兄の人とか結構いると思うね。
ベビメタが消滅したわけじゃないし、住み分けの選択肢はあるわけだから、不満に感じた人はベビメタを選べばいいんだと思う。
アイドルにウェイトを振ればこっちになるといういい配分をkobaさんは繰り出してきた。
あとはこの先、神バンドについてもいくらか動きがあるような気はするな。

さくら学院はダンスユニットとも言えるほど、10人を超えるフォーメーションダンスが美しかった。
５人とはいえ、やはりダンスにもダイナミックさが出てきますね。
美湖さんのボーカルに目が行きがちですが、5人のダンスも見ものです。
MIKIKOイズムを体現できるグループが出てきて嬉しく思います。

I have been thinking that Miko was as talented as Sumetal and have been wishing Amuse would give her a proper stage where she could flourish. I hope Metalverse is such.
She is no Su but she does have a lot of talent and potential.

Some girls belonged to Sakura Gakuin, the same group from which BABYMETAL originated.
Some girls are from SG and I think 1 is not. They are babymetal from a parallel part of the metalverse. From what I heard they are more jpop than metal

2曲目はギミチョコのオマージュ？だと勝手に思ってるギミチョコはチョコの食べ過ぎで体重を気にする女の子の曲。METALVERSEはキャラメルマキアートに置き替えてやはり食べ過ぎを気にする年頃の女の子の曲w アンサーソングにはなって無いけどベビメタのギミチョコ的な立ち位置の曲として制作してる意図を感じるw ノリも良いし程良くなんじゃこりゃ感のある歌詞も面白くて好き。
もっと重くする必要がある。ギミチョコ！はヘビーメタルだった。

I've always found it funny how people insist on comparing groups. As if you're only allowed to listen to and support one group. I listen to hundreds of bands/groups from all over the world. This doesn't make me any less of a BM fan. If you don't like it, no one is forcing you to listen to it. Just don't go shitting on peoples' parade.

Tysm for this, with the new BM song with Tom Morello I almost forgot about this😅.
Besides Miko-chan, Kokona-chan and Sakia-chan y can see another former SG member but the fifth girl I can't recognize who she is but all of them got mad skills at dancing, no wonder, latest SG gen were super talented and dedicated.
Overall I like the three songs, the first one got that extra energy to pump up the crowd with the heavy riffs and blaster beats of the drums; the 2nd song is more poppy with the Italian and latin vibes; and the last song they went all out with the dancing and those not so easy steps swinging.
I think they got what it takes to continue with the kawaii metal legacy in this brand new Metalverse. Love the outfit with the new colors too.🦊🤘🌐

チャールストンって難しいステップではないけれど、戸髙さんのステップが凄く綺麗なので目を引きますね。
歌の面では、声質が管楽器と相性が良いのかもしれないと思った。
他の4人もアミューズがステージに上げるだけあってレベルが高い。
maybe miko sounds off because this is a fancam and doesn’t really have the best audio live, but her and the girls are definitely very talented. the music is great and different from babymetal but it still gives off babymetal vibes as their sister group/parallel world in the lore i think?? i love the influence of different genres and leaning more into jpop, it’s very fun and they have lots of potential. i love them so far🫶🏽
she was probably a bunch of nerves, this being their live debut at a major festival. They do have potential. Hopefully they'll release some singles soon, so we can listen to the studio versions.

さくら学院のことは全くわかりません、なので彼女達のことも誰れ一人知りません🙏

今はもう無きさくら学院ってのはアミューズのエリート中のエリート、プロの子供アーティスト集団。過去の全メンバー36名の内最年少がここにもでてる木村咲愛、かつてPerfumeのPVにもでてたことがある。いちばん有名なOGは多分女優三吉彩花だが、アニオタには声優佐藤日向で、音楽好きにはロックヴォーカリスト中元すず香。ここでリード取ってる戸高美湖は中元すず香のアクターズスクール広島の後輩であり、ということはPerfumeの三人の後輩。ここでほとんど黙って踊ってる4人の内八木美樹・野崎結愛もさくら組、みんな歌えるしコーラスもバッチリなのになんちゅーもったいない使い方すんのよ、って話。さくら学院には「センター」なんてクダランシステムはなかった。
特に八木は目立たないが見事なアルトでコーラスの背骨だった。さくら学院は、地声の子供のコーラスを聞かせる世界唯一の集団だったし、少なくともそういう音楽の楽しみを伝えてくれるパフォーマンスチームだった。「就職先=アイドル」って人たちではない、正真正銘のアーテイスト集団。
さくら学院の定員は元々12人だった。多分これは3人☓4というダンスコーラスフォーメーションが暗黙のうちにあったからだ。女の子3人というのはキャンディーズという元祖アイドルの系譜を繋いでいる、要するにアミューズ創業者大里洋吉の趣味。その大里はナベプロ出身であり、ナベプロ創業者渡邉晋こそ戦後日本の大衆音楽の中心山脈を築いた本流であり本格的なジャズを演れるお笑いミュージシャン、クレージーキャッツは仲間だった。このステージでは保守本流がスウィングしよーぜって叫んでるわけ。
もっとも10年目、最後のさくら学院の姿は2020年の8人だ。METALVERSE5人の内4人、つまり、当時の半分がここに居る(かつての8人中1人は既にステージビジネスを去った)。加藤ここなに関してはさくらに居たことはないのでなんにも知らない。
These ladies are great. Beauty and talent. Miko is an excellent singer. I would say on par with Sue. She will only get better. I want more please.
どうしてもベビメタと比べちゃうがボーカルとしてのパワーはさすがにすぅにはまだ及ばないが美湖ちゃんのセンターとしての存在感はすごいね

I broadly agree with the predominant thrust within the comments posted thus far. Good luck to them', happy for them to be part of the wider Babymetal universe. To be fair, they're not Babymetal and Babymetal is the real deal. Seeing them at the end of November and so stoked; my first time 🦊🦊🦊
Given the poppier music and obvious Idol presentation I would think that they have a different target audience. So they shouldn't be compared to Babymetal in the first place.
